Responsibilities included inspiring and motivating staff to achieve excellent sales through leadership and coaching, managing the repair and mail out department, administrative duties, opening and closing procedures, knowledge of products required for jewellery sales, training new staff members, processing incoming mail, planning and organizing events, and keeping social media up-to-date.
YM Inc. – Manager May 2004–January 2009
Calgary, AB
Responsibilities included coaching of up to 15 staff members, inventory management, payroll, filing, performance evaluations, staff meetings and merchandising. Started as Assistant Manager for 6 months, then promoted to Store Manager of a C Volume Store. Within 2 years was managing the highest volume store in Calgary. Achieved sales targets consistently.

Completed a correspondence course with 96% that provided an in-depth look into diamonds, history of jewellery, gemstones, precious metals, watches, appraisals, sales, and security. Certification is Graduate Jeweller.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Community Involvement-JCI Humboldt February 2010-Present
2015 Treasurer, 2014 Executive Member of the Year, 2013-2014 Vice President Internal, 2012 Secretary.
Certified Trainer for JCI through completion of training courses Impact, Admin, and Achieve.
Planned and was master of ceremonies for an extremely successful JCI Humboldt Community Christmas Party for which I was awarded “Project of the Year” at our annual banquet.
Attended an Effective Speaking Seminar facilitated by JCI Canada.
Coordinated a weekend training seminar for our Chapter and arranged for the JCI National President and Vice President to facilitate the training.
