Dating back to Saxon times, Willenhall became famous for the production of locks and keys during the Tudor period. This heritage is still reflected in the town’s coat of arms and the Locksmith’s House Museum in New Road demonstrates how a locksmith family lived and worked during the Victorian era.
Much of the town centre is now a designated conservation area and the historic High Street retains many attractive old buildings.

Wolverhampton train station provides a fast and frequent service into Birmingham New Street station in around 18 minutes and trains into London Euston station take around 1 hour 40 minutes.
