Retail clinic/convenient care clinic Retail clinics, sometimes called convenient care clinics, are located

in retail stores, supermarkets and pharmacies.

Urgent care Urgent care centers, sometimes called walk-in clinics, are often open in the

evenings and on weekends.

medical history and any ongoing health conditions.

Emergency room Visit the ER only if you are badly hurt. If you are not seriously ill or hurt, you

could wait hours and your health plan may not cover non-emergency ER visits.

FOOD SAFETY Keeping food safe and fresh at your next family gathering

It’s picnic and barbecue season and we all love this time of year. It’s a

time when we can enjoy being with good friends, family and eating good

food. However, everyone has heard of that time when Uncle Jimmy got sick

on Martha’s macaroni salad. You don’t want your family gathering to be the

next “family story” everyone tells, so here are some tips to help make sure

your food stays safe and everyone has a great time!

SUMMER SAFETY Play it safe this summer while having fun

Apply sunscreen before spending time outdoors. 1

Always supervise children when playing in or near water.

Watch for children and adults on bicycles, motorcycles, skateboards and motor scooters.

Apply insect repellant to clothing and exposed skin before spending time in the woods or areas with tall grasses.

When hiking or biking in unfamiliar surroundings, use a trail guide to learn about the terrain and any snakes or other wild animals you might encounter.
