Air Cmde Subramanian Shankar has taken over as Prof & HOD, Internal Medicine at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune w.e.f 27 Aug 2018.

He is a graduate of the Armed Forces Medical College. He did his Post Graduation in Internal Medicine from the same college and was the University Gold Medalist. Subsequently he obtained his doctorate in Clinical Immunol from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

He was the past editor in chief of Indian Journal of Rheumatology (2009-2013). He has 111 publications in vario reputed national and international journals including Nature. He is the winner of several academic and research awards including the prestigious IRA Oration award (2014), Dr JN Berry Award & Dr PJ Mehta Oration of API Capital foundation award 2016. He has also recived ICMR’s prestigious MN Sen Oration Award in 2019.

He has a keen interest in Autoimmune diseases, Molecular Genetics & Proteomics, Economics, Mathematical Modeling & Biostatistics

Gp Capt TVSVGK Tilak MD (Med) DNB (Med) DM (Medical Oncology) FRCP (Glasgow) He is an aluminus of AFMC and a post graduate from this college. He is the recipient of the university gold medal in MD Medicine. He is a Medical Oncologist with keen interest in

Regulatory T cells, lymphoma and CML.

Surg Capt Anuj Singhal MD DNB (Med), PDCC (Rheumat) EULAR (Q) He is an aluminus of AFMC and a post graduate of Delhi University. He is a keen researcher with over 100 publications in national and international journals.

Col R Srinath MD(Med), DNB Neurology He is a graduate of Karnatak Medical College, Hubli and post graduate from AH(R&R). He is a neurologist with keen

interest in neurophysiology.

Col Manish Manrai MD(Med), DM Gastroenterology He is an aluminus of AFMC and a post graduate from this college. He has done his DM in gastroenterology from PGIMER Chandigarh. He is an avid researcher with keen interest in liver diseases.

Col T Murari MD(Med), DM Nephrology He is an aluminus of AFMC and a post graduate from this college. He has done his DM from AIIMS New Delhi where he was awarded the gold medal in Nephrology.

Col Vishesh Verma MD(Med), DNB(Endo) He is a aluminus of AFMC and post graduate of this college. He has done his Superspecialisation from AH(R&R). He is a keen researcher and has special interest in metabolic endocrinology.

Lt Col Vivek Aggarwal MD (Med), DNB (Med),Post doctoral training in Geriatric Medicine, Post Graduate Diploma in Health Care Management He is an aluminus of AFMC and a post graduate of this colloge. He has done post doctoral studies from CMC Vellore. He is a keen researcher with special interest in participation restriction in geriatrics.
