JobBeing part of a very helpful team led by a very co-operative manager.Workplace which encouraged open communication.Given adequate opportunities for skill enhancement.Good employment engagement activities by organization.Opportunity to make onsite trips.Adequately recognized for the efforts put in.

LifeBeing a part of a loving and caring family.Being imbibed with good values and culture.Having made several mistakes and facing hardships,thereby developing survival skills.

After pondering on these points, yes, we do feel a littleupbeat about our life and past jobs.

Short list of things we are grateful for.

Job satisfaction is a result of a combination of various factorssuch as:

ColleaguesInteraction with co-workers outside of work place. Jobs that provide Training, Variety, Independence, Control

Sense of Purpose.Each individual has a different expectation from his/her job.For some, the prospect of working long hours, networking etc.would be very satisfying but for some it would be anightmare.Even personality of an individual will play an important rolein deciding his/her job satisfaction.Also, for these kind of jobs an affectively committed employeewill be best suited.Summarizing, we do feel that only certain individuals areattracted to these types of jobs, but the characteristics of the job also play an important role in deciding satisfaction of theemployee.

Do you think only certain individuals are attracted tothese types of jobs, or is it the characteristics of the jobs themselves that are satisfying?
