MOTHERSOFBELIEVERSUMMAHATULMUMINEEN

My Beloved Prophets Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam belovedfollowers! There are many verses and Ahadith which explain theexcellencesandvirtuesoftheMothersofBelieversRadiallahoTaalaAnhum.AllahTaalastates,

'O wives of the prophet' you are not like other women if you fear Allah, therefore be not so polite in your speech lest one in whose heart is a disease should feel tempted, yes, speak good words.

[SurahAhzab:Verse32]Atanotherpoint,AllahTaalastates,

This prophet is the owner of the Muslims even more than their own selves and his wives are their mothers.

[SurahAhzab:Verse6]

It is a unanimously agreed fact that the blessed wives ofRasoolAllaharelikeouractualMothersintwoways.Thefirstisthatnoone iseverallowed tomarry them,and the second is that theymustberespectedandreveredasarealmother;rathertheyshouldberespectedandreveredmorethanourownmothers.However, intermsofmeeting and communicatingwith them, they arenot likeourownmothersbecauseAllahTaalastatesintheHolyQuran,

And when you ask them anything of use, ask it of them from behind a curtain [SurahAhzab:Verse53]

Muslimscanlookattheirownmothersandcanalsobealone

withthemandtalktothem.However, it isnecessaryforallMuslimmen to veil themselves from the blessed wives of Rasool Allah

SallallahuAlaihiWasallam and tomeet and sitwith them alone isprohibited.

My Beloved Prophets (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) belovedfollowers! Mother of Believers Hazrat Aisha Siddiqua RadiallahoTaala Anha is the pious, blessed daughter of Hazrat Abu BakrSiddique Radiallaho Taala Anhu. Her mothers name is Umm eRooman.ThreeyearsbeforethemigrationtoMadinah,RasoolAllah(SallallahuAlaihiWasallam)performedmarriage (Nikah)withher inthemonthofShawwal.ShecametolivewithRasoolAllah(SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) in2AH inMadinahandwasblessedwithbeing inthe company of Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) for nineyears. Shewas the only previously unmarriedwife of RasoolAllah(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and was the most beloved by RasoolAllah(SallallahuAlaihiWasallam).

MENTIONEDINAHADITH

Inmentioningherexcellence,RasoolAllah (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam)said,RevelationsdidnotcometomeonthequiltofanyofmywivesexceptHazrat Aisha.Evenwhenshe issleepingbesideme on the bed, the revelations from Allah Taala continue todescend.(BukhariShareef)

In another narration, it is reported that Rasool Allah

(SallallahuAlaihiWasallam)saidtoHazratAishaSiddiquaRadiallahoTaala Anha that,For threeconsecutivenights, Isaw inmydreamthatanAngelhadwrappedyouinasilkclothandbroughtyoutomeandsaidThisisyourwife.WhenIremovedtheclothfromyourface,

Iwassurprisedtoseethatitwasyou.ThenIthoughttomyselfthatifthis dream is from Allah Taala, then He will make it come true.(MishkatShareef)

SOMEREASONSFORHERSUPERIORITY

My Beloved Prophets (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) belovedfollowers!BelowaresomeofthereasonwhyHazratAishaSiddiquaRadiallahoTaala AnhahassuperiorityovertheotherblessedwivesofRasoolAllah(SallallahuAlaihiWasallam): RasoolAllah(SallallahuAlaihiWasallam)didnotmarryanyother

virginexcepther.

She was the only wife whose both parents were emigrants.(Muhajir).

AllahTaalarevealedherpurityandchastityintheQuran. Beforehermarriage,Hazrat Jibraeel Alaihis Salaampresented

herfaceinasilkclothtoRasoolAllah(SallallahuAlaihiWasallam)andhesawherinhisdreamforthreeconsecutivenights.

Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and Hazrat AishaSiddiqua Radiallaho Taala Anha would take water from thesame container when taking a bath. This honour was notbestowedonanyotherwifeexcepther.

When Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) would performTahajjudprayer,shewouldbesleeping infrontofhim.Noneoftheotherwiveswereshownthisamountofmercifullove.

She would be sleeping under the same quilt as Rasool Allah(SallallahuAlaihiWasallam)andtherevelationsfromAllahTaala

would continue to descend on Rasool Allah (Sallallahu AlaihiWasallam).

At the time of the passing of Rasool Allah (Sallallahu AlaihiWasallam),hisblessedheadwasbetweenthechestandthroatofHazrat AishaSiddiquaRadiallahoTaala Anhawhenhe left thisworld.

RasoolAllah(SallallahuAlaihiWasallam)passedawayonthedaywhenhewasstayinginherquarters.

TheblessedgraveofRasoolAllah (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) isinherhome.

CONDUCTINNARRATINGANDREPORTINGAHADITHHer status amongst the blessed wives of Rasool Allah (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) is veryexalted in the fieldof Jurisprudence (Fiqh)and Hadith. She has narrated 2210 Ahadith from Rasool Allah(SallallahuAlaihiWasallam)174oftheAhadiththatshenarratedareinbothBukhariandMuslim,54othersareinBukharialone,whilstafurther68AhadithhavebeenreportedbyImamMusliminhisSahihMuslim.The restof theAhadith that shenarratedare in theotherbooksofAhadith.

EXPERTISEINTHEFIELDOFMEDICINE

Shewashighlyskilled in thescienceofmedicineandcuringillnesses.Hazrat UrwahbinZubairRadiallahoTaala Anhumastatesthat One day, I said in astonishment to Hazrat Aisha SiddiquaRadiallaho Taala Anha that, Mother! I am amazed at yourproficiency and experience in the field of medicine and curingillnesses.Fromwhereandhowdidyouacquirethisknowledge?

Upon hearing this, Hazrat Aisha Radiallaho Taala Anhareplied,RasoolAllah(SallallahuAlaihiWasallam)wouldoftenbeillinthelatterstagesofhislifeontheearthandlocalandforeigndoctorswould send medicines for him. I used to treat him with thosemedicines and that is how I obtained knowledge of medicine andhealingillnesses.

HERWORSHIPANDGENEROSITY

Her status in terms of worshipping is highly exalted. Hernephew, Hazrat Imam Qasim bin Muhammed bin Abu BakrRadiallaho Taala Anhum, states that, Hazrat Aisha SiddiquaRadiallahoTaala AnhawouldperformTahajjudpunctuallywithoutfailandwouldalmostalwaysbeFasting.

Shewasalsodistinguishedandnotableamongsttheblessedwives in terms of her generosity and charity. Umm e DurrahRadiallaho Taala Anha reports that she was with Hazrat AishaSiddiquaRadiallahoTaalaAnhawhenshereceived100,000Dirhamsfrom somewhere. She immediately distributed all that moneyamongstthepeopleanddidnotkeepasingleDirhamforherself,andshewasalsoFastingonthatday.

EXPERTISEINARABICPOETRY

Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair Radiallaho Taala Anhuma, whowas thenephewofHazrat Aisha SiddiquaRadiallaho Taala Anha,reports that aswellas Jurisprudence (Fiqh)andHadith,hedidnotfind anyone who had more knowledge about Arabic poetry thanHazratAishaSiddiquaRadiallahoTaalaAnha.Duringthecourseofaconversation, she would always quote verses of poetry that werealwaysveryopportuneandappropriate.

Hazrat AishaSiddiquaRadiallahoTaala AnhapassedawayonTuesday17thRamadhanulMubarak inMadinatulMunawwarah.HazratAbuHurairahRadiallahoTaala Anhu ledher funeralprayerandaccordingtoherwill,shewasburiedatnight inJannatulBaqeebesidetheotherblessedwives.
