HAVER TYPE 7480 H – HIGH PERFORMANCE NET WEIGHER

The HAVER net weigher’s low mainte-

nance needs, rugged construction

and compact size make it especially

easy to install in existing filling plants.

For providing operational safety, the

double-bottom weigher trapdoors

are equipped with a self restraining

system and remain closed in the

event of a compressed air outage.

All corners are rounded as well.

The filled volume of the container is

up to 120 dm3 and allows a weighing

range of 10 to 50 kg. Mobile filling

plants require operator-friendly

cleaning, and so all containers are

now equipped with cleaning covers

and protective enclosures designed

as doors.

The HAVER MEC® III electronic

weighing system with three load cells

make up an automatic weighing unit

that’s easy to calibrate.

As a result from continuous inno-

vation of our high performance net

weighers, now up to 2,400 dischar-

ges per hour with a consistently

high level of weight accuracy can be

achieved when filling free-flowing

granular material.

COMPONENTS

Dosing unit maintenance cover All parts are easily accessible for mainten-ance and cleaning. The dosing hopper isequipped with a maintenance cover, whichmakes it especially easy and quick to cleanwhen changing over to different products.

Weighing containerEquipped with a double-bottom trapdoorfor providing extremely short dischargetimes. Depending on the product and fill weight, the volume is between 68 -118 litres. Dosing unit maintenance cover

Load cells The weighing container hangs from threeload cell members. This prevents the adverse effects of temperature fluctuationsand assures consistent weight accuracy.

Door enclosuresAll components in the weigher area are easily accessible thanks to an easy-to-remove and lockable metal panel. This panel may be equipped with an electricalmonitoring system if requested.

DPS data processing system

The DPS V 4.1 data processing

system is a program for detecting,

recording and reporting process

data. Data from the HAVER weigher

controller and other compatible

check weighers can be collected.

Up to eight packing lines may be

managed simultaneously using the

appropriate PC interfaces. The

weigher data can be evaluated to

produce statistics such as mean

weight, standard deviation, total

weight, total number of bags, etc.

This allows daily, weekly, monthly

and annual reports to be generated,

as well as single weight reports,

weigher diagrams and Gaussian

distribution curves.

The MEC® III weigher electronics

The MEC® III is the result of continu-

ous innovation of HAVER electronic

weighing systems. More than 18,000

electronic weighing units are in

operation worldwide. The MEC® III

can be calibrated and is a PTB

approved measuring instrument with

a resolution of 6,000 increments. In

addition to weighing, the MEC® III

controls the machine functions. The

operation and display of all functions

take place at an operator terminal

with graphic display (see page 4) or

via the MEC® III terminal panel of the

FFS operating system. The simple

and well structured operating

sequences are menu-guided, or

executed simply by pressing a

pictogram function key. Plain text

messages are given in English,

German and in the local national

language.

FUNCTIONAL PRINCIPLE OF THE WEIGHER

The control loop of the HAVER electronic weighing

system delivers the highest level of weight accuracy,

even at maximum filling rates. The weigher adjusts

itself automatically to various products and ambient

conditions.

HAVER NET WEIGHER WITH WATER RINSING

The HAVER net weigher equipped

with automatic water rinsing is an

important success factor in batch

filling operations.

A concept that will convince you

High pressure spray nozzles clean

the entire product area, thus allowing

the weigher and filling system to go

back into operation after the shortest

interruption time. This assures

reliable cleaning whenever changing

the product or colour. And to reduce

the drying time, the area can be

dried with either warm or cold air.
