HARYANA GOVERNMENT POWER DEPARTMENT DRAFT NOTIFICATION

Haryana Government Power Department vide Notification No. 23/8/2016-3P

dated 25.02.2016 constituted a committee of following offices to look into the issue of

rationalization of load norms for various properties developed by builders/developers

and Bank Guarantee as a safe guard against electrical infrastructure to be developed

by them commensurating to the ultimate load .

iii. MD/DHBVN Member The Chief Administrator, HUDA and the Director, Town and Country

Planning were the special invitee to the meetings of the Committee.

The above Committee held discussions with various stakeholders which

inter- alia included CREDAI the confederation of builders/developers, officers of

HUDA and Directorate of Town & Country Planning on 25.03.2016 and 29.04.2016 .

The Committee also deliberated the revised report submitted by sub Committee

headed by CE/OP, DHBVN, Delhi (in compliance to deliberations held on 25.03.2016)

in its meeting held on 22.06.2016 and after threadbare discussions evolved

consensus on the issues and submitted its report vide minutes of meeting dated

22.06.2016 . Taking into consideration the report of the Committee headed by MD,

HVPN, Panchkula, the State Govt. proposes to make following amendments in the

existing Load norms circulated by DHBVN vide Sales circular No. D-9/2014 (Copy

Enclosed):-

1. Load Norms for Group Housing societies (Flats/ Apartments):- Keeping in

view the long term infrastructure requirement as well as the load norms being

followed in neighboring States etc. The load norms are fixed as below:- Size (Sq. Ft.) (Carpet Area) Connected load (KW)

EWS Flats 3 0-900 8

901-1100 10 1101-1300 12 1301-1500 14 1501-2000 16 2001-2400 18 2401-3000 20 Above 3000 24

These norms will be applicable to all the categories of towns.

2. For the purpose of fixation of load norms, the towns have been classified under four

categories which is given hereunder:-

Load norms for Plotted Colonies:

1. Category 'A+' - Gurgaon

2. Category 'A' - Faridabad, Manesar, Sonepat, Panchkula, Ambala, Panipat,

Karnal & Rohtak.

3. Category 'B' - Yamunanagar, Jagadhri, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar,

Bahadurgarh, Palwal, Rewari, Kaithal & Kurukshetra.

4. Category 'C’ - Jind, Bhiwani, Narnaul, Jhajjar, Narwana, Hansi and other

such small towns not covered under categories A' & 'B' above.

The load norms for various categories of Plots as per above classification

of towns has been fixed as under:-

The above load norms, shall be

applicable prospectively only and shall be subject to revision after 5 years

period.
