What Are the SavannaStone® Advantages?

ADVANTAGE #1: Virtually Limitless Design Capabilities Custom mold designers utilize wood, fiberglass,

and plaster to create just about any shape and size possible within the cast stone industry: arches, quoins, dentils, panels, medallions, etc.

Color can be customized to fit your palette. 2FT standard sizes can be manufactured in the

same mix design as custom units, creating a uniform color throughout your building.

What Are the SavannaStone® Advantages?

ADVANTAGE #2: Lowest Water Absorption Rate in the Industry When tested to the specific cast stone standard for

absorption [C1195], SavannaStone® is unequaled. Our analysis has shown that a lower water absorption

cannot be obtained without sacrificing the high quality bond with mortar that our product maintains.

Due to our industry low 1.9% to 2.6% tested absorption rate, SavannaStone® was able to exceed the freeze/thaw ‘loss’ allowance test by a hefty 40% margin. This is particularly comforting in cold weather climate areas such as Illinois.

What Are the SavannaStone® Advantages?

ADVANTAGE #3: The Dry Tamp Production Process Process offers a smooth consistent finish which

is less porous/permeable than other types of manufactured and natural stone. This helps control color variance.

PSI strength can be maintained at higher levels than quarried limestones.

Dry tamp provides the most natural-looking cast stone result possible without unsightly bug holes, veining, or large visible aggregate.

*All cast stone should be tested to ASTM C1364 in all circumstances. ASTM C90 reports from our competitors are invalid. While we easily pass all ASTM C90 tests, they are designed for CMU or block shapes and sizes such as our Turlington® Thru Wall products.
