Why Read?

Although this book deals with fantasy material (magic,mythical creatures, etc.) it also embodies a great numberof relatable themes. It is a coming of age novel that deals

with discovering ones identity, notions of right and wrong,good and evil, as well as friendship, prejudice, death, loveand more. Although generally it is a fantasy novel, it has

elements of adventure and mystery. And while it was

originally aimed at children and young adults when written,this book is adored by people of all ages. And, if you like it,

this book is just the first in its series.There are six more that follow.
