400 students aged 12-16, general education. In Hardenberg, the Netherlands. 4,000 sqm.

High educational ambition combined with growth of the school.

Low budget and a large, competing school as a direct neighbour.

Efficient way of combining classrooms and corridors. The central hall also functions as a canteen.

Each group of classrooms represents a field and has its own facilities (lockers, tables, toilets, storage).

The space outside the classrooms feels like a real extension: it works very well. Extra attention to the climate (acoustics, fresh air, cooling).
