The Way of the WarriorBy Erle MontaigueA warrior is not just a person who has learned some moves, is able to kick at 90 miles per hour or who has won the world championshipsat kick-boxing. A warrior must earn his title. The martial artist is a person who knows things that go far deeper than just self defence, heis someone who walks into a room full of people and an immediate calm falls upon that room, he is a person who can touch a person'shead, or arm, or hand and cause an inner stillness and peace to fall upon that person. You know a warrior not from the way he looks, hisbig biceps, or his rolled up sleeves revealing a row of tattoos, or his shaven head or the fact that he wears his full gi (karate uniform) toparties!

We know the warrior by his presence and the healing he automatically gives to everyone he meets. His energy, his 'Qi' is touching you,you don't feel anything physical, but rather the internal effect of this touching, and peace is with you.

The warrior looks upon the earth in a different way than those who are not warriors, everything, from the smallest insect to the largestmammal, and the most insignificant rock or tree is important and has life, the grass he walks upon, he thanks for softening the roughpath he walks upon, the trees, he thanks for giving him shade and oxygen. Everything has importance because it was put there bymother earth for some reason.

Sure, he has to live in modern times, he must drive a motor car and go to the supermarket and mow his lawns, but always, he neverloses sight of what he is, and more importantly, where he is. He knows that what he is, is not only what he has made himself to be, butalso what is handed down to him and what is an accumulation right inside the very cells that he is made of, from his ancestors.Everything that they were, is now him, every bit of information that his fathers and mothers gathered is now inside of him, this is howwe live on in our children, we literally, and I mean literally, pass on our knowledge, along with eons of knowledge accumulated since thebeginning of time, to our children. Everything that we are at the conception of our children is passed on to them. We think that we havecertain talents, but the warrior knows that all that he is, has come from the beginning of time, he knows that he is made up of the samestuff that a rock is made of, or a tree or a blade of grass, the difference is only physical. He knows that he owns nothing, and that allanimals are free, his animals chose him to be with, he does not go to the pet shop to chose a new dog, he knows that the dog haschosen him to come to that pet shop to chose it.

The warrior communicates with the earth; he talks to the dogs, to the cats and owls, to the snakes, not so much verbally, but simply bybeing. This is the one thing that everything on earth has in common, being. He knows that there are forces at work on this earth, forcesthat he must learn to go with and to live with, otherwise he will surely perish. The energy within the warrior has the power to join withthese forces, and then he has the power to change. But this comes not without payment, for he also knows that we cannot receivewithout first having paid for it. The whole of the universe is based upon this giving and taking, it is called yin & yang. For every up theremust be a down, for every happiness, there must be sadness, for every full tummy, there must be an empty one. The warrior knows thathe must lose in order to gain, and so he sacrifices. He sacrifices his food, he sacrifices his sexual longings, his every day comforts, inorder that he has the power to change and to help others to change. Not in going out specifically to help others, but to have the internalpower always there to automatically help others to be peaceful, and in doing so, they too will be able to see where they are, and whothey are. We are not only someone's son or daughter, we are the sons and daughters of an infinite amount of people, those who havepassed on to us their cells inside of which is hidden the very substance of creation and everything that has happened. Not 'since timebegan', because there is no beginning or ending.

Being a martial artist is only one hundredth of what a warrior is, it is only a part of the whole, it is what gives us the confidence tobecome a healer, the internal energy to make changes.

A warrior knows that we do not have teachers, but guides, the people we meet who are able to give us something internal, thatsomething extra to cause us to become our own greatest teachers. Just by simply being, a guide helps us to realize that it is we,ourselves who teach us, because the warrior also knows that locked away inside of everything, is that primordial cell that contains allinformation. He learns to read this information which comes in the form of 'flashes' at first, and this is too much for his feeble humanbrain to handle, he shuts off as soon as the flash arrives. But soon he learns to read these flashes, and they become longer in durationthan just a moment. This is when the warrior knows that he is reading time.

He learns to communicate other than speaking, he knows that his physical needs are being looked after, and needs not worry aboutwhere the next mortgage payment will come from.

The warrior finds his place on the earth and stays there, where the power is. It is not a physical searching, but rather the warrior is'taken' to where he must be, and there he stays, and the whole world will pass by, he needs not to travel, because the universe is therewithin him, and those who will in turn need to seek him out, will do so when their time is right, in just the same way that he did when hehad to travel the world searching for his own guides. They then will learn to teach themselves from within, and also then go and findtheir own place, and he may never see them again, but this does not worry the warrior, he is in contact.

The warrior is not the master, he is neither the sifu nor the sensei, these are just physical words that we put upon ourselves to make usseem important, or better than those who we guide. The warrior is a friend to his students, and so cannot be our master. He does notwish to gather students as they will search him out, and those who need to have a master or a sensei will not stay, they will keepsearching until they realize that what they search is within them, and who they search, can only be their guide.

The warrior is always there for his students. He will always answer his own email messages and phone calls no matter how inane orstupid they may be (and boy do we get them!). But he always takes the time to try and help those who are seeking advice. He neverputs himself up so high and mighty that he should not answer emails or phone calls. This behaviour is relegated to the celebrities of thisworld who really do nothing but who think they are something.

The Warrior is often seen doing nothing at all and this distinguishes the real Warrior from the pseudo warrior. The real Warrior is seen tobe doing nothing but is really doing something!

So as you can see, I now have more videos on every possible subject of the InternalFighting/Healing arts than any other instructor and was also the FIRST person ever to put Tai Chi onto Video way back. However, this "fault" of mine has caused me some grief in that others have then taken MY information that I have fought for hard and long to get over the past 35 years andthey have used it to gain money without even acknowledging that it was from me that they obtained the information! Whole books have been published about things thatcould ONLY have ever come directly or indirectly from myself! So now that I am finally into the final stages of one's Tai Chi training and giving out the stuff that reallyturns the lights on (as all who have been taught this will tell you), I am forced to withhold this information from everyone other than my most trusted students and instruc-tors.

Eli Montaigue, Erle’s son and now head of the WTBA has viewed over many weeks all of Erle’s DVDs on the differing levels of Yang Lu-ch’an’s old form. This was donein an effort to bring WTBA instructors into line as to what and how to teach this complicated form. Eli shows the various mistakes that most instructors make when they forisnstance, go straight into the more advanced of Erle’s forms rather than beginning at the beginning etc. He then filmed this class so that all WTBA instructors would beteaching the same form! This volume is 2 hours and covers from the beginning to half way through the 2nd third up to the Wave Hands Like Clouds set. NB:// Eli does notteach this form, but rather show individual postures.

For the first time ever, the very rare 4 Dim-Mak forms or "Cornerstones of Dim-Mak" are taught by Erle Montaigue. These are the only forms that Dim-Mak has as it is notan art unto itself! However, the masters of Wudang only taught these 4 cornerstone forms at the end of one's training. They taught you how to turn movement into reflex ac-tions in real fighting situations and also for healing the body. Here Erle teaches the Third of the forms, the "Valleys" form, which works upon the Pericardium, Bladder andKidney meridians. Some potent Qigong Methods also in this/these forms.

MTG352Dim-Mak Cornerstones V. 2 “The Air/Sky Form”

Here Erle teaches the second of the forms, the "Air or Sky" form, representing the 3 organs of Lung, Colon andStomach meridians. The Qigong associated with this form is called "Mind/Body Qigong.

MTG351Dim-Mak Cornerstones V. 1 “The River Form”

In this series, Erle takes you through the first of the very rare 4 Cornerstone forms of Dim-Mak. Dim-Mak does not actually have a system on its own, as Taiji and Bagua arethe foundation forms of Dim-Mak. However, near to the end of one’s physical training at Wudang, 4 intricate but beautiful forms were taught to give you the “keys” thatunlock the whole of your training thus far! They are based upon the four main EARTH elements of Water (River), Air (Wind), Valleys and Mountains. They are based uponthe internal aspects of those “elements”, very powerful, often slow and flowing, often very explosive.

MTG343Bagua Pole Form

At last, Erle Montaigue has finally put onto DVD the brilliant Baguazhang Pole Form. Unlike the Bagua Staff form which is based upon the Linear Bagua Form, this Poleform is based solely upon the Classical Bagua Circular form. The pole is heavier and taller than the Staff Form Pole and is an excellent body building form as well as for selfdefence (if one were able to carry it in the street nowadays). Broken into 8 “Pole Changes” in the same way that the Bagua Empty hand circular form is, this form gives youall of the body work for the self defence area. It tones up all of the important muscle groups for fighting.

MTG342The Special Energy Flows On the 8 Extra Meridians in Yang Lu-ch’an’s Form: Volume Two

Erle continues this series to the end of the first third of Yang Lu-ch’an’s form. More volumes will be added soon. This series was taken from Erle’s annual Summer camp inRostock Germany in July 2008.

MTG341The Special Energy Flows On the 8 Extra Meridians in Yang Lu-ch’an’s Form: Volume One

This is an exciting area of your Tai Chi training as it presents for the first time, the special Qi flows along the 8 Extra Meridians! There are two types of energy flows inthe body during training in this form. There is the “ACTIVATION” of the Qi postures which activate the Qi at the 12 main meridians during training and there are the“Special Energy Flows” along the 8 extra meridians. The 12 Main energy flows heal the body mainly while the 8 extra meridian flows give you the internal andexternal power over very short distances. When one’s training is beginning to rise to a more advanced “Small Frame” level, you will begin to feel these energy flows whichwill then change the way you will perform the postures. If one were to teach this, it would not be correct as it would be purely physical and not internal. You must wait untilyou have risen to that high level before the special flows will change the way you do each posture. Here, Erle teaches exactly where the energy flows for these special powermoves so that the student can be aware of it once it begins. For instance, sometimes, the Qi will enter through the Yang Chiao Mei from the ground and then join with theDai Mai meridian to cause great centrifugal power for striking etc. Volumes one and two cover the whole of the first third of the Yang Lu-ch’an form, also covered are somenice power Qigong methods.

MTG340:Bagua Linear Qigong & Body Building Form: Volume Two

Erle continues with this series on how to use the Linear Bagua form as a healing Qigong method as well as a sub-conscious body building method.

MTG339Dim-Mak: The Most Practical and Most Deadly Point Strikes and Combinations from Dim-Mak: Volume One.

Here, Erle Montaigue begins a new and exciting area of training; that of Dim-Mak and the most easily accessible and practical points to strike to gain the most effect. On thisvolume 6 very violent self defence methods are taught all aimed essentially at the CV22 point with peripherals including GB3, ST9, GV15 and other extremely dangerousDim-Mak points. Also included is Fa-Jing Testing which is the only way to test one’s advancement in this explosive part of one’s training. Fa-Jing is the motor of allInternal Fighting Systems without which we would not even have a fighting art. It is the explosive attacking method that teaches us how to gain great power from only a fewinches away. This is Erle Montaigue getting back to what he does best and what he is known for. Real Self Defence methods, practical and violent. They HAVE to beviolent!

MTG338:Push Hands: This Is How We Do It. Volume One: Double Push Hands

On this DVD, Erle Montaigue takes you from scratch, exactly how to perform REAL push hands. Not the silly, “you push me, I push you” type where both partners havehuge low open stances but rather a self defence type of push hands, that teaches you how to fight at a sub-conscious level. The power for striking and defence comes frompush hands and the more you practice, the more powerful you will become. All of the correct muscle groups are exercised for self defence and not for competition. Thisseries is a must for anyone wishing to advance in their Tai Chi training and indeed in their self defence ability over-all. Anyone, from any system will gain great power bypractising this method.

MTG336Tai Chi Cornerstones

The Tai Chi Cornerstones are the building blocks for advanced Tai Chi Ch’uan practice. The basic form gives you the foundation, and then the cornerstones give you the solid corners on which to build your "house".There are 4 cornerstones and all are based upon the Tai Chi Classics left to us by the Masters of old.We have the "Crown being pulled up by string" which is the first and most important as it teaches us exactly where toplace the weight. Then we have the legs, the waist and the hands. All 4 are then joined and coordinated so that your Tai Chi builds into your advanced practice.

For the first time ever published are the Bagua Animals Power Qigongs of Dragonwhich gives you motivation skills whether to defend yourself or to write that symphony! The Lion Power Qigong is also taught which gives you the ability to go into theReptile Brain mode for serious self defence situations.

Erle also covers and continues with the "Qi ACtivation & Manifestation" series whereby we take each pf the Old style postures and use one hand toactivate the Qi for healing while the other hand is doing the healing. This is an exciting area of one's Tai Chi training.

MTG327Insights Into Qigong, Pushing Hands and Catholic Girls! 50 Minutes.

This DVD titles also comes from Camp 2007 in Rostock Germany where Erle Montague gave one of his many impromptu and unexpected lessons after dinner one evening. This covered some deep insights into Qigong, how it works to heal the body and also to gain power from the backbone. The Push Hands is something close to Erle's heart ashis ideas and experience only ever lean to the real world self defence methods gained from push hands. No long open stances, just standing there as if you were in the street.

MTG326Qi Activation & Manifestation Using Yang Lu-ch'an's Form Volume Two. 1 Hour and 15 minutes.

Quite an exciting area of one's advanced Tai Chi training and in fact any internal martial/healing arts training. This is where we learn about how the hands in particular workin activating and manifesting Qi for healing and especially for medical Qigong methods. You never notice it when you see some advanced Tai Chi Master practice, however, one of his or her hands will be activating  the Qi by moving over the Tantien in a certain manner while the other hand is manifesting that activation for healing on anotherperson. This set was made at Erle Montaigue's annual summer camp in Rostock Northern Germany in August of 2007 over 5 days. Please read an article on this here:http://www.taiji-qigong.co.uk/Free_To_Download/Erle's%20Articles/Articles/tai_chi_commect.htm This covers how Baguazhang does the same thing, but the principles areall the same.

MTG319:The Physical Side of the Internal Fighting Systems with Erle Montaigue. Volume 14: The Secret Yang Family Houses/RingsNo. 5

Well, Erle promised last month that the June workshop was going to concentrate on the combat aspects of our system and boy did he deliver. The sun shone on Saturday as we traversed across the country- destination Llangadog. For once the Gods were smiling as the sun was also shining on the other side of theBrecons! As we all huddled inside the hall, Erle started with what has now become our customary warm ups - striking the focus shields. We began with the "crane spreadswings" punch directly from our form, however, done with a slight twist. This time our so called "kill-shot" was to become our secondary shot. The primary shot would be astun type shot followed instantly by the big guns firing!!! This really got the muscles warmed up and then Erle started "drinking" one big lump from the spitoon!!!!Ok! If the above doesn't make sense then buy the video and you'll see what I mean - the topic turned to the Reptilian Brian (yes, that does read BRIAN - again those whowere there will understand for the rest read Brain!!!). Erle talked at length about the importance of the reptilian brain during real combat and how to access this wonderfulorgan. After explaining the "C" back and how that linked with the reptilian brain mode, off we went again to work upon the shields to develop these ideas. The strikesagain were multiple reflexive attacks in defending ourselves. After a short break out came the bogo masks and we finally got to strike directly at our targets as opposed pulling our punches. This, again, added another dimension of re-ality to the training methods. As before, Erle demonstrated the attacks on Eli (and jarred his neck on a couple of occasions - healed with fatherly kisses!) before he let usloose upon one another. Also covered: Angles of attack and  The Tai Chi Posture "Chee" with multiple kill methods. As the day wore on we continued with the chin na applications, which we started last month, covering "guard your house" & "fist under elbow" as well as beginning theHawk form of Baguazhang (more about this later). We ended the Saturday by learning a qigong which would help us develop our reptilian brain & "C" - back mode. Thus, the day came to an end. It actually went rather quickly, as we hugged each other & shook hands firmly. Myself and Jerry in our matching purple tops - we could havebeen mistaken for twins in our colour coordinated training gear until someone mentioned that Jerry was white and that ended that!!!Back we traversed across the land making a short pit stop at the Sommerfields in Llandovery, where Kam was shocked to find the checkout staff speaking - wait for it- Eng-lish!!!We arrived with our bruised and battered bodies back to Leicester, hoping to fall into a deep slumber and get some rest for the next day - did I heck!!! I ended up mowingKam's mum's garden till 10 at night while that git went home & slept!!!Sunday morning, the sun shone, the birds sang until that is we passed Hereford - dark clouds gathered on the Welsh borders as the summer came to an end!Onwards we went towards Llangadog to begin another day.Well there were a few more faces on Sunday. Erle again drank from the spitoon and we carried on from the previous day.Yielding and understanding the classics regarding to this very misunderstood topic was flavour of the day. Again, the detail and information regarding this subject wasof the highest quality, delivered in a typically Erle fashion with the aid of a Monty Python sketch! However, all the horsing around didn't distract from the importance of understanding what it meant to yield. Erle tied this subject up beautifully by linking it's importance tothe small frame form and push hands or joining hands as he prefers to call it. This was certainly an eye opener for those who perhaps haven't had the chance to do a lot ofpush hands etc.Once more we linked everything into practicing our attacks using the concept of "yielding" followed by some chee sau including the reverse roll. Again, throughout, Erleemphasised the importance of the "power stance" whilst plying our trade. We returned to the Hawk in the afternoon and continued from where we'd left off the previous day. I'd like to think that by the fourth change, we were all diving & tumblingas gracefully as the bird in question but that'd be a lie!Jerry looked like a chick that has tumbled out of it's nest! Elliot & Neil appeared to be doing the form in synchronization, which rather resembled Come Dancing! Kam triedto film it all without switching the camera on & I, mercifully, faked an old war wound and saved myself for the attempt to come in Germany!!!At 1.45pm, I reminded Erle he had also promised to show us, both, the yin & yang side of the Xingyi Fire Drill on the previous day, to which he replied in the way onlyErle can - "Oh F**K!"And that's how the weekend ended. Ben rummaged around for a spare tape and in ten minutes flat we had the Xingyi drill down and filmed. Most of us were brain-dead atthat point, so it didn't really matter! Oh, and we had only made it 1/3 down Erle's list of things to do!!!With broken bodies we said goodbyes, slumped into our cars and headed home. And it rained!!!!Roll on the next session on 30th June-1st July!!P.S. I am so knackered that it is now 1.45 in the morning and I can't sleep!!!

MTG317:The Physical Side of the Internal Fighting Systems with Erle Montaigue. Volume 12: The Secret Yang Family Houses/Rings No. 5

Taken from Erle's Invitational Instructor only classes in Llangadog Wales. This volume and the next volume 13 (above) include the following. From Erle:These classes are to teach about reflexive self defence. We do not learn about sparring or even fighting, just real self defence from a sub-conscious level.Sparring in fact is the worst thing that one can do if you wish to learn about self defence as it causes you to learn about sparring! And "Sparring" does nothappen in the street, nor does tournament "fighting". Sure, if you wish to do a sport then do your tournament sparring but do not expect it to save you in areal fight! In fact, many have discovered that it is almost impossible to learn real self defence methods when they have learned and practiced tournamentsparring for many years or even become World Champions etc. First real fight in the street and they go down. This is because they have never workedupon reflexive actions, they have in fact tried to use their kata as self defence! And Kata and Form are NOT for self defence, they were only ever meantto teach us how to move, well "Form" was for that as most karate schools teach that kata is for fighting! So from now onward, this is where we take what we have already learnt in these classes and put it into the real world. The punching mitts and shields arenow replaced by your body! We will be doing what we in the internal call; "attack/defence". This is where one person will gear up in protective stuff andtry to knock his partner's head off! And his partner has to react reflexively and register a solid and telling blow onto the attacker's body.Of course, this will move along very slowly as another damaging area for real self defence is going into it too soon or simply having to fight someonewhen you aren't ready. So do not worry, we will be taking it very slowly and those who perhaps aren't up to it yet, we will be gentle!I will also be covering push hands, da-lu and ch'i-na along with stick fighting on a more basic "bang 'em up" level as we have now finished the twelveWudang stick fighting methods forms. Our multiple kill and single kill methods have now become a little more sophisticated in that we have other things to do other than just bashing the shyteout of the opponent! We still do that, but also take into account that other things might happen and we have to be aware of these. So these are incorporat-ed into the training. We will also continue with the developing of the "Fa-Jing Muscle" training in order to train the group of muscles particularly involved in issuing fa-jingor explosive energy.Xingyi also gets a look in with the next of the drills covering the fire elements both yin and yang drills. So come along as these classes are accumulative and on-going so to miss out, is to miss out!Happy trainingErle

MTG316Bagua Walking, This is How It Is Done:

Here, Erle teaches the most important Bagua walking method. For the first time shown physically, the mud stepping and what it really means, why we have to walk in thisway and exactly how to do it. ALso on this DVD an introduction to the "Fa-Jing Muscle", where it is and why. This group of muscles is essential for gaining power forpunching and generally attacking.  You cannot punch with greet power from short distances with the classic "6-pack" abs. This area will also be discussed in greater detailand exactly how to develop this muscle in the next Erle's Fighting System The Physical Side Volume.

MTG315Erle Montaigue’s Fighting System: The Physical Side: Volume 11: Multiple Strike Kill Methods. The Secret Houses/Rings of the Yang Family: House No. 5.

MTG314This is Tai Chi Ch'uan, This is How We Do It. (Volume Two)

This series of DVDs  is being shot during Erle’s Invitation only instructor’s classes, the 5th of which was held in Llangadog, Wales UK 3rd and 4th of February 2007. SeeBelow for details. This volume takes you to the end of the first third.

MTG313This is Tai Chi Ch'uan, This is How We Do It. (Volume One)

This series of DVDs  is being shot during Erle’s Invitation only instructor’s classes, the 4th of which was held in Llangadog, Wales UK 20th and 21st of January 2007.The traditional way that one would learn Tai Chi, was to not speak. You would simply watch and join in behind your instructor as he would perform the form movements. This way, you would pick up a little each time physically with the sub-conscious body remembering and taking in the inner movements of the instructor. This is why theysay that it took some 6 years just to learn the form. In modern times, we had to have a way to teach it a little quicker, so the form was broken down into components andtaught as individual postures and movements. So you have two sides of the learning way. So I decided after 40 years of doing this stuff to take the middle road and teach thiswonderful art to a handful of dedicated students, in a semi-traditional way. So we took the form and broke it down into a number of parts whereby the student would watch, then join in and allow his or her body to pick up internally what was happening. Then after some time, we would stop and take a look at this module and make anycorrections and give advice before going on to the next module. This way has worked out really well with all saying that they found it challenging to leave behind old waysof learning but also very rewarding in that their body would pick it up much quicker. So here we have the first 4 modules of this method of learning, which is also a moreadvanced method encompassing all of "How We Do Tai Chi". The waving form, the spiral or Silk Reeling Form, the Stone Hands Form etc., This is simply How Tai Chi IsDone. It doesn't replace the old breaking it all down method of learning as most will probably wish to stick with that way. But for those who wish to take this art into thesub-conscious realms, this might prove invaluable. And even when you have already learnt the form to a degree in the old way, it is quite challenging to learn it this way andmany of our most senior instructors found this very helpful to their understanding.

MTG312Erle Montaigue’s Fighting System: The Physical Side: Volume 10: Multiple Strike Kill Methods. The Secret Houses/Rings of the Yang Family: House No. 5. (PartNine)

This series of DVDs  is being shot during Erle’s Invitation only instructor’s classes, the 4th of which was held in Llangadog, Wales UK 20th and 21st of January 2007. Here, Erle presents for the first time, Yang’s 5th House, the little known physical side of the Yang Style, no BS, no mystical garbage, just excellent and practical physicalstuff on gaining great power for multiple strike kill methods to all parts of the body. The Yang Shou-hou side of the Yang Family was quite hard and often, blood would beleft on the floor. Gaining the power from short distances was the key to this type of training. Speed was useless unless extreme power was also present. So this series givesyou that ultimate power. You will gain the confidence knowing that you can take anyone out no matter how large or powerful he is with one or two strikes.Included on this volume:

Tai Chi Chee-Sau (Sticking Hands), Short Stick Fighting, Applications of over-kill.It’s no use learning all of the forms etc., and not knowing how to punch! And it has been our experience that not many people actually know how to punch. Sure many canline themselves up and break boards, but in the street instantly, they cannot gain the necessary power from only centre metres away to take someone out instantly with onepunch. This DVD teaches how to do this.

MTG304The Phoenix: Bagua Animal Forms

The Phoenix is that mythical bird that tries to fly into the sun. However, the Chinese Phoenix has his feet stuck to the ground so never quite gets off. He represents the Lungsand the lower lumber vertebra. His element is Wind/AIR. His attacking method is ‘windmill palm’. The family member of the Phoenix is the ‘Eldest Daughter’.The phoenix uses whatever it has to defend itself. It will use its wings/hands, beak and feet. It will use locks and holds while the feet or beak attack. So we see with thisanimal, some nice footwork. This form is excellent for when you are perhaps bogged down and need some motivation. The lungs are the powerhouse of the body and so thisform works on the lungs thus giving great power in fighting and healing. The phoenix form makes many movements on the outside of the circle. This is the balance the Qi internally and it is this that gives you motivation from this form.

MTG302Yang Lu-ch’an’s Silk Reeling Old Style Form Final Volume 9.

The nextpostures of Fair Lady Works Shuttles, then takes that energy input and locks it in to the tantien. The 3rd third has been really formulated to work the Qi even

MTG301The Secret Houses/Rings of the Yang Family: Volume Three: House 4, Part Two. (Fighting & Sung)

On this 2nd part of the Yang’s Secret House No. 4, Erle takes you further into the secret methods to take your double push hands into real fighting methods. You are taught that you don’t really move back and forth in push hands, but rather side to side using economical movement in defence and attack. You aretaught how to gain the immense power that Tai Chi has to offer by learning about perfect timing, all gained from your REAL push hands methods. Some veryuseful and deadly fighting/self defence methods are shown. These methods come directly out of double push hands using the p’eng/hinge method. Thisvolume is a must for anyone wishing to take their Tai Chi into the realms of realistic street self defence fightingThe Secret Houses of Yang are what makes Taijiquan great. This is what distinguishes the 'red herring' Tai Chi from the real thing. What makes a silly, 'youpush me, I push you' tai chi into a real fighting self defence system. These 12 houses or rings as they were often called, were what the Masters taught onlytheir most treasured and trusted students and or family members and even went as far as giving us all the wrong information to stop us from getting the'family jewels' as Yang Sau-chung once told me. Why is it that we are told that Tai Chi ch'uan means 'Supreme Ultimate Fighting' when we are taught thissilly thing of Pushing Hands? Why would you want to do that? You do not push each other in real fighting. This way of pushing hands was also a red herringto keep us off the trail of the real thing of 'Joining Hands', which is the way that we are taught how to fight in Tai Chi. Joining Hands is eye opening.

MTG300The Secret Houses/Rings of the Yang Family: Volume Two: House 4. (Sung)

On this volume, Erle Montaigue teaches the 4th House of Yang where we are taught how to take the very excellent and needed training method of PushHands into the real world self defence area. Just about every type of attack and defence is covered as well as one legged pushing. This method, House No.4 is necessary to take your push hands to that next level, to jump out of the pond so to speak and turn from a tadpole into a frog. This is what real pushhands and self defence is all about. The Secret Houses of Yang are what makes Taijiquan great. Joining Hands is en eye openingexperience and will probably answer many of your questions and fears about learning how to use Tai Chi for fighting.

MTG299Bagua Fighting: The Beginning, Volume Two.

Baguazhang is an amazing fighting system for realistic self defence. It teaches us to react at a reflex level instinctively and sub-consciously, using whatever method issuitable for that type of attack upon you. This is where Erle Montaigue learnt how to fight; the exact methods he used to take his internal arts to that higher level. On thisvolume, Erle takes you further into the fighting methods of Bagua, covering the very deadly methods of ‘Single Pounding Palm’, point striking and fighting techniques. Thisseries will teach you at a reflex level how to REALLY fight rather than simply learning some kata and expecting that to help you!

MTG298Bagua Snake Boxing

The Snake represents Water and the organs are Bladder, Liver, Kidneys and Spleen. The Snake flows with the force in order to defeat it, he slips in anywhere without youknowing! The Snake’s family member is the ‘Second Son’.This form is particularly good for the whole body when done at its correct speed. The movements from the waist are the key to this form and also to the healing aspects. Thisform works upon the life force meridians of Kidneys Bladder, Liver and Spleen thus toning up the whole energy system. I can attest to this as I am possibly one of the most‘tested’ medically people around, so I am able to test before and after training in this form. You feel energized and alive after it. As a side line to this form, it contains someof the most deadly and useable fighting methods of any martial system, emulating the movements of the snake with its powerful mid-section acting as a turbo to throw outthe upper and lower limbs with great power and speed.

MTG297You Need This: Volume Two:An Eclectic selection of Erle Montaigue's Fighting, Healing & training Methods:

Taken from Erle Montaigue's March 2006 workshop in London UK, This series catalogues all of those very important training and fighting methodsthat cannot be put into any particular category. On this second volume, Erle covers the very important area of Sinking. Without correct sinking, we never really get to know what real internalarts are about. Sinking is the very foundation of all internal systems, but most people only ever try to get to this level at a conscious level.Balance, grounding, power, fighting ability and self healing are all enhanced when one has the ability to 'SINK'.

MTG296You Need This: Volume One:An Eclectic selection of Erle Montaigue's Fighting, Healing & training Methods:

Taken from Erle Montaigue's March 2006 workshop in London UK, This series catalogues all of those very important training and fighting methodsthat cannot be put into any particular category. On this first volume, Erle covers and teaches, the most important area of Qi Awakening using firstly, two methods, one from Bagua and one forTaiji, in order to 'wake the qi' ready for action. These are excellent methods for instance for teachers who are beginning a new (or current) classand wish to gain some cohesion between the students and a balancing of the total energy in that class. You will find that if the energy is a littlelow to begin with (cold), after these are given, the whole class will be 'up'.Also included on this first volume is the way of 'bumping push hands' whereby the student learns how to sub-consciously think about multiplethings at the same time and of course this is important for the fighting arts.

MTG295Bagua Bear Boxing:

Bear Form:

The Bear represents the Mountain. He is steadfast, powerful and one of the earth. The bear is ferocious when protecting its young, but gentle athome. His organ is the stomach so this form works upon the ST meridian mainly. The family member of the Bear is the ‘Youngest Son’. This isone of the shortest of the Full Bagua Animal forms because the Bear does not need that many techniques. Truly deadly and ferocious fightingmethods are presented in this DVD title along with one of the best healing forms.

MTG294The 10,000 Fighting Techniques of the Old Yang Style: Volume Three.

Not really 10,000, this is just the way that the Chinese have of describing that there are a lot of them. 10,000 seem to be the number that they use for everything that has tobe done a lot. Here, Erle Montaigue carries on with the long awaited series on the main applications from the postures of the Yang Lu-ch'an form showing not only thebasics but also the dim-mak applications following each posture. This is not meant to teach the Old Yang Style as one should already know it, it is just to demonstrate and toteach what each posture is for. On this volume Erle takes you from the posture known as High pat on Horse just before the first kicking section and up to the posture calledHigh Pat On Horse, (but not including) in the third 3rd.

MTG293Erle Montaigue's Master Teaching Classes, Volume 6.

On this volume, Erle talks about the power that is gained from the Internal systems and how to gain it through various Qigong methods. Not only the physical power of being able to use fa-jing to strike with amazing power from very short distances, but mainly, the powerthat you can gain to help you in your daily life; how to change your circumstances; how to get things to happen. You cannot use thispower to hut others or for evil reasons, only for the good of others and yourself. These internal methods will teach you how to gain thispower and how to use it to change your life or to set you onto the correct path that you should be on already but perhaps may not beable to see the 'wood for the trees' so to speak.Erle also continues on how to teach the basic form to stark beginners.

MTG292Bagua Lion Boxing: The Full Bagua Animal Forms V. 3

The Lion is the most violent of all the Bagua animals. He is solemn, explosive and aggressive. His power is awesome and his organ is the head/mind. He represents‘Heaven’. His family member is the ‘Father’.

As with all of these animal forms, even in their Qi Awaking state, you must always keep in mind the animal they represent. You cannot simply do these movements as hu-man beings. That is why the movements were formatted the way they are, so as to bring out the animal in us for self defense.

This form above all others will lead one into the contact with their ‘Reptile Brain’Also included on this DVD are some very useful 'Lion' violent fighting methods which are not for the faint at heart!

MTG291Erle Montaigue's Master Teaching Classes, Volume 5.

Continuing the instructor's courses; this volume begins showing exactly how to teach the Yang Cheng-fu form, which is also pertinent to all other forms. Erle shows some ofhis tricks of the trade so to speak, in trying to get new students to understand how to move correctly. It's not enough to learn a form and then go out and show someone elsehow to do it; you must also know HOW to teach it. And this is what Erle teaches on this volume. Also covered is the continuing 'bumping arms' practice, taking you moreinto the advanced methods of this wonderful conditioning exercise which is great for those students beginning their Tai Chi or Bagua training as it shows them that there isanother side to the internal arts other than just a dance or health exercise. Also covered is the Tai Chi Chee Sau, or Sticking Hands, adding some foot work to the basic handmovements. If you are interested in becoming an instructor or already are one, then this series is definitely for you. The form itself is covered in such detail that a ruler isalmost required to get the exact positioning of the arms hands and feet. And Erle also gives his acquired anecdotes in order to teach beginners exactly how, when and whereto move their hands and feet.

MTG290Erle Montaigue's Master Teaching Classes, Volume Four.

Erle Montaigue continues his excellent series on how to teach an internal martial/healing arts class. In the beginning, Erle was only concentrating upon teachers who alreadyhad experience in teaching. However, more and more beginners wanted to see what this class was all about and it has been found that they have discovered also, an excellentway to learn the internal from the ground up. In learning what the 'teacher' must know, they also learn a huge amount and gain a great insight into the whole area of learningthe Internal Arts. On this volume, Erle takes you through some amazing qigong exercises that are tailored to the beginning class in order to bring the whole class into alearning phase and to concentrate the energy of that class as a whole upon what is being taught. Some excellent fighting methods are also taught as part of this way ofbringing the class together.

MTG289Bagua Fighting: The Beginning, Volume One.

On thisfirst volume, Erle takes you through the theory behind the way we use Bagua for fighting and how we use abstract training methods to gain a superior self defence method. He also covers the first part of 'Bagua Boxing' training with a partner where we walk the circle touching wrists using pressure launching all types of attacks and using allkinds of defensive methods from the Bagua repertoire. If you want to learn how to really fight, then this is one of the best starting places to begin

MTG287Bagua Monkey Boxing (The Full Bagua Animal Form)

The Monkey is the closest animal to the human being and as such we are able to emulate this wonderful and deadly fighting system easier. The monkey is relentless in hisattack using relaxed but deadly palm fighting methods which makes use of his very heavy arms. When you are struck by this method, it feels like a huge piece of wood hasstruck you. There are 8 separate sections all joined together into one beautifully flowing and powerful form. Each section has one or two 'modules' which have something incommon, a way of fighting. When done correctly, this form is able to bring out the 'animal within' or the 'reptile brain' within. Once this aspect is mastered, you will haveone of the most formidable fighting systems ever invented. This DVD runs for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

MTG286The Erle Montaigue Fighting System (The Physical Side) Volume One.

Many people have asked for this series covering purely the physical movements techniques and ideas from what has become to be known as 'The Erle Montaigue FightingSystem'. On this volume, Erle gives an introduction to this way of fighting which has been derived from the internal arts of Tai Chi Ch'uan and Baguazhang. He introducesthe idea of using longer weapons that the attacker and making the attacker feel like there is no distance between he and you (you have struck him before he has even time tostrike you). Erle covers leg attacks using your front foot and how to gain great power off of this foot. He gives some really good fighting methods using the feet. Then hegoes on to begin the way of Monkey Boxing and how it really relates to human beings and how to gain the tremendous power that Monkeys have in their arms and hands. He teaches the Monkey on-guard stance as well as the human on-guard stance and how to go into the 'reptile brain' from this stance. In a nutshell, this series teaches you howto fight like a wild animal and not like a human being!

MTG285The Baguazhang Animals Entering & Fighting Techniques Volume Two.

MTG283The 8 Bagua Internal Power Sets/Exercises.

Bagua has an unique way of teaching about internal power and as with all internal systems all one has to do, is to train in a few simple training methods in order to gain greatpower from within and from without. There are actually 16 training methods crammed into this one volume because each of the 8 sets has an inner part and an outsidemethod. I.E. Fighting and entering methods when you are on the 'inside' of the attacker's arms and those when you are on the outside of his arms. These methods can also be used as entering methods when an opponent has a strong on guard stance etc. They are done solo as well as with a training partner taking theenergy or Qi right up through the ground and out of the palms. These are also excellent for the healing arts such as massage, tui-na, acupuncture etc.

MTG281The Secret Houses/Rings of the Yang Family: Volume One: House 3.

The Secret Houses of Yang are what makes Taijiquan great. You do not push each other in real fighting. This way of pushing hands was also a red herringto keep us off the trail of the real thing of 'Joining Hands', which is the way that we are taught how to fight in Tai Chi. Joining Hands is en eye openingexperience and will probably answer many of your questions and fears about learning how to use Tai Chi for fighting.Erle Montaigue teaches in this volume the third house of Yang, the way of Joining Hands, how to feel the weight and deal with it, how to stop an attack withonly two inches of movement, how to really move a force of 4000 lbs with only 4 oz. more into moving the feet and learning how to move correctly in such situations.

MTG269Bagua Animals: The Entering Methods V. 1 Hawk & Dragon.

Each of the 8 Bagua Animal Forms has two 'entering' or 'opening' methods. These are methods that allow us to get in to an attacker who has a solid on-guard stance who would otherwise be impenetrable. We have a closed side offensive and an open side offensive method for each animal form.  TheDragon leaps, undulates, twists and changes. he is unpredictable. The hawk (see below).

MTG268The 8 Baguazhang Animal Forms, Qi Awaking Forms Volume 6The Falcon (Hawk) or Rooster Form:The Falcon’s element is ‘Fire’ (some people call this animal the Rooster or Hawk). His body part is the eyes. His family member is the ‘SecondDaughter’. He is brave and courageous and fights to the finish to save his family. Spinning & Turning over, using a chopping method is his way offighting. An equally important body part for healing is the Heart. This is one of the nicest continually moving, circling and spiraling forms and reallyworks upon the Qi and adjusting flow of energy in the body for a more balanced flow. This is the 2nd longest animal Qi Awaking form.

MTG267The 8 Baguazhang Animal Forms, Qi Awaking Forms Volume 5The Lion Form:The Lion is the most violent of all the Bagua animals. He is solemn, explosive and aggressive. His power is awesome and his organ is the head/mind. Herepresents ‘Heaven’. His family member is the ‘Father’.As with all of these animal forms, even in their Qi Awaking state, you must always keep in mind the animal they represent. You cannot simply do thesemovements as human beings. That is why the movements were formatted the way they are, so as to bring out the animal in us for self defense. This form above all others will lead one into the contact with their ‘Reptile Brain’. In order to do this form correctly, the Reptile Brain must be used. There is also a Qigong associated with this form for activation of the Reptile Brain. For this form, I always like to think of those pictures where the lion is leaping at a wilder beast as it goes by or turns. He/she is absolute aggression. Webegin with the Lion Qigong method.

MTG266The 8 Baguazhang Animal Forms, Two Person Training Methods: Vol. 2Bear and Monkey Forms.

On this volume, Erle teaches the very powerful two person set of “The Bear”. He is powerful and never gives up until his attacker is defeated. He locks andblocks the attacker’s body before demolishing him with his powerful arms. The Monkey is totally different in that he is sprightly, very quick and very difficult to fight against as he seems to get in everywhere, he is also very sneaky. This form is also taught.

Each of the major postures from Bagua have a hidden meaning, either for the healing benefits or for gaining of power for the fa-jing and fighting system. And the hiddenmeanings are hidden in the very names of each posture. This information was only ever given out to very advanced students after they became proficient in the fighting sideof the art as when once was proficient in self defence, one could then understand about the healing and Qigong side. Goes from the end of V. 1 up to the end of Palm Change4. By knowing the names of each posture, we are able to find the hidden way to perform each posture as well as to find the hidden healing meaning or Qigong to gain poweretc. For instance, the posture called 'Leaning On the Horse & Ask The Way' works upon the energy system of the body which is stored in the backbone.

Moontagu DVD Catalogue 2010: Page 22

giving forms from the Baguazhang Animal Sets. The Snake represents water, however, unlike the Monkey who represents the 'Lake' with its bright andsparkling surface, the Snake's 'Water' is the fast flowing river. The river can get in anywhere and is very deadly. On the other hand, the river is also lifegiving, hence the Snake's excellent healing of the Spleen (nourishes), Kidneys and Liver. So the Snake also works upon the life force.

MTG260Silk Reeling in Taijiquan Yang Lu-ch'an's Form V. 4

The 4th in the series takes you from Single Whip to Shoulder Press covering the most advanced level of Silk Reeling Tai Chi plus the 4th of the Fa-Jing Silkreeling training Striking Methods.

MTG259The 8 Baguazhang Animal Forms, Two Person Training Methods: Vol. 1Snake and Phoenix Forms.

The 8 Bagua Animal Two Person Training Forms are an integral part of one's Bagua training. Each form teaches the essence of the animal whose name itshares. How to gain the power of each animal, how to move like the animal in essence and how to cultivate one's Qi so that the body move fluidly and withgreat power. In this first volume Erle teaches the Snake and the Phoenix two person forms. The Snake form is of water and as such flows with great power inand out of every little crevice until it wins the battle. Its strikes are powerful and swift utilizing the power of the whole body coiled ready to strike in a splitsecond. The Phoenix is of the Air and represents the power of the air, swooping and rolling, turning, striking with its powerful wings and wing tips thenescaping to a higher plain.

MTG258The Bagua Animals: The Qi Shaking Forms Volume Two: Phoenix.

This title teaches the very beautiful and deadly Phoenix animal Qi Shaking method from Baguazhang. It works upon the lungs and has some very potent attacking Dim-Makmethods using mainly the backs of the palms (like wings). There are 3 areas that we learn in the Bagua Animal Forms. The Animal Forms themselves: The Qi ShakingMethods, which are sort of like a lesser form of the main forms and lastly, the Animal two person training methods which I will be putting down onto video over the comingmonths.

MTG257Silk Reeling in Taijiquan Yang Lu-ch'an's Form V. 3

This is the third of the Tai Chi lessons in Swansea covering the advanced "Silk Reeling" in Tai Chi Ch'uan (see below). We covered up to "Single Whip (Tan Pien)"  Wealso covered the 3nd of the Fa-jing reeling exercises which really got the Qi flowing! Also covered was a section on Internal Power and a Qigong to gain this.

MTG256The  Hidden Qigong Means of Each Baguazhang Posture: Vol. 1

Each of the major postures from Bagua have a hidden meaning, either for the healing benefits or for gaining of power for the fa-jing and fighting system. And the hiddenmeanings are hidden in the very names of each posture. This information was only ever given out to very advanced students after they became proficient in the fighting sideof the art as when once was proficient in self defence, one could then understand about the healing and Qigong side.By knowing the names of each posture, we are able to find the hidden way to perform each posture as well as to find the hidden healing meaning or Qigong to gain poweretc. For instance, the posture called 'Leaning On the Horse & Ask The Way' works upon the energy system of the body which is stored in the backbone. The 1st Two PalmChanges are covered in this volume.

MTG255Baguazhang Animals: The Qi Shaking Methods. Volume One. (Bear & Monkey)

Many people when they first begin to learn Baguazhang and often because their body is tense and stiff from training in other martial systems, find it difficult to get anythinghappening Qi or energy wise; so we have an excellent training method derived from the "8 Animal Forms" of Bagua, called "Shaking the Qi", a set of 8 relatively simpletraining methods that force the body to learn about Bagua Fa-Jing. Volume one contains the first two of these Qi Shaking methods plus the excellent first two of the Palmtraining methods to gain fa-jing.

MTG254:Fa-Jing: The Way. Volume Two.

Same as the below, second volume.

MTG253:Fa-Jing: The Way. Volume One.Taken at Erle's Scottish Workshop in April 2004. Fa-jing right from scratch, from the all important qigong method for accumulating Qi via the backbone for use during Fa-Jing attacks.Erle takes you through the very basics of fa-jing and how to do it. Covering the various attacking methods of lateral and vertical movement of the wrist. And he also includes theBaguazhang Silk Reeling Fa-jing method to help in the learning of Fa-Jing. Fa-Jing kicking is also included. This is in two volumes,

MTG252Silk Reeling in Tai Chi Ch'uan Volume Two

This is the second of the Tai Chi lessons in Swansea covering the advanced "Silk Reeling" in Tai Chi Ch'uan (see below). We covered up to "arn" as this gives you abalanced set of movements. Often when someone is beginning to get it right, and they only perform half of a balanced set, they will actually feel physically ill! A couple ofour Swansea students found this to be correct. hence my giving the full balanced set at this class. We also covered the 2nd of the Fa-jing reeling exercises which really gotthe Qi flowing!

MTG251Silk Reeling in Tai Chi Ch'uan Volume One.

Ch'an Ssu Chin or "Silk Reeling" is an important part of one's Tai Chi training. In fact it is an integral part of the advanced way of performing Tai Chi. Everything in Tai Chiis done in spirals, in a slow (sometimes explosive) manner, in just the same way that silk has to be pulled from a cocoon so as not to break the thread. Fa-Jing's correct nameis actually "Fa-Jing Ch'an Ssu Chin" or Explosive Energy Silk Reeling, where we throw out explosive energy and then bring it back. So we are given 8 fa-jing trainingmethods in order to gain this ability. These will also be taught on this 8 title series beginning with Volume One showing the first of these training methods. This series is

Moontagu DVD Catalogue 2010: Page 23

taken from Erle Montaigue's first lessons in Swansea in Wales. So if you weren't able to get there or were there and need some back up, this series is ideal. Volume One isnow available and we will be filming one volume per month until the eight are done.

MTG250Children Learn Yang Lu-ch'an's Form Volume 9.

Carrying on with this series where Erle Montaigue is teaching his own children, hence he is very complete and pedantic about what they learn. Every minutemovement is taught with great accuracy as well as the basic martial arts applications of each movement. This volume begins at the first set of kickingmovements and ends with the Brush Knee and Twist Steps after these.

MTG249Tai Chi QigongThis way of performing the Tai Chi form is phenomenal in what it does for you health wise. This is real Qigong at its highest level. (See Article on Tai Chi Qigong). This isthe Tai Chi that will give you longevity and great good health into older age helping to fix such things as Arthritis and other problems of the joints and sinews etc. You willnotice that you have much better mobility and stretch with no 'after-pain' from doing low postures etc. Your mind will improve, with a balanced mind and body moving inco-ordination.Personally, I have found this way of doing Tai Chi to be the most wonderful experience, giving peace of mind and great happiness with a totally positive outlook. So it isexcellent for those with mind problems such as bi-polar etc.

MTG248How To Fight Against A Larger OpponentErle Montaigue utilizes his vast experience in the self defense area covering some 40 years to teach those people who may be not so tall or large boned or not so heavy howto defend themselves against a much larger opponent. Everyone has the same weak points on the body no matter how huge and strong the opponent is. Some excellent tech-niques are shown, as well as some important dim-mak points that work on the weak points of the larger attacker.

MTG247Wudang Short Stick Defense Against a Knife. V 1This 4 part series beginning with MTG247, covers the rare Wudang stick fighting method using a short stick somewhat like the Arnis type of stick. Only one stick is usedand is aimed at an edged weapon such as a knife attack. There are 12 training drills covering every conceivable type of knife attack using the stick to defend against it. Yourpartner also uses a stick as we strike his stick which represents his forearm or wrist. 4 of the twelve drills will be taught on each of the 3 volumes. Possibly the easiest of allweapons to use is the short stick as you can usually get one from somewhere. The drills begin simple and continue with ever increasing complicated and longer drills untilthe twelve are finished. On this volume one, the first four methods are taught.

MTG246:Advanced Knife Volume Three

On this volume Erle teaches the next two advanced knife fighting forms from Chang Yiu-chun. The "Reverse Knife Form" and the "Quickly Moving Knife Form". TheReverse Knife Form teaches excellent foot work gaining timing and coordination which hold one in good stead for the empty handed art as well. The Quickly moving KnifeForm teaches the use of the hands against many attackers, also relying upon excellent footwork. Both of these forms are again excellent for good health as well, workingupon acupuncture meridians and giving the body a general toning workout.

MTG245:The Formal Day to Day training of the Montaigue Children: V. 8

Carries on from Volume 7 below. Including YLC form up to & Including "Separation of left and right feet"

MTG244Taijiquan's 'Waving Form'.

This is the form that is said to be the closest emulation of the internal flow of Qi in the body. It is not a new form but rather a 'way' of performing the forms that you alreadyknow. It is important to see someone doing this form as that is the only way to learn it. You take it into your sub-conscious and slowly over the years it grows until one dayyou are doing Waving Form. This could be called the highest level of H'ao chuan. Erle taught it at his latest workshop in Australia and the way he taught it, everyone wasable to grasp the concepts relatively easily even though it will not grow within them for a couple of years. This form is the highest balancing of Yin and Yang in the body and also teaches us how to fight without thinking about it. It is s truly beautiful form!

MTG243Advanced Knife Fighting Volume Two

On this title, Erle shows and teaches the next two forms in the advanced knife fighting methods, those of "Bending Form" and "Fast Footwork Form". These two forms weretaught at Erle's recent International workshop in Australia and all were in awe of the graceful movement and deadly application that these forms give. They also allow yourbrain to push out a balanced level of 'Fight or Flight' hormones/chemicals into the body so that the correct one will be chosen in any given situation etc. So if it's fight youmust, then you will fight with the greatest amount of energy and aggression etc. Some very interesting techniques are shown within each of these forms.

MTG242Advanced Knife Fighting Techniques Volume One.

On this tape, Erle begins his Advanced Knife Fighting both using the knife against another knife attacker and using empty hands against a knife attacker or a group of them.Chang Yiu-chun was the supreme knife fighter even into his eighties. And it was not until Erle's final months of training that he opened up and told Erle how he got to wherehe was in this field. He used to perform a group of short training methods using the knife. These training methods gave one the necessary tools and sub-conscious reactionthat one needs to defend against a knife attack. These methods are shown on this series as well as the 'WAY' of Internal Knife Fighting as taught by Chang.

MTG241Baguazhang Deer Horn Knife Corrections & Notes

Probably the most deadly and useful short weapons ever invented. With five cutting edges, and four points, you can use this weapon against any long metal or woodenweapon such as broadsword, sword, spear etc. The form is excellent for health as it gives your whole body a great workout along with toning up your Kidney Jing (life-force). Every conceivable strike, block and attack is covered using the multi faceted weapon. It will be produced definitely early in 2003. It is often called "Double MoonKnives" or "Mandarin Duck Knives" or "Elk Horn Knives". The form is performed around the circumference (for the most part) of a circle as for the Bagua circular formand it comes in 8 sections as well. Many of the posture names are the same as in the circular empty hand form, however, this weapon form is very much different and notjust using a weapon with the Bagua form etc.  Every organ in your body is toned up especially the heart and lungs, liver and kidneys. The wrists become particularlypowerful and your flexibility is also improved. NB:// VOL. 1 contains a complete demonstration done at full speed. And YES, Erle Montaigue does this! Unlikeothers who get their younger students to perform.

MTG235Advanced Form Practice: The Rhythm Method.

Have you ever wondered why you were taught certain ways of doing form and then your body tries to tell  you something different? After while, your body begins to tellyour limps etc., to do the movements in a slightly different way. but because your teacher did not tell you or did not know about the advanced methods, you stick with whatyou have been taught at a basic level. The 'Rhythm method' will show you how to perform your form by having total harmony with the rhythm of the form. You mix yourown body rhythm with the natural rhythm of the form. Doing form this way, allowing your hands and arms to move in the way that they want to, you will find that Qi activa-tion points during the form will happen by these new movement's action upon the tantien. Qigong is also included in this tape and how to get the most Qi activation out ofyour Qigong practice. This was filmed at the WTBA's annual workshop, Camp 2002.

MTG234Power Push Hands

The ancient Chinese masters knew about things like hormones and how they work upon the body to cause growth and repair etc. They did not know that hormones existedbut rather that doing certain exercises at certain times and ways, caused the body to react in building the correct muscle groups for the self defence arts. Fa-jing for instanceneeds this type of push hands in order to build strong fa-jing punching.Doing push hands in this way, causes lactic acid to build up as it is Anaerobic. This is important as this causes the human growth hormone to be produced much more duringsleep in order to repair and build upon those muscle groups that we have exercised during our daily Power Push hands training. There are 4 main methods and 4 peripheral methods and all are taught on this tape during Camp 2002.

MTG233Advanced Wudang Spear Form.

For health, you cannot go past either the Wudang Broadsword form or the Wudang Spear form. And if we were allowed to walk around with such weapons, you could not get a more deadly weapon other than a gun. On this tape, Erle teaches not only the Spear form, but also the deadly applications making use ofDim-Mak strikes. Some excellent training methods for the spear are also included. This is indeed the top weapon for health and self defence and it ispossibly the most beautiful form of any martial system.

MTG224Chang Yiu-chun's Broadsword of the Yang Family

Probably the most dangerous weapon ever invented, this form is also one of the greatest healing forms ever invented. It comes in a direct lineage from Yang Shou-hou and isconsidered to be the Original Yang Family Broadsword form of the Old Yang Style. With fa-jing movements, leaps and jumps, this form will balance you internally as wellas balance out the amount of minerals and chemicals in your body. For fitness, there is nothing finer as it works every muscle and sinew in the body over only a five minuteperiod. This is not the broadsword form that most people are used to seeing as it is based upon the Original Yang Lu-ch'an Taijiquan form and not the Yang Cheng-fuversion.

MTG223:This is P'eng/Hinge

On this tape, Erle Montaigue teaches the beautifully simple but deadly method of P'eng/Hinge. This method is inherent everywhere in Taijiquan and Baguazhang and if therewould be an unbeatable fighting method, this should be it. If you can touch him, you can strike him, so why block! Why not block AND attack at the same time. If you canstrike someone, you will also deflect his on-coming attack. Single Hand P'eng Methods, Two Hand P'eng Methods, Single Handed Hinge Methods, double handed HingeMethods are shown plus some excellent training methods using two people to gain this method.

MTG222:Chang Yiu-chun's Deadly Pre-Emptive Attacking Methods, Including Timing Training Methods:

In this tape, Erle Montaigue shows training methods to gain the all important fighting timing and distancing. He uses Chang's 8 Deadly Pre-Emptive attacks plus one of hisown making. These attacking methods are some of the deadliest methods ever invented and are to be used only if it is really serious! Often we will need to attack before weare attacked ("If he attacks, hit him first") either in a one on one situation or in a multiple attacking situation. Erle shows how to pre-empt his attack and get in with deadlyone two three and four attacks before he has even reacted. Erle shows Chang's deadly fists, 'Dog Fist' and 'Reverse Dog Fist' in a pre-emptive attacking method that willdefeat on the first punch let alone on the next 3 or 4 instant attacks.

MTG221:Gaining Fa-jing Using the Ultimate Fa-jing Tool, Single Push Hands.

Most so-called masters of Taijiquan regard single push hands as an entry into double push hands and usually push their students into double push hands long before theyshould even be thinking about it, or worse, by-passing single push hands altogether!

The reason for this relatively modern trend lies in the reason now for doing Taijiquan. This reason is mainly for being good at push hands and not for why the art wasoriginally invented, for self defence physically and internally. Masters and other teachers think that one=s ability in Taijiquan is concomitant with one=s push hands ability! This could not be further form the truth.

If one practices a sophisticated self defence art such as Taijiquan to be good at one of its training methods only, then this is like purchasing a Porsche motor car and leavingit in the garage! Push hands, single or double or Da-Lu is only a passing or continuing phase in our total training and should only ever be looked upon as an excellenttraining method to gain what it is that we are striving for in our Taijiquan training. If one wishes to only be good at push hands, then that is all he or she has to practice! Youwould never have to learn form or fighting methods, only push hands, but that is where you will stay forever, being good at push hands!

When I was first training, single push hands was the most important part of my initial training and I remember spending hours each day in its practice. Even when I was leftalone to learn by myself using my own resources, it was single push hands that I would practice with my then students day in day out. Nowadays, when I am asked how Ilearnt about >fa-jing= (explosive energy strikes), I say that it is the amount of single push hands that I did in my earlier training.

Single Push Hands also heals the mind and body, balancing the Yin and Yang Qi as well as giving tremendous internal power for fighting and healing.

This is a new video covering how to perform small frame single push hands with particular attention to the fa-jing gaining area of this great training method.

MTG220The Formal Day to Day training of the Montaigue Children: V. 2

Carries on from Volume One below. Including YLC form up to "Fishes in 8" plus some push hands and some punching and kicking practice.

MTG219:The Formal Day to Day training of the Montaigue Children:

This is an excellent tape for anyone wishing to teach the Erle Montaigue System in that it shows the day to day way that Erle Montaigue teaches his own children. Everymaster wishes that his children will inherit the Family System. So Erle is teaching his children very pedantically! For instance in this first volume, they only get up to thefirst Double P'eng posture in a one hour tape! However, Erle also covers each major application for each posture as well as how to kick, punch and all other basics. SomeSingle push hands in also included. This is the MEDIUM FRAME form. Erle is able to do this as he has the time and teaches often only half of a move each day! This isnot a replacement for MTG2 as it is so comprehensive and will only be suitable for those wishing to gain this form at its most pedantic level. It is slow but thorough! And itis advisable to only learn what the Children learn each day and not speed on too fast! We imagine that this series will be hefty to say the least as it will take the children rightthrough from basics to very advanced over many years. So only purchase this series if you are really serious about learning and eventually teaching.

MTG218 (The Second Six Hand Weapons from Wudang)

As all of the Internal forms and fighting styles came from the WUDANG SHAN system's 12 Wudang forms, so too do the two person sets from Taijiquan and Baguazhangcome from the 12 Wudang Hand Weapon training sets. Before push hands, there were the 12 Wudang Hand Weapons. There are the precursors to push hands. Not the silly 'you push me, I push you' type of push hands that mostschools now teach and often go into competition with! But rather the excellent p'eng/hinge, fighting push hands methods of today and the Erle Montaigue system. These 12 two person training methods teach you everything you need to know in order to turn your fighting into reflexive actions that will just happen automatically whenattacked. If anyone asks me about what training methods I advise to learn how to fight, I tell them the 12 Wudang methods, along with most of the other stuff, but these arereally special. They teach you fa-jing, how to use it, instant reaction, never stop attacking, how to move the body in a flowing energy saving manner, deadly fightingmethods which attack to the most vulnerable points on the body, how to move in accordance with what the opponent is doing to you. How to do the most damage in the leastpossible time with the least wastage of energy. The hands are used in the way of their name. So the 'Spear' is used to cut and stab etc.

In this 2nd volume, Erle Montaigue covers in his usual great detail, the last six hand weapons of:

COMBINE HAND: This one combines many aspects of the first six methods and teaches us about instant attack and defence in any given situation.DART HAND: This method teaches us about the use of very quick hands in continually striking with different methods. One hand strikes as the other one controlsetc., just like the Chinese weapon called the 'dart'.DRILLING HAND: This method teaches us about one of the most important methods of attack using drilling methods.SHOVEL or SPADE HAND: This one makes use of the flats of the palms for attack and defence as you would if you were using a shovel!DOUBLE BLADE HAND: This one uses the palms as if they were two blades in attack and defence. A very devastating method of self-defence also!STUMP PULLER HAND: This one has a lot of pushing (jerking) and pulling movements which work upon joints to dislocate them along with the moredevastating dim-mak strikes.

MTG217:The Wudang Hand Weapons Volume One (The first six)

As all of the Internal forms and fighting styles came from the WUDANG SHAN system's 12 Wudang forms, so too do the two person sets from Taijiquan and Baguazhangcome from the 12 Wudang Hand Weapon training sets. Before push hands, there were the 12 Wudang Hand Weapons. How to do the most damage in the leastpossible time with the least wastage of energy. The hands are used in the way of their name. So the 'Spear' is used to cut and stab etc.

In this first volume, Erle Montaigue covers in his usual great detail, the first six hand weapons of:Hammer: This two person set makes use of the closed fist using the base of the fist as a hammer. It attacks the CO 10 or 12 points in a devastating 'Point Set Up' strike, ST9 and 10 (neck), GB 3 (Temple) and again ST 9. Then in retaliation of this last strike, your partner then has a go.Spear: This one is deadly and caution must be taken when training as the eyes are involved. The points struck are; CO 10, eyes (scraping the finger nails across them), eyes(same in the opposite direction), CV 22 (by spearing it) and ST 10.Sword: This one is also very dangerous; CO 10 (Set Up), ST 0, ST 10, ST 11, TH 17, Neck in general, GB 3 (Temple) and ST 9 and 10.Plough: This one is wonderful as it trains your reflex actions to perfection; Neigwan (both hands), 4 Neck points, LU 5, CV 22 (Neck in general).Axe: This one attacks to; LU 8 (Both sides), Both sides of the neck chopping, chopping down onto either side of the neck covering many deadly points, back into LIV 13both sides. The Nun: The 'Nun' is a 3 section Chinese implement for thrashing wheat or rice. It has been  modified in its physical weapon form for fighting. This one attacks to mainlythe neck and arms using the arms and hand weapons in the typical Bagua type 'Nun' posture so that the arms look like a 3 section staff.

MTG216:Sudden Violence Applications from Push Hands.

This tape is a way of taking one's advanced push hands training into a realistic physical realm. We firstly take push hands into a completely reflex way of training so that themovements become sub-conscious. Then we use the ten training applications of sudden violence from Push hands to add to this abstract way, a more physical way of usingpush hands in order to join the sub-conscious to the physical. Ten applications from within push hands using the p'eng/hinge method of push hands does this for you. Verydeadly and very useful both for training and for real self-defense.

MTG215:Yang Lu-ch’an Form Corrections Volume Six:

Carries on from Volume Five and takes you through to the end of the form. This is the last in the series of corrections for Yang Lu-ch’an’s form.

MTG214:(Sudden Violence Volume 10) The Amazing Eye Attacks from the Internal Fighting Arts.

You virtually have a loaded gun in your hands when you know these methods. It does not matter how big, or strong or how well he knows martial arts, no-one can defendagainst these deadly finger and palm methods to the eyes. But you have to know how as the eyes have their own self-defense mechanism which comes in automatically. Sowe have to know ways of shutting down this mechanism first!

MTG213Yang Lu-chan Basic form Corrections Volume Five.

Erle carries on with this series from the end of the postures known as "Fair Lady Works Shuttles. Again, going into great detail as to exactly how to perform this pinnacle ofall Taijiquan forms.

MTG212:Sudden Violence Volume 9(The Chang Yiu-Chun Way of Dim-Mak Against Weapons)

This is definitely the last in the series of Sudden Violence. It was Chang's idea that if one could, sort of defend oneself against weapons then the empty hand defenses wouldcome easier. And this is true. Chang taught me five methods against weapons. A short stick and a long stick which are indicative of just about any type of weapon. He woulduse his fingers as stabbing spears and his knife edge palm as well as his elbow in these methods. He said that one strike would stun, the second would knock out while thethird would kill. Although these methods are not traditionally "Sudden Vio0lence" methods, they still use Sudden Violence as the motor so I have included them here in thisseries.

MTG211:Sudden Violence Volume 8.Training Methods for Sudden Violence.

This volume teaches how to train in the 'Way' of Sudden Violence fighting and self-defense. It gives some excellent training methods in order to gain that instant and sub-conscious reaction time using the reptile brain. Possibly the last in the series?

MTG210Yang Lu-ch'an (Old Yang Style) Corrections. Basic Form: Volume 4 .

This volume takes you from the beginning of the 3rd third up to the end of the postures known as "Fair Lady Works Shuttles". This volume also contains some usefulinformation about the one main thing that one has to master in Taijiquan in order to attain the 'Internal' and how to do it when practicing.

MTG209:Yang Lu-ch'an (Old Yang Style) Corrections. Basic Form:Volume . 3

This volume takes you up to the end of the 2nd third.

MTG208Yang Lu-ch'an (Old Yang Style) Corrections. Basic Form:Volume 2.

This volume takes you half way through the 2nd third.

MTG207:Yang Lu-ch'an (Old Yang Style) Corrections. Basic Form:Volume 1.

Erle Montaigue corrects the Yang Lu-ch'an form on camera. Erle takes the students through each of the movements of this old form watching them and then correcting theirmistakes. In this way, each person usually gets the same mistakes so in correcting on camera, you will also find many mistakes and be able to then correct them in greatdetail. This is an excellent way to not only correct your basic form but also the learn it! This volume takes you up to the end of the first third.

MTG206:The Three Energy Systems of the Human Body in the Martial/Healing Arts: How to activate them and how to use them.

In this video, Erle Montaigue talks about the 3 energy systems in the human body. He discusses and shows how to firstly activate them and join them together in order togain exceptional power over very short distances. He also shows a very special qigong method which activates and builds upon that power. The internal power is housed inall of the joints of the body, in particular the "Sub-Tailar Joint". When one knows how to join this internal power with our external power, great power is felt. You can thenuse this power in daily tasks or for instance in sports like shot-put, or for healing or fighting. This tape was shot at Erle's recent WTBA annual workshop.

MTG205:Wudang Form (Qi Disruption) No. 12, Volume Two

MTG204:Wudang Form (Qi Disruption) No. 12, Volume One

Wudang Form (Qi Disruptive Form) No. 12 is the last in the series and is called "Finishing Form" as it completes the set. This form is the epitome of the Chinese way ofintegrating healing into the fighting methods. It is an excellent way to lose weight, to keep a youthful appearance and to keep one's Life-force at a high level. It works uponthe Kidney Jing both physically and internally. This form is both physical and internal in that the movements are not easy to perform with many of the very low movementsnot unlike some of the Shaolin forms. This works upon the Kidneys, Liver and Spleen. In fact, there are 12 main parts to this form with each part working upon a mainmeridian. There are more than 12 movements but all are either one of the 12 main movements or derivations of them. There is quite a potent Qigong method again in thisform which also works directly upon the tantien balancing out effectively the amount of Yin and Yang energy.By the time the masters of old got to working out this form, they were beginning to understand exactly how movement and internal Qi movement worked hand-in-hand sothis form more-so than any others is closer to what we now know to be Taijiquan.

MTG203:Wudang Form (Qi Disruption) No. 11. Volume 2.

2nd part of this Wudang Form No. 11.

Moontagu DVD Catalogue 2010: Page 28

MTG202:Wudang Form (Qi Disruption) No. 11. Volume 1.

Called the ‘Prenatal’ form, this one is very powerful working upon the prenatal Qi. Before we are born, our three ‘parts’, ‘spirit’, ‘mind’ and ‘body’ are as one. Once we areborn, (postnatal) over time, we begin to see those three separate into their respective keeping places in the body. So they because separated as we become more human. ThisNo. 11 form rejoins those three areas as much as possible given that we are human beings. So a much more balanced life and mind follow the use of this form. Prenatal andTortoise breathing methods are used during this form/Qigong.

Some of the health benefits are: Weight loss, helping to fix impotence in men and low libido in both sexes as it works upon the life force and Kidney Qi. It also helps withdiabetes as this condition is also related to Kidney Qi.

This form contains some very powerful Qigong methods as well as some very physical movements that work upon the hip area thus, as the Chinese say, gives a youthfulappearance. This is also gained when one enhances Kidney Qi.

MTG 200Qi Disruption Form/Kata: Wudang Form No. 10: Volume Two:

This volume finishes the No. 10 form and begins with the very potent Yin Qigong method. This form contains two very powerful Qigong methods as well as some very violent and deadly fighting methods. The Qigongs are in two parts, a yin and a yang part. Theywill show you how to gather the Qi and then use it in everyday life or in the fighting area or healing area.

MTG 199:Qi Disruption Form/Kata No. 10 VOLUME No. one

(This form will be in two volumes due to its complicated way and the need to teach it in great detail slowly). The ‘Still’ Form or ‘Form of Stillness’This is the10th in the series of Qi Disruption or ‘WUDANG SHAN’ system tapes. It is called ‘Still’ because this is the first form that deals totally with Qi development anduse. In this form we see the beginning of Taijiquan as we now have a few explosive movements (fa-jing) as well as a slowing down of the form postures. Thisis because we are trying to concentrate a large amount of Qi down into a fine line for use either in healing or in the fighting arts. If for instance you take a 12inch pipe through which a volume of water is flowing, you might be able to stand in front of it and take a shower. However, if you were to then force that flowat the same rate to flow through a ½ inch pipe, it would cut you in two! Or like when we go out in to the light of day, it is pleasant but when that very samelight is concentrated down into a laser light is can cut you and drill holes in you and other things.

MTG198:Secrets of Yang Lu-ch'an Form (Volume One)Advanced Old Yang Style of Yang Lu-ch’an (The Scapular)

In this tape done at Erle Montaigue’s workshop in October in the UK, he teaches the use of the scapular and how it moves in accordance with yin and yang thus creatinggreat power in striking. The scapular are part of our power system and also another way of helping to gain the illusive ‘Sung’ in Taijiquan. This peculiar scapular movementis only taught in the Yang Lu-ch’an form.

 MTG197Fa-jing & P'eng/Hinge Training

In this tape, Erle takes you through one of the very best training methods for developing fighting skills. This method is also used as one of the better self defence systems initself! Erle shows using this method that you are able to defend against all types of attack using only this method. Combine it with the devastating power of 'Fa-jing' and youhave a most helpful training tape. erle, goes deeper into how to gain Fa-jing in your punches and other attacks.

MTG 196Yang Cheng-fu Form Corrections Volume Three.

Carries on with the corrections of this great form from Volume Two MTG189. This is the last in the series.

MTG195SUDDEN VIOLENCE VOLUME 7

Definitely the last one in the series. This volume deals with hands and feet working together. A little more complicated than previous volumes, however, these methods arejust a deadly and useful. Also covered is the very basic 'motor' of Sudden Violence", The Old way of Attack Push Hands, without which it is very difficult to learn SuddenViolence methods.

 MTG194Bagua Training Methods Volume One:

This is the first of the Bagua specific training methods tapes. On this tape, Erle Montaigue shows some of the very best training methods from this great fighting systemincluding the little known 'Bagua disperse hands' training method. MTG193Sudden Violence Volume Six

This is the final (maybe) in this series and is the culmination of all that you have learnt in the first five volumes. Erle covers multiple attack situations using Sudden Violenceas well as initial attack situations. An interesting section in also included dealing with the 'Dim-Mak Claw" in sudden violence situations.

MTG192:Developing Your Internal energy in Yang Lu-ch'an's Form

On this tape Erle Montaigue teaches about the 6 balanced pairs of body parts that must be balanced yin and yang in order to gain the most from your Taijiquan training. Infact without these pairs balanced and corresponding to their internal organ pairs and meridians then you might as well go home as far as Taijiquan is concerned. gaining the'Internal' is the most important area of one's Taijiquan training and this is the starting point.

Moontagu DVD Catalogue 2010: Page 29

 MTG191Sudden Violence Volume Five

On this tape, Erle Montaigue takes you through some of the sudden violence methods used against attackers who will rush at you, like for instance a footballplayer who is used to doing this. The basic principles are always adhered to, however, special emphasis must be placed upon evasion and surprise so thatthe attacker's 'switches' are confused. Erle shows the high type of attack as well as when someone goes low as in a rugby type of tackle.

MTG190

Developing the Internal EnergyI discovered that many of my students, although they had the physical movements correct, they just weren’t getting the internal development. So I took a look at what theywere dong and developed a way of teaching how using what they already knew, form and push hands. Now, most them at least have a better understanding of how to gain itand how to use it. (The Internal Qi)

MTG189

Yang Cheng-fu Form Corrections Volume TwoOn this volume you are taken up to the end of the second third of the Yang style Taijiquan of Yang Cheng-fu. This is done in a class situation where students are correctedon camera as most people tend to get the same mistakes.1 Hour & 5 minutes

You would not believe some of the knife defenses so-calledmasters, of knife defense teach people, methods that would get their students killed!Duration: 1 Hour & 6 Minutes

MTG186:Qi Development Tools Volume One:

In this series, Erle Montaigue shows some of the best methods for developing the Qi using stand-alone Qigong methods as well as methods taken from the Taijiquan formsand used as stand-alone methods. This series is essential to one's Taijiquan training and internal martial/healing arts training in general. All of these methods have been triedand tested and only the very best are taught. The whole series is like a tool box of interesting and very helpful tools for the development and maintenance of your own Qilevel, flow and general health and wellbeing as well as enhancing your own martial art and internal power. This tape also comes to you from Australia and Oslo Norwayfrom Erle's March 1999 workshop tour.Duration: 1 Hour and 6 minutes.

MTG185Sudden Violence, Volume Two: The Erle Montaigue System

On this volume, Erle continues the sudden violence series showing the most dangerous fighting and self-defense methods ever invented. ON this volume Erle takes youthrough more of the centrifugal methods and begins with the next phase that of beginning with the more linear methods showing choke holds and neck breakers along withthe fa-jing attacking methods. This tape comes to you from Oslo in Norway, Manchester in the UK and Wales in the UK as does the beginning of Volume three, where Erlewas holding a European workshop tour.Duration: One hour and Six  Minutes.

MTG184Sudden Violence, Volume One:The Erle Montaigue System

On this series, Erle Montaigue presents his "Sudden Violence" method of fighting. This series presents the raw, deadly and extremely violent fightingmethods necessary for any realistic confrontation. If you do not have 'Animal Violence" then you will lose. "Animal Violence" is not being 'angry' as anger willonly cause you to be defeated. Violence in fighting is a sub-conscious reaction to a survival situation where we are able to go into the Reptile Brain part ofour brain sub-consciously in order to survive in just the same way that any animal does. On the other side of the coin, "Sudden Violence" also teaches ushow to heal as all of the prerequisites necessary for self-defense using "Sudden Violence" are also necessary for the two area of healing; healing others andhealing ourselves. Here, Erle presents the pure mechanics of violent fighting showing very dangerous and violent fighting methods, never giving a sucker aneven break! If you can hit him once, then hit him ten times! In two sections, Erle presents firstly on this tape some of the 'centrifugal' Sudden Violencemethods. These will continue in to volume two and then he will present the 'Straight Line' methods. Although the straight line methods are also circular, theycontain very small circular movements and so are not as easy to learn as the purely centrifugal methods. Obviously, you cannot learn the Erle Montaiguesystem of 'Sudden Violence' without having some knowledge of Dim-Mak, so Erle also explains exactly what points you are striking and the correct directionsand pressure (usually full on!). Anyone can learn the extremely street oriented method of 'Sudden Violence", however, those who have some knowledge ofthe Internal Principles of 'Sung', 'Fa-Jing' and 'Continuous Flowing Movement' will learn quicker. In many cases these methods have changed the stiffertypes of martial art to a more flowing system which is what we need in the street if we are to survive. As usual, This series is filmed while Erle is in fullteaching mode so that every tiny area will be covered by seeing what the students are doing wrong and correcting them on camera.

Fighting Methods Vol. 2 (MTG 173)On this tape, Erle carries on with the fighting methods series. Here he includes many deadly BAGUAzhang fighting methods as well as some Taijiquan methods. These arenot only fighting methods however, they are considered to be the "mother methods" from whence all other techniques come. Internal Gung-fu Vol. 6 (MTG172)This is P'eng/Hinge

(Duration: 1 hour & 10 minutes)

Erle Montaigue Does It   Vol. 1 (MTG168)This tape is simply Erle Montaigue doing his early morning training at his own level. This is important as it gives an idea as to the future of your own training. You have inyour mind's eye what the form looks like at such an advanced stage of 'Small Frame Form". Two 'Post Exercises',  one from BAGUAzhang called 'Cross Stepping post' and the other from Taiji called 'Stepping Over The Gate'. These two exercises give everythinkable internal body movement for self defense without having to think too hard. Probably one of the most valuable training aids ever. We have sold many of this titleand everyone who purchases it tells us that they have gained a huge amount of knowledge and training from the two post exercises. MTG51COMBAT PUSH HANDS Vol. one.

Not your normal push hands but how to use this training method to gain self defense. Not actually using the movements from push hands but a completely different way ofdoing it to gain self defense. Gaining self-defense from push hands is an abstract thing. We use push hands as a kind of abstract way of fighting. All of the fighting methodsare there, all of the movement is there, but no actual fighting! The 'fighting' is done abstractly which is the best way for the sub-conscious mind to learn about fighting, because your fighting method then becomes completely reflex. And push hands at an advanced level such as shown on this tape is one of the only methods to turn yourfighting art into reflex actions. DURATION APPROX: 1hr. 40 mins.

BAGUA has thefastest stepping methods of any martial art and although the hands move independently to the feet, they both work in complete harmony automatically to defeat an attackerusing his own energy against him. DURATION: 1Hr. & 10 Minutes

MTG/38BAGUAzhang Essentials Vol. 1: The Classics

Here, Erle Montaigue takes you right from the beginning in such detail that has never been presented before on video or in books. Like his Taiji Intricacies series, Erlecovers the most minute details in this series. In this volume, Erle demonstrates the Classics of Sun Luc-tang and Chiang Jung-chiao, two of the main contributors to BAGUAand considered to be the best masters of all.The 'Classics' are the writings left to us from the Masters of old, the genius who invented this system. Reading the written word takes a bit of working out as they have beentranslated from Chinese to English and often in rhyming couplets. So you have to be taught the classics by someone who is experienced in BAGUAzhang in order to showthe classics and this involves a person who has been practicing the art for many years and whose teachers are of the highest quality. The teacher must have taken the'Classics' internally so that he or she is able to show what they mean physically as this is the only way to learn the classics. Hidden within the classics is all that there is toknow about BAGUAzhang apart from the physical learning of the forms and fighting methods. Duration: 1Hour & 30 Minutes

It can be used by any Taijistylist to learn about the avanced methods of form practice. Also on this video are the taiji applications of the postures in DIM-MAK. Evey movement in taijiquan means something where dim-mak is concerned. Every tiny movementis either a full dim-mak strike or inculded in a combination of strikes.  As well, the twelve secret circular palm techniques are included. These are probably the most deadlyhand techniques of any martial art. These were taught on Wudang Mountain as a precursor to the very secret "Qi Disruptive Forms" of which there are 12. MTG20Advanced Push Hands Volume One.

This is the advanced version of Video No.5 and deals with the very rare push hands techniques of "Peng/Hinge", "Square", and "Small Circle Ch'i-na" Pushing Hands. Thisis where we learn about T'ai Chi and the push hands for fighting and not just to gain  timing balance and coordination. Many more techniques are also covered for the morenormal "p'eng, lu, chi, arn" pushing hands. This is where you get serious about learning Taijiquan! This is where you leave behind your basic training and especially yourbasic pushing hands which essentially is flawed because it is for beginners. It is impossible to teach beginners advanced methods, so in teaching beginners the way of pushhands has to be modified so that the stark beginner can understand what to do. Sadly, most people only ever see this basic level or "I push you, you push me"! However, there ARE no pushes in Taijiquan as it is a most devastating martial art and it would bring disaster to push someone in a real fighting situation! So when you get to theadvanced method, you begin to learn Taijiquan as a real streetwise self-defense art and not a silly pushing sport! Push hands at its more advanced levels is the very besttraining method to teach self-defense.

This is one of the more beautiful martial arts, andalso the most deadly. It has an amazing healing affect as well. Most of the old. BAGUA Masters all lived to grand old ages and in good health. Again, if you are not reallythat well of fit, do not begin with this martial art as it requires much twisting and turning of the waist. This is the basic tape. The 'Linear' form is the longest form or kata of

any martial art. If you can get through the circular and the linear form every morning then your healthwill greatly improve as will your fitness. This system will give you a more natural way of moving inyour own martial art, giving more power for less energy used. Strike with devastating palm strikes fromonly a few inches away and still have knock out power. Baguazhang is a Dim-Mak art in that it onlystrikes to vital points on the human body to cause either great pain or death. It is also used however, as agreat healing art either for self-healing or the healing of others. The main form is performed around thecircumference of a circle, the premise being that your attacker in the centre of this circle. You arecontinually moving your centre around the attacker and eventually your centre is locked onto his so thatwhatever he does, you will react instantly without thinking because his Qi causes you to react in exactlythe correct manner.BAGUA is often called the "Art of Overkill" Which is the title of my new complete book on thisamazing martial system. BAGUA gets the job done using the most deadly strikes. There are two waysthat BAGUA works: The smaller person's way and the larger person's way. The larger person will usemore straight line attacks because he can! The palms become extremely powerful and 'heavy' when theQi accumulates in them from this type of practice. This Qi can then be used either to damage or healdepending upon what is in your mind at the time. DURATION: 2 hours.
