Items that can be collected• Bikes

• Broken toys

• Carpet

• Electrical items – TV’s (max 3 per service), computers and computing equipment, toasters, etc.

• Furniture – book cases, couches, tallboys, etc.

• Mattresses (max 3 per service)

• Roofing or fencing iron

• Whitegoods – fridges, freezers, washing machines, etc. (doors must be removed for safety)

Items that will not be collected• Ammunition

• Asbestos

• Bricks

• Car bodies

• Concrete

• Dirt

• Explosive material

• Garden waste

• Gas bottles

• Liquids

• Large scrap steel

• Solar panels

• Tyres

• Recyclables that can go in the yellow lid bin

• Rocks

• Tiles

How does it work?Items must be placed out the night before collection and be able to be safely lifted by 2 people. Items must be on the nature strip in a safe manner, clear of walkways, and not on the road or footpath.

The maximum items that will be collected per service are 2, 6x4 trailer loads or 2 cubic metres.

Items must not exceed 2 metres in length and 1 metre wide (mattresses exempt).

IntroductionThe City of Port Adelaide Enfield provides a free residential hard refuse collection service to assist residents to dispose of waste items too heavy or large for the blue lid bin.

Residential properties can access up to 4 collections per calendar year.

Bookings must be made in advance and wait times do apply as the service is free.
