Hard refuse bookings are essentialThere are 2 ways to book.

1. Online Complete the Hard Waste Booking formonline at www.cityofpae.sa.gov.au/waste

2. Phone Call the Waste Line (free call) on1800 777 844 during office hours.

What happens to the material you put out for collection?Hard waste is recycled where possible. Where it is not possible the materials are sent to landfill.

Electrical items are collected in a dedicated ute and trailer, and taken to a facility for recycling.

Illegal dumping is an offencePlacing hard refuse kerbside without a booking is a littering offence.

A maximum on-the-spot expiation of $1000 can apply.

Please never place hard refuse items kerbside without a booking.

A date will be supplied for collection of the hard refuse. Please write down the date and booking number and remember to set yourself a reminder.

• Roofing or fencing iron

• Whitegoods – fridges, freezers, washing machines, etc. (doors must be removed for safety)

• Car bodies

How does it work?Items must be placed out the night before collection and be able to be safely lifted by 2 people. Items must be on the nature strip in a safe manner, clear of walkways, and not on the road or footpath.

The maximum items that will be collected per service are 2, 6x4 trailer loads or 2 cubic metres.

Items must not exceed 2 metres in length and 1 metre wide (mattresses exempt).

IntroductionThe City of Port Adelaide Enfield provides a free residential hard refuse collection service to assist residents to dispose of waste items too heavy or large for the blue lid bin.

Residential properties can access up to 4 collections per calendar year.

Bookings must be made in advance and wait times do apply as the service is free.
