    THE COURAGE THAT MY MOTHER HAD

    The courage that my mother had Went with her, and is with her still: Rock from New England quarried;

    Now granite in a granite hill.

    The golden brooch my mother wore She left behind for me to wear;

    I have no thing I treasure more: Yet, it is something I could spare.

    Oh, if instead shed left me The thing she took into the grave!

    That courage like a rock, which she Has no more need of, and I have.

    After the first reading the teacher groups thestudents into ten with five members each.

    Each group must have a leader and they haveto get a strip of paper were they will know if in what category they belong. Either infigurative or literal group.

    They have to brainstorm their task and afterwhich they will going to perform it to theclass.

    the group must give the figurative and literal

    meaning of the poem. Depending on whatgroup they belong.

    The grouping system are divided into twocategories: literal and figurative groupThe literal group have five groups same asthe figurative groups.Teacher provide a priority numbers for theirtask.They have to study it within 15 minutes then

    they will discuss it to the class.
