This fully featured ICU ventilator is the firstventilator able to be used at a magnetic fieldstrength of up to 50 mT. Meet the HAMILTON-MR1

For intrahospital transportThe small and compact design of the HAMILTON-MR1 makes it easy to handle and ideal for clinicaltransport. The trolley’s auto-lock brake locks the wheels as soon as you release the handle to prevent itfrom rolling accidentally towards the MRI scanner. Hooks on each side of the trolley enable convenientstorage of the breathing circuit and oxygen hose. The optional kit with quick-lock function and speciallydesigned handle allows you to remove the device at the press of a button and attach it directly to the bed.

In close cooperation with users and ventilationexperts, our engineers have designed a userinterface that is particularly intuitive. Switchingbetween the HAMILTON-MR1 and all otherHamilton Medical ventilators is easy because theyare all operated according to the same principles.

The Ventilation Cockpit on the HAMILTON-MR1consolidates the monitoring data and displays it asintuitive graphics. These provide a quick overviewof the patient’s current ventilation status andprovide a reliable basis for therapy decisions.

You can take your patients from the ICU down tothe MRI suite and not have to change a thingabout the ventilation, even when they are on anadvanced mode. That is a true advantage becauseyou are not risking lung derecruitment and apatient setback, which would keep him in thehospital longer and make it more uncomfortablefor him.

1 Main monitoring parametersAll of the main monitoring parameters at aglance. The large characters allow you to seethem even from a distance.

2 Dynamic Lung One quick look shows you tidal volume, lungcompliance, patient triggering, and resistance inreal-time. The lungs expand and contract insynchrony with the actual breaths.

3 Vent StatusThe Vent Status panel displays six parametersrelated to the patient’s dependence on theventilator. When all values are in the weaningzone, the panel is framed in green, indicating thatspontaneous breathing trials or extubation can beconsidered.

4 Direct access to main controlsAccess and adjust the most important controls forthe current mode directly on the main display.

MR-Conditional technologyenables the HAMILTON-MR1 mechanical ventilator to accompany your patientfrom the ICU to the scanner, for the duration of the test, then back to the ICUagain, increasing the safety of care. The HAMILTON-MR1 is specially designedand shielded to ventilate your patient in the vicinity of an MRI scanner, andcan be used at a magnetic field strength of 50 mT without creating any MRimage artifacts.

The integrated TeslaSpy gaussmeter for more safetycontinuously monitors the magnetic field and gives you an audible and visualsignal if you are getting too close. Positioning a medical device too close tothe MRI scanner can have fatal consequences. For maximum safety, TeslaSpycontinues monitoring even when the ventilator is switched off.

Gas source switchenables the ventilator to switch automatically between oxygen supplies. Assoon as the central supply is connected, oxygen is drawn from this sourceinstead of the cylinder. The immediate changeover ensures continuousventilation. The gas source switch only changes from the central supply to theoxygen cylinder when the pressure at the central supply drops below a presetminimum pressure level.
