Interesting Story Zeus shot one of his arrows into Hades, causing him to fall in love with the

first person he saw. The reason it did that was because his arrows were dipped in a love potion. The first person that Hades happened to see was Persephone. Hades being in love with Persephone made him want to be with her, and have her all to himself. One day when Persephone was picking flowers, Hades opened up the very earth and abducted her. Everything would have gone fine, although, when Persephone’s mother found out, she was very unhappy. Once her mother, Dementer, realized her daughter was missing, she set out an intensive search to find her.

Interesting Story When Hades abducted Persephone, her mother found out, and was not a

happy person. When she had realized that her daughter was missing she began an intense search. Dementer, Persephone’s mother, controlled the seasons, the harvest, and the plants. She decided to refuse to let the crops grow. When Persephone was finally found she was only allowed to come home if she had not eaten anything. Some say she had eaten six pomegranate seeds and was tricked; others say that she fell in love with Hades and chose to eat the seeds herself. She had to return for six months every year and during the time that she returned Dementer would give bad weather to the world.
