The habit of listening first and talking second, helps us to see things from other's point of view before sharing our own.
As a result, a whole new world of understanding will be opened for us.

Communication is the most important skill in life. You spend years learning how to read and write, and years learning how to speak.

Ignoring - not really listening Pretending - humming along while not
really following Selective listening - hearing what
you want to hear Attentive listening - paying attention
to words Empathic listening - listening with
the intend to understand the other person

Also called reflective listening
Way of listening and responding to another person that improves mutual understanding and trust
Empathic listening is about the speaker not the listener

This habit takes patience, understanding and requires consideration in the part of the listener
