BRITISH PEOPLE CELEBRATE PANCAKE DAY ON THE TUESDAY BEFORE ASH WEDNESDAY (IN FEBRUARY OR IN MARCH, SIX WEEKS BEFORE EASTER). THEY COOK AND EAT PANCAKES AND THERE ARE PANCAKE RACES IN EVERY TOWN.IN OTHER COUNTRIES, LIKE IN SPAIN, PEOPLE CELEBRATE CARNIVAL AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. THERE ARE PARADES THROUGH THE STREETS AND PEOPLE WEAR MASKS AND FANCY DRESSES. PEOPLE SING SPECIAL SONGS CALLED “MURGAS”.
To prepare and eat a pancake you need:a bowl, a fork, a
spoon, a knife, a frying
pan, a glass, a plate,
a jug, milk,
flour, salt, eggs, lemon,
sugar and butter.
FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
1st: Mix some flour, salt and an egg in a bowl. 2nd: Stir the mixture and add a glass of milk. 3nd: Put some mixture in a frying pan and
cook one side of the pancake. 4th: Toll the pancake and cook the other side. 5th: Put some sugar and lemon on the
pancake and eat it.
