Holy Rosary Par ishioners! As all of you are aware, our upcoming election is promising
to be perhaps the most contentious period in modernAmerican history. The stakes are high for the Church. We havealready witnessed the ease at which secular leaders have closed
churches and curtailed Christian religious gatherings. With this in mind, let all parishioners participate
in a pre-election Holy Sacr ifice of the Mass in supportof this spiritual battle. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be
celebrated at 6 am with an additional end of the work dayMass at 5:30 pm. It is the intent to start the Election Day in
prayer and petition as members of the Church fulfilling ourduties as spir itual warr iors of the Church Militant.
Adoration will take place in the Church directly after Mass- 7 amto 8 pm in order to maximize the space available for all who wish
to spend time with Our Lord in prayer & petition for the outcome of the election. "Could you not watch one hour
with me?" MK 14:34

TWENTY-EIGHTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME (19TH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST) OCTOBER 11, 2020
From Deacon Riley Collection Totals- October 3rd & 4th
OF Masses $6,163.00 EF Masses: $3,183.00Total for the weekend collection: $9,346.00
Greetings one and all!
My brothers and sisters, over the last few months, since I have been under quarantine, I have been spending a lot of time in prayer. As the months went by, I employed many different forms of prayer while praying for you, family and friends. Our Lord has given us so many words of encouragement to help us carry on in these troubled times, so I would like you to try this!
Read the following text (you have heard these before, but listen anew) and then spend thirty minutes in quiet comfortable ref lection. I promise you will feel much better and you will have a great day!
?In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was a formless wasteland, and darkness covered the face of the earth, while a mighty wind swept over the waters. Then God said, ?Let there be light, and there was light?. God saw how good the light was? God created man in His image, in the divine image He created him; male and female he created them (Gen. 1).
For God so loved the world He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. (John 3:16).
The Lord God will wipe away the tears from every face; the reproach of His people he will remove from the whole earth; for the Lord has spoken? This is the Lord for whom we looked; let us rejoice and be glad that He has saved us!(Isaiah 25:6-10a).?
There is an old Christian tradition that God sends each person into this world with a special message to deliver, with a special song to sing for others, with a special act of love to bestow. No one else can speak my message, or sing my song, or offer my act of love. These have been entrusted only to me.
According to this tradition, this message may be spoken, the song sung, the act of love delivered only to a few, or to all the people in a small town, or to all the people in a large city, or even to all the people in the whole world. It all depends on God?s unique plan for each unique person.
So from my heart I want to say this to you: Please believe that you have an important message to deliver, you have a beautiful song to sing, and a unique act of love to warm this world and to brighten its darkness.
And when the final history of this world is written, your message, your song, and your love will be recorded gratefully and forever.
Have a beautiful week!

Confraternity of the Most Holy RosaryPope Leo XIII was a great enthusiast for the Rosary Confraternity. He pointed out that it multiplies the value of the Rosary because
it involves praying the Rosary in a way which is: public; communal;constant; and unanimous. "They were the army of prayer,
conscripted by St. Dominic, marching under the banner of theMother of God, united as comrades, the enemies of evil both
within and without" Pope Leo XIII.As we begin the month of October, the month of the rosary,
Holy Rosary has received special permission from the Dominicanorder to enroll individuals into the Confraternity of the Most
Holy Rosary. As the most indulgenced confraternity in the church, the confraternity offers a f lood of graces, and the special protection
of the Blessed Virgin which are supplied for your life now and after your death, if you should go to purgatory. The
Confraternity of the Holy Rosary has very few obligations twoof which include praying 15 mysteries a week but they can be
said for your own intentions and to be officially enrolled which can be done right here at Holy Rosary. There are no
meetings or dues. For more information please email [email protected]
Music Guild ScholarshipsThe Holy Rosary Sacred Music Guild is offering
scholarships of up to $350 for piano and organ students.Applications are available in the back of the church.
The deadline is October 15, 2020.
