Minutes of Meeting

A review meeting of the working of Weights & Measures Department was heldif

the chamber of Secretary(W&M)/Commissioner(F&S) on 12.12.2013 at 4:00 P.M. whi¢hwas attended by following officers:-

During the meeting following discussions were held:-

(a). Secretary(W&M) has pointed towards the news item regarding higher rates being

charged by the dealers/repairers for re-callibration of auto fare meters and non-

issuance of receipt as published in newspaper Dainik Jagran on 12.12.2013. It was

desired by the Secretary(W&M) that the matter may be looked into and necessary

action to curb such practices be initiated immediately.

(b). Secretary(W&M) sought the functioning of the Taxi Meter Unit which was explained

by the Asst. Controller and Zonal Officer concerned. It was directed by

Secretary(W&M) to identify Gaon Sabha land for Rtlod Try purpose for auto/taxi

fare meters in South, South-West, West and North-West zones for which Zonal

Officers of the concerned zones were directed to do the needful.

(c). Secretary(W&M) sought the status of material available on the department's.website

and desired that a study be conducted for bringing the most of the ..services, ,.1

provided by the department online. Secretary(W&M) has also desired the e-SLA

status of the services provided by the department under e-SLA in the next review

meeting.

(d). Secretary(W&M) desired as to whether the dispensing units installed at various

Mother Dairy Booths are verified and stamped by this department to which Asst.

Controller intimated that at present the stamping of such units is not done by:~hedepartment. He has, however, intimated that a reference in this reqard wa~ni;ade .

(e). Secretary(W&M) has souqht the data regarding weighing machines verified,

weighbridges verified, dispensing units verified and stamped at petrol pumps !et6J\~the next review meeting.

(f). Secretary(W&M) has desired that a fresh drive to check the domestic LPG cylinders

be initiated in order to have a check on the corrupt practice of delivery of short

weight cylinders to household.
