Image Processing
Objective:
The project entitled Image Processing gives information about the various
operations that can be performed on images. We can store images into our own directory
and display them and we can modify these images.
Existing System
The existing system is semi-automated system. This system gives us very less
security for saving data; some data may be lost due to mismanagement. Its a limited
system and less-user friendly. Searching of particular information is very critical it takes
lot of time. The users cannot able to restrict the file sharing options. The users only know
his information only not others. It is very critical to share public information to all users.
Proposed System:
The development of this new system tries to automate the entire process keeping
in the view the database integration approach. User Friendliness is provided in the
application. The system makes the overall project management much easier and flexible.
It can be accessed over the Intranet. Various classes have been used for file uploading
and down loading. The user information files can be stored in centralized database. This
can provide good security for users data. Authentication is provided for this application as
only registered users can access.
Modules:
The system is proposed to have the following modules:
Save/Store Images, Display Images and Image Operations
Save/Store Images:
In Save/Store Images we can store the images in our own directory. That means we
can take the image from floppy drive or CD drive and store that image into our own
directory.
Display Images:
In Display Images we can give the date and display all the images saved on that
date. And suppose if we want to show the images by clicking the name we get the image.

Image Operations:
In Image Operations we can perform various operations on the images. In this we
have five sub modules: Pixel Operations, Image Conversion, RGB Operations, Grayscale
Conversion, RGB Combinations. We can perform segmentation by increasing and/or
decreasing pixel size using Pixel Operations. We find the damage existing in images
using Find Damage. We can convert one type of image into another type (i.e. to
convert .gif to .jpeg etc.) which can be done under Image Conversion module. We can
add shades to images using RGB Operations. We can convert a colored image to a black
and white image using Grayscale Conversion and at last we can choose a color
combination using Red, Green and blue through RGB Combinations. Software:
