Dear Friends,

The mission and vision of The Christina Grillo Sullivan Foundation, a 501c3 public charity, is to assist children and adults with and without intellectual and physical challenges by providing inclusion in sports and everyday life.

The Foundation provides opportunities for people with and without disabilities to participate in sports fitness programs that impact the athlete's physical, social, and emotional well-being, while fostering inclusion through sports. This Adaptive & Unified Sports program utilizes trained volunteers who assist athletes one-on-one, encouraging them, while instilling self-confidence, relieving stress, and strengthening social bonds through practice and competition. This ultimately brings together both community and family through social activity.

The Foundation's Mission is committed to assisting children and adults, with intellectual or physical challenges and their families with special needs. It has established “The Butterfly Effect Fund,” which represents how a single occurrence, no matter how small, can make a difference in someone’s life. This honors Christina’s extraordinary life, teaching the importance of caring for one another.

The Foundation’s next goal is to build a Unified Sports Center that will allow participation inexercise, fitness and sports programs. The Unified Sports Center along with research in healthpromotion and rehabilitation sciences, will expand on our current mission. We are looking for your support to reach this goal.

The Unified Sports Center will become a vital part of the fabric of the community, offeringopportunities for all athletes to participate in sports without limitations or barriers. The Foundation has witnessed that when given the same opportunities and experiences as those without challenges, people with intellectual and physical challenges accomplish more than anyone ever imagined. Under one Unified Sports Center, everyone will benefit to "Learn, Work, Play, & Live Unified."

We know that it takes a community to embark on such a venture. With your support, we can complete phase one, which includes finalizing engineering and architectural design of the Unified Sports Center project. The following pages provide more details on the Foundations “ProjectAngel” and the overall benefit to a global community of all Sports, Adaptive & Paralympic that the Unified Sports Center will provide.

I am honored as Executive Director for your consideration, and thank you in advance for your support of"Project Angel."

Josephine Sullivan Executive Director.

Tennis Levels: USTA Leagues, collegiate, high school, junior high, and youth. Adaptive tennis and standing tennis amputee is very similar to pedestrian tennis. The size of the court, net height, and rackets are the same, but there are two major differences from able-bodies tennis: athletes use specially designed wheelchairs, and the ball may bounce up to two times, where the second bounce may also occur outside the court.

BasketballTeam sport at all levels, collegiate, high school, junior high. It retains most major rules and scoring of basketball, and maintains a 10-foot basketball hoop and standard basketball court. The exceptions are rules which have been modified with consideration for the wheelchair. For example, "travelling" in wheelchair basketball occurs when the athlete touches their wheels more than twice after receiving or dribbling the ball. The individual must pass, bounce, or shoot the ball before touching the wheels again.

Power SoccerWheelchair soccer, also known as Power Soccer, is a variant of association football for people with physical disabilities. Players use power wheelchairs in order to maneuver and kick an oversize football. The game is payed in a gymnasium on a regulation basketball court.

Wheelchair Rugby Wheelchair rugby is a mixed team sport for male and female quadriplegic athletes. It combines elements of rugby, basketball and handball. Players compete in teams of four to carry the ball across the opposing team's goal line. Contact between wheelchairs is permitted, and is in fact an integral part of the sport as players use their chairs to block and hold opponents.

eSports eSports (also known as electronic sports, e-sports, or eSports) is a form of competition using video games. Most games. Most commonly, eSports takes the form of organized, multiplayer video game competitions, particularly between professional players, individually or as teams. Microsoft developed an adaptive controller for athletes with disabilities leveling the playing field.

Goal Ball Goal Ball is played exclusively by athletes who are blind or visually impaired. Participants compete in teams of three, and try to throw a ball that has bells embedded in it into the opponents’ goal. The ball is thrown by hand and never kicked.

Bocce Bocce can be played indoors or outdoors on a hard, flat surface in either individual or team play, socially or competitively, up to the Paralympic level. It can be played indoors or outdoors on a hard, flat surface in either individual or team play. With assisted devices, anyone can play Bocce.

Volleyball Club Volleyball, collegiate, high school, junior high also sitting volleyball is governed by the same set of rules as the able-bodied game with a few differences. In sitting volleyball, the net is shorter, players are allowed to block serves, but one "cheek" must be in contact with the floor whenever they contact the ball.

Badminton Badminton has featured in the world championships since 1990 in Amersfoort. However, the sport is yet to make its Paralympic debut Tokyo 2020. The sport is open for both male and female athletes, in a range of different impairment classifications. Thanks to these classes, athletes with various disabilities such as lower/upper limb impairments can compete.

Rock Climbing Wall You are no longer limited by geographic location to provide a natural rock-climbing experience. The rock wall will provide a full sport experience for even the most experienced enthusiast. The Sports Centerwill provide an adaptive device developed by a double amputee that climbed El Capitan. Inclusion!

Pickleball Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, over a net.
