How to book a vehicle access permit exemption onlineTo streamline the application process for vehicle access permit exemptions, eligible applicants now have the ability to apply for

permit exemptions online at www.qld.gov.au/camping.

Applicants must meet eligibility criteria to qualify for this exemption and provide supporting documentation.

For information on eligibility criteria and required mandatory supporting documentation go online to

www.nprsr.qld.gov.au/recreation-areas/vehicle_access_permit_fees.html to view and familiarise yourself with the Operational

Policy: Fee exemptions for vehicle access permits on QPWS managed recreation areas. Penalties apply for non-compliance.

Steps to apply for a vehicle permit exemption

• Access www.qld.gov.au/camping and select the Make a booking option (icon)

• Log in if you already have an account

• To register a new account follow the registration prompts. Once your account has been confirmed, log in as per the

steps above using your email address and password nominated at registration. You will need to complete the customer

details form. Sections marked with an asterisk (*) are compulsory fields. It is recommended you complete the vehicle

registration field.

You are now ready to apply for your vehicle permit exemption.

• Select the Vehicle access permit option (icon).

• Once the Vehicle access permit booking form opens:

Ì Select the park or recreation area from the Park drop down menu.

Ì Select Vehicle Permit Exemptions from the Permit drop down menu.

Ì Nominate the date you wish the exemption to commence.

Ì Select the exemption permit duration that best suits your exemption application from the Permit Type selection list.

Residents/landholders usually apply for annual exemptions; relatives, schools and workers usually apply for

shorter durations.

Ì If the relevant vehicle registration details or driver are not shown or differ from your nominated vehicle, enter

the registration details for the vehicle the exemption will apply to and the main driver of the vehicle.

Ì You can apply for more than one exemption permit in the one application by clicking on the Add vehicle button.

Remember—additional exemption permits must meet all eligibility.

Once you have completed the required information, click on the Continue button to take you to the next screen

—Review Booking.

Once the Review Booking screen loads:

• Upload your supporting documentation by using the Choose file button.

Ì A minimum of three (3) documents are required when making a booking including your current driver’s licence and

vehicle registration details and one other supporting document such a s a property lease agreement or rates notice.

• Select your files and click the Add document button to complete the upload. You can load up to three files with

your application.

• Read the Terms & Conditions—you must agree prior to checking out.

Once your application is complete, click the Checkout button. You will now return to your account screen. Once your account

screen loads:

• Click on the Active Bookings tab to view your exemption permit/s.

• Click on the record on screen and click the Download Permit button to download and/or print a copy of your exemption

permit tag.
