BarbequesThere are two BBQ Gazebos with gas grills available for your use. One is located between the Texada ocean front building and the Playground. The other is located in the grass area behind the Grotto Spa. Standalone barbeques can be delivered to your room on request, with the exception of the Oceanview and Jedediah units. Briquettes are available for purchase at the Pines Gift Shop. Please do not use wood in the barbeques, as sparks can cause serious damage to buildings and foliage.

Coffee Shop Tigh-Na-Mara's on-site coffee shop is located in our "cedars restaurant & lounge" in the Main Resort Building. Available for sit down or take-out, guests can purchase coffees, cappuccinos, lattes, specialty coffees and fresh baked muffins.

Concierge Services (July & August)Our Concierge team can assist in making your stay at Tigh-Na-Mara an experience to remember. The Concierge can help with bookings of recreational activities, attractions and travel. Dial ‘0’ and ask to be connected with the Concierge for assistance. During the off season, our Front Desk team will be happy to assist you.

Conferences and MeetingsTigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre is the perfect location year-round for your next group function. The Resort’s conference and meeting centre offers exceptional conferencing services. Groups enjoy the flexibility to create customized meetings, workshops, corporate retreats and social events that fit both their needs and budget. Tigh-Na-Mara is a destination resort offering groups a distraction-free experience, with accommodations, amenities and banquet facilities all on-site, allowing for successful meetings that get results. For wedding information see page 14.

All meeting rooms have access to natural light, either by skylights and large windows or by direct courtyard and spacious outdoor terraces. The on-site banquet professionals will work with each client to design a customized menu that fits their needs, from gourmet banquets to boxed lunches. FaxesWhile staying with us, faxes can be sent to you via our Front Office at 250-248-4140. Please request that the fax is sent “Attention: Your Full Name”. Outgoing faxes may be sent from the Front Desk. Dial ‘0’ for more information and faxing fees.

FiresOpen beach fires are not permitted at any time. Please dial ‘0’ for more information. This entire stretch of coastline from Qualicum River in the north to Craig Bay in the south is designated as a wildlife management area.

FireplacesAll our units are equipped with a gas or wood-burning �replace. Please extinguish wood �res and turn o� gas �replaces before leaving your unit.

Gas FireplacesTo start a gas fireplace simply locate the switch on the wall labeled "Gas Fireplace." It may take a minute to light. Your fireplace has a safety feature that will shut off and trigger a fan in the event that it becomes too hot.

Wood Burning FireplacesComplimentary wood is supplied at directly to our rustic cottages. Fire starters are available at the Front Desk. We recommend building your fire towards the back of the fireplace to avoid smoke filling the Cottage.

Fitness Centre & Pool HouseAll guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary access to our Fitness Centre and Pool House, located beside the Main Resort Building.

The Pool House features an indoor pool, whirlpool, and sauna. It also features an outdoor rooftop terrace, accessible to all guests, to relax while enjoying the weather and natural scenery. The Fitness Centre offers Precor Cardio exercise equipment, weight training equipment, free weights and yoga mats. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the equipment. The facilities also include men’s and women’s change rooms with complimentary use of towels, showers and lockers.

GazeboOur seaside Gazebo is located between our Gabriola and Ballenas Oceanview buildings. With stunning panoramic views of Rathtrevor Beach, the Strait of Georgia and Coastal Mountains, the Gazebo is an ideal location for weddings or just sitting back and enjoying the peace and natural surroundings.

Gift CardsTigh-Na-Mara and Grotto Spa gift cards make a wonderful gift. Gift cards can be purchased at the Front Desk, Grotto Spa Reception, Gift Shop, online and over the phone.

Gift ShopThe Pines Gift Shop showcases an extensive collection Canada-made products and over 40 island based artists. Discover locally made soaps, candles, jewelry, West Coast delicacies, First Nations designs, clothing, pottery, skincare, hand-blown glass, games, books, and toys.

The Pines also offers all the essentials like bathing suits, snacks, drinks, toiletries, and other convenience items. And if you enjoyed a restful sleep, the Gift Shop offers the same pillows you experienced in your room, ready for you to take home. Stop by to see the great selection you won’t find elsewhere in the region and find the perfect item to remember your time at Tigh-Na-Mara!

Housekeeping ServicesTo reduce risk and promote safety for you and our Team, Housekeeping will not be providing daily cleaning service during your stay. We are happy to deliver any additional supplies you require. Please call Guest Services. Extra bags will be provided in your guestroom to leave any dirty linens outside your guestroom by 11am daily.

IceIce is available in the laundry building adjacent to the Playground or in the laundry building located next to the Spa Bungalows from 7 am to 12 am daily. Each guest unit is equipped with an ice bucket for your convenience.

Internet AccessComplimentary high-speed wireless internet access is available in all guest rooms as well as in all public areas of the Main Resort, including the lobby and “cedars restaurant & lounge.” Network and password located on plastic info card beside guestroom phone.

Jetted TubsIn-room jetted tubs in Spa Bungalows and various Oceanview units are equipped with an automatic cleaning process. Approximately 20 minutes after draining, the jets will self clean, then shut down automatically. In consideration of other guests, please refrain from using the jetted tubs between the hours of 11 pm and 8 am, as they are noise concerns.

Laundry FacilitiesThere are three self-service laundry facilities on-site. One adjacent to the Playground, one on the main �oor of the Jedediah Building, and one at the Spa Bungalows near the Grotto Spa. Correct change andlaundry detergent can be obtained at the Pines Gift Shop or Front Desk.Washing and drying machines require a one-dollar coin and two quarters per load.

Lost and FoundAny items left behind will be discarded rather than kept in Lost & Found to reduce handling of guest items.

Mail and ParcelsPlease dial ‘0’ to arrange for pick-up or drop off of letters or parcels.

Medical ServicesPlease dial ‘0’ for assistance obtaining medical attention, or 9-911 for an emergency. If you call 9-911 directly from your room, please dial ‘0’ to notify the Front Desk so we can assist the emergency services in locating your guestroom as quickly as possible.

DVD Player RentalsDVD players are available to borrow at the Front Desk. Please dial ‘0’ if you require assistance.

Murphy BedsTo use the Murphy beds (in Oceanview rooms & Jedediah studios), remove the cushions from the back of the couch, pull the bed down over the couch and move the ‘legs’ into place. To replace the Murphy bed, simply lift the bed back into the wall.

Futon Bedding

for a comfortable nights sleep. If you require additional bed linens, please contact the Front Desk.

Noise Concerns If you encounter any noise concerns during your stay, please dial ‘0’ to alert the Front Desk of the issue and give us the opportunity to resolve your concerns. Quiet time is between 11 pm and 8 am. Please note that Rathtrevor Beach is a public beach, therefore we do not have control over noise concerns originating from the beach.

No Smoking PolicyAll units at Tigh-Na-Mara are non-smoking. The use of marijuana is prohibited everywhere on property.

ask a Tigh-Na-Mara team member for directions to the closest designated smoking area. A deep cleaning charge of $250 will be applied to your account as a result of smoking in your guest room.

PetsPets are welcome in our Cottage units year-round. We charge a per-stay fee that includes a welcome package for your pet. Please do not leave your pet unattended in your cottage or on resort grounds. We invite you to hire a pet-sitter by dialing ‘0’ if you will be away from your pet during your stay. Please note that Housekeeping will not provide maid service to units containing an unattended pet.

RecyclingTigh-Na-Mara is proud to support a number of ‘green friendly’ initiatives, including recycling bins in every guest room and all public areas. Please use these bins to recycle cans, bottles, and newspapers.

Safety and SecurityTo ensure your safety and security during your stay, close your room door securely and ensure that the lock engages properly when exiting your room. Carry your room key with you at all times and avoid leaving your key unattended in any public area. We recommend that you do not leave valuables in your room or vehicle, as Tigh-Na-Mara is not responsible for the loss of any valuables. A limited number of safety deposit boxes are available at the Front Desk. If you see any suspicious activity, please report your observations to the Front Desk by dialing ‘0’.
