Here it is the end of July and it still is as constantly hot as I

can remember. The Grant house just got air conditioning,

and I can only ask why we didn’t have such heavenly cool-

ness years ago. The Luau (or perhaps, the summer party) was

a great success. Everyone had a lovely time and the food,

thanks to Marie Giusto, was wonderful.

We had a serendipity in June when a lady from Camarillo

sent us one of the old silver Grindelwald pins in mint condi-

tion that her deceased uncle had. No one knows how he got

it, so if you know anything about Tony Gamero, please let us

know. We are planning to add it to the Grindelwald pin col-

lection at the ski museum in Norco.

I am working on a survey form to try to find out what mem-

bers like and don’t like, what you would like us to do that we

are not, and anything else you might want to comment on. Of

course, you don’t have to wait; my email, as are those of all

our officers, are on the Grindelwald website and in the Roster

so you can email us any time with your comments, questions

and thoughts.

Thanks again to all our officers for the great job they are

Annie Get Your Gun at the Glendale Playhouse. It had been some time since I had been there, but the

play was great and I had my wife, Jane, and good friends to help me enjoy it. Thanks to Ann Sands

and Mariam Corbett... Dot & Jim and Jane & I had a fun GSC Service Auction. After the play we

went to Crab Avenue for dinner. Had a great dinner and a great show with some wonderful friends.
