He has showed you, O Man, what is good. And what

does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to

love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Micah 6:8

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA! WE CELEBRATE JULY 4TH, INDEPENDENCE DAY, AS AMERICA’S BIRTHDAY! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY GOD HAS GIVEN TO US! From the mountains, to the prairies to the oceans white with foam, everywhere you look, one can see beauty. What-ever your preference, hills and rocks, or flat land and black dirt, God gives you your love. . . .AND WE SHOULD ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT OUR COUNTRY IS BUILT ON GOD. We have our freedoms because many people have given their lives for these freedoms. OUR FREE-DOMS ARE NOT CHEAP! We should never forget the price paid for these freedoms. . . .And we should never forget that we have no guarantee that we will always have these freedoms. IF WE TAKE GOD OUT OF OUR LIVES, THAT SPACE DOES NOT STAY VACANT. THE DEVIL IS RIGHT THERE TO STEP IN. IF WE TAKE GOD OUT OF THE SCHOOLS, THE DEVIL IS RIGHT THERE. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A VACANT SPACE. THE SPACE IS EITHER FILLED BY GOD OR THE DEVIL. May we not take our freedom of worship for granted. FROM THE WAR OF IN-DEPENDENCE, THE BATTLE OF THE ALAMO, WWI AND WWII, AND ALL THE WARS IN BETWEEN AND SINCE THEN, MAY WE CELEBRATE OUR FREEDOMS AND THE LIVES OF THE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE PROTECTED OUR COUNTRY. MAY WE SAY THANK YOU TO GOD FOR OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY AND MAY WE FILL IT WITH GOD AND SAY GOOD-BYE TO THE DEVIL. . . .AH. . . .THE BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAINS AND THE BEAUTI-FUL OCEANS AND ALL THE BEAUTY IN BETWEEN. . . . HOW BLESSED WE ARE AND HOW GOD LOVES US. . . .AND I ASK YOU, “JUST HOW WONDERFUL IS THAT!” Thank you, Jesus, for loving me. Thank you, God, for lov-ing me. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for loving me and for walking with me always. Amen. ~ Jean Gunn
