Faith Formation’s HOLY HOUR will be Friday the 25th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. We invite parents and catechists to join our celebration. We wish to thank those who have already registered for the Holy Hour of Faith Formation.

Nota de agradecimiento y reflección en el Dia del Catequista
I am pleased to thank and congrat-ulate our wonderful team of catechists, on the Catechist’s Day. God in His mercy has blessed this commu-nity with your dedication and good stewardship. I take this opportunity to share the following per-sonal reflection. Jesus commissioned the disci-ples after His resurrection, with the following words: “ Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations11, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” (Mt, 28:19-29). We must take in consideration that this Holy call requires from us dedication to love and know Jesus consistently every day , in order to be one with Him at all times, with the purpose to teach according to His will. Our Lord Jesus expects us to be “light and salt” to the world. He said: “You are the salt of the earth... you are the light of the world. In the same way, your light must shine be-fore men so that they may see goodness in your acts and give praise to your heavenly Father" (Mt 5, 13-16). In order to be light we need to nourish ourselves from the “light of lights” the Holy Spirit. We must pray and become one with our HOLY CHIEF, that way we become joyful instruments of evangelization. We need to study so we can be truthful. May the Lord bless us and help us to go forth holding His hand, and making disciples of all nations for the Glory of His Kingdom.
En el Día del Catequista, me complace dar las gra-cias y felicitar a nuestro maravilloso equipo de ca-tequistas, Dios en su misericordia ha bendecido a esta comunidad con su dedicación y corresponsa-bilidad. Aprovecho esta oportunidad para compartir la siguiente reflexión personal; Jesús comisionó a sus discípulos después de su resurrección con las siguientes palabras: "Id, pues, y haced discípulos a todas las naciones ... y enseñándoles a guardar todo lo que yo os he mandado. Y he aquí que yo estoy con vosotros todos los días hasta el fin del mundo "(Mt 28: 19-29). Hay que tener en cuenta que este Santo llamado requiere de nosotros la dedicación a amar y conocer a Jesús cada día consistentemente, con el fin de ser uno con Él en todo momento con el propósito de enseñar de acuerdo a su voluntad. Nuestro Señor Jesús espe-ra que seamos "luz y sal" del mundo, Él dijo: "Vosotros sois la sal de la tierra ... Vosotros sois la luz del mundo. De la misma manera, debe brillar su luz delante de los hombres para que puedan ver la bondad en sus actos y dar gloria a vuestro Pa-dre celestial "(Mt 5, 13-16). Con el fin de ser la luz, tenemos que nutrirnos de la luz de las luces, el Es-píritu Santo. Debemos orar y convertirnos en uno con nuestro Santo Jefe, de esa manera nos con-vertimos en instrumentos alegres de evangeliza-ción. Tenemos que estudiar para que podamos ser veraces. Que el Señor nos bendiga y nos ayude para ir adelante, sostenidos de su mano, para ha-cer discípulos a todas las naciones para la Gloria de Su Reino.

Jesus teaches us that we are called to serve one another. Sacrifice is not a word that many people like to hear. We think it means that we must give up something that we want. However, the literal meaning of sacrifice is “to make holy,” from the words “sacer” = sacred and “facere” = to make. In other words, we make our lives holy by sharing our gifts in the service of God.
Jesús nos enseña que somos llamados a servirnos el uno para al otro. Sacrificio no es una palabra que muchas personas quieren escuchar. Pensamos que significa que debemos renunciar a algo que deseamos. Sin embargo, el significado literal de sacrificio es “hacer sagrado” de las palabras “sacer” = sagrado y “facere” = hacer. En otras palabras, hacemos nuestras vidas santas compartiendo nuestros dones al servicio de Dios.

As you all know, a box was placed in the vestibule of the church where all parishioners can deposit food items or monetary donations for those in our community who are in need. Our pantry needs non-perishable items to help the needy. Thank you for your generosity and donations to help the needy through our Parish.
