UCO Wellness Center Group Fitness Spring 2016 Class Descriptions LES MILLS™ BODYPUMP™ The original LES MILLS™ barbell class, will sculpt, tone and strengthen your entire body, fast! Focusing on low weight loads and high repetition movements, you'll burn fat, gain strength and quickly produce lean body muscle conditioning. The cutting-edge BODYPUMP™ choreography and chart-topping music is refreshed every three months, so with your choice of weight and highly-trained instructors you can get the group effect and the results you've been looking for! Available in 30-minute lunch classes or traditional 60-minute classes. (Maximum 20 participants) CYCLE A cardiovascular workout utilizing specialized stationary bikes, participants choose their resistance while riding to exhilarating music! In this class you will burn calories! Climb, sprint, and jump your workout to the next level. Make sure to bring a reusable water bottle! CYCLE-N-TONE This class has all the elements of a cycle class but with the added benefit of strength training and toning exercises. KICKBOXING An intense workout with controlled jabs, punches, kicks, and combinations. Participants will be challenged and inspired to discover the endless energy and power of simple, yet precise kickboxing techniques. (Maximum 45 participants) MUSCLE FIRE If you are looking for a challenge or a way to spice up your everyday fitness routine this is an action packed class filled with scorching plyometric drills, kettlebell training that will incorporate interval, strength, power and resistance training. TAI-CHI This class incorporates balance, strength, and flexibility activities to improve functionality and physical fitness. YOGA 60 Minutes of poses combined with breathing techniques to relax your mind and strengthen your body. All poses can be modified to be more or less challenging. Participants will be taught several variations for all poses. YOGA/ PILATES A combination of principles from Yoga and Pilates, a great mind/body class for people of all fitness levels. This class will focus on flexibility, core, stability, strength, as well as relaxation techniques. ZUMBA® Fuses Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic workout system that will blow you away! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat!
