KEEPING YOU INFORMED

The T2D Project is being delivered by South Australians for South Australians. Together, we can shape tomorrow’s infrastructure and transport network.

The comprehensive ground investigations program commenced in August 2020 with one drill rig, and progressed to four concurrently operating by November.

HOW WILL THESE WORKS AFFECT ME?

The locations selected for the ground investigation and engineering survey works do not necessarily correspond to areas that will be impacted by the project in the final design.

The majority of tests will be undertaken on the road and council reserve areas. Residents and businesses will be notified in advance if testing is to be undertaken near their property.

If access to a private property is required, the owner will be contacted prior.

The activities will involve a testing crew setting up a small test site at each location, for up to a week, depending on the tests being undertaken. Some sites may be re-visited over a number of days for additional sampling.

Ground investigation activities may involve:

• Local traffic management

• Minor excavation to expose underground services

• Drilling a bore hole to collect ground samples and perform tests

• Drill rigs, light vehicles and personnel on site

• Markings on pavements and roads

The testing crew will monitor noise and disruption throughout the investigations program and will make every effort to minimise the impact to the community. Following completion of each investigation, the site will be reinstated.

Thank you for your patience while we undertake these important activities.
