Greeng to the Students, Parents and Patrons of Page High School From Principal: Greg Stanfield One semester is nearly in the books at Page High School for the 2016-17 school year. As we approach the holiday season, I sincerely hope you all have a fulfilling me during the holidays, spent with family and friends. Finals week is quickly approaching. The finals week is set for December 13 th -16th, with December 16th being a half day. It is MANDATORY that your student is present in school on these days, so please plan your vaca- on me around this week and the school calendar. Excepons to students being present in class will only be granted by Mr. Stanfield. If you need to discuss any excepons please contact Mr. Stanfield by calling (928) 608-4185 or e-mail greg.stanfi[email protected] . Christmas vacaon will start at noon on December 16 th unl January 2nd. School will resume on January 3rd 2017. With the holiday season I think it would be appropriate for us to reflect on the good things we have in our lives or reflect on how we can try to change our outlook on life. I feel the best place to start with this is to look at our own atude and how we treat each other. As menoned by Kevin Bracey we need to be world changers and tell people that you care about them and love them. Mark Twain added “words can heal or hurt. Kindness is a language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see”. From this we can see how we ac- tually control our atude and outlook on what we want to be grateful for and to help others also. We make the world a beer place by making yourself a beer person. Our Reach One club is trying to make a difference in our school and community by celebrang 12 days of Kindness. Each student and community member could also reflect and set up their own 12 Days of Kindness. Here at Page High School this is how we will celebrate our 12 days of kindness. December 1 st Give a compli- ment to a friend, December 2nd Write a card to our soldiers who are defending our country, December 5th Thank someone who makes a difference in your life, December 6 th Deck the halls leave a posive note for others, December 7th Hold the door open for someone, December 8th Make someone feel special, December 9th Cards for the lonely and shut in, December 12th Tell a joke make someone laugh, December 13th Give a stranger a compliment, December 14th Be Chill pass your finals, December 15th Smile as you go, December 16th Be extra generous. By looking at yourself and how you can change the world you can create a Culture of Caring at School, Home or Work. When you care, you will inspire others to care. You need to set the tone by extending yourself to others and serve them. Go out of your way to serve someone. Go beyond the expected. People know you care when you go out of your way to show they maer. A smile, an encouraging word, an extra five minutes of me, listening to a fellow student or person, sacrificing for a friend, helping a team member through a challenging me can make all the difference. You want to be remembered by how you treat others. Leave a legacy, make a difference. I hope you will use this holiday season to reflect on the differences you can make here at school, those around you and yourself a beer person by showing that you care.
