Welcome to our new catalogue for this new 2008/09 season.

I must start by thanking all of our existing customers for their continued allegiance to Green-Techand welcome to those of you that are new. We are now entering our 15th year of supplyingproducts to the landscaping, forestry and construction industries. We manage a portfolio of over1700 carefully chosen products. This year alone we have added over 100 products. We arecommitted to being the industry’s finest single source supplier, not only offering product choicebut the most excellent service too.

The last year has proved the most exciting yet, with the acquisition of a new arm to our business.Tricor Services was acquired on the 1st July 2008 and has complimented our existing portfoliowith a range of irrigation systems, planters and environmental street products. This is a greataddition to our ever growing environmentally friendly product range, with both the recycled nature ofmany of the products and the water saving capabilities of the Mona Plant Systems.

Green-tree soil has gone from strength to strength, leading us to employ a dedicated specialistin the area to give the product the focus it demands. We have once again been rewarded for theenvironmental benefits of the product with a prestigious 'Green Apple National Gold' awardpresented by none other than the environmentalist Professor David Bellamy in June 2008.

Our commitment to environmental products has grown over the last year with the introduction ofone of our most popular new lines over recent years. Sales of our 100% recycled groundprotection system have grown dramatically since the launch last summer and has been wellreceived by all those who have bought it.

We are dedicated to keeping this 'green' focus throughout the company and are sure that the newproducts introduced over the next year will further enhance the excellent range and service thatwe know you all value greatly.

Mona Plant System (MPS) is an advanced, well provenand easy to use subterranean irrigation system. It is thecost effective and environmentally friendly solution forboth interior and exterior landscaping.

• MPS Tanks are available in a variety of sizes to fit all containers and pots.• MPS Tanks can be planted at difficult depths to suit the plant roots.• MPS Tanks ranging from 0.9 litres to 25 litres.

1. Place the Plantsava insidethe planter. If the filler pipeis too long, you can cut itdown to size. Make sureyou cut the float inside thepipe by the same amount.

2. Fill the capillary leg withsoil. Make sure that thereare no air pockets buut donot over compact the soil.

3. Cover your Plantsava witha layer of soil. The bottomof your plant’s rootsshould be no more than15cm above the top of thereservoir.

4. Remove your plant fromthe grow pot and loosenany pot bound roots.Complete planting byfilling the remaining spacein the container with soil.Water in the soil lightly.

Plantsava – Root Watering System

As a "root watering system", Plantsava’s simplicity has an interesting science behindit. Plantsava doesn't just water a plant's roots, it provides the much needed oxygen.Once easily installed in the pot, a filler pipe from the surface runs down to a waterreservoir in the base of the pot. The system delivers water from the roots upwards forup to 6 weeks without the need for re-filling. A float in the filler pipe will tell you whenthe reservoir is full.

Using the soil's natural capillary action, the plant draws water from the soil only whenit requires water. So there is no more guessing on how much and how often youshould water your plants.

"Over-watering" does not kill plants. Rather, they are drowned and suffocated by a lackof oxygen in the soil. This occurs when available pore spaces for oxygen in the soil aresaturated by water. This is a common problem with traditional top-watering methods.

Through the filler pipe and vents on top of the reservoir, the soil is replenished withoxygen from the atmosphere. In this way, Plantsava allows oxygen to be delivereddirectly to the plant's root where it is required to grow. Plantsava helps your plantsestablish a healthy root system, which means healthy looking plants.

This low cost option provides traditional protection for stemmed seedlings and transplants.

Sowing Times

Environmental pressures mean that wild flower planting now formsan important part of many landscape projects. The issue of nativeseed provenance is already vital in many parts of the UK and itsimportance is almost certain to grow.

Green-tech is probably the largest independent supplier of wild flower seeds in the UK. Our standard mixture is 20% wild flowers to 80% low maintenance native grasses, but special mixes

are available to exactly match the ecological requirements of any landscape.

Our prices are highly competitive but remember: some seeds arescarce and thus more expensive. The precise mixture used canmake significant differences to cost both upwards and downwards.

Wild Flower ManagementSite Preparation

Management Cutting Regime

The site should be weed free. Annual weeds should be controlledby mechanical means or by the use of contact based herbicide suchas paraquat. Perennial weeds, for example docks thistle, nettlesand couch grass can be dealt with using a translocated herbicide

such as Round-Up. Cultivate to achieve a fine seed bed and thenroll to ensure firmness. The best results are obtained when there isgood contact between the soil and the seeds.

DO NOT USE FERTILISER, either prior to sowing or in future yearsmanagement. This will only encourage the grasses which will subsequently outcompete the wild flowers.

Sowing can best be achieved by mixing the seed with dry sand or sifted topsoil and evenly broadcast. It is important that the seed is incontact with moisture in the soil so the seedbed should be lightly raked and then rolled.

This regime allows the wild flowers to compete with grasses duringthe establishment period. After this, cutting in October should suffice, after which the cuttings should always be removed.

Japanese Knotweed

Japanese Knotweed is a rampant rhizomatous perennial weed known to grow some sevenmetres away from the parent plant with new shoots capable of penetrating tarmac, paving andbuilding foundations. Recognisable from its noded bamboo like stems that emerge inMarch/April and mature leaves that are approximately 15cm in diameter, Japanese Knotweednot only outruns other plants, but it also forms a smothering mulch to other plants from leaf andstem litter.

Effective control of Japanese Knotweed can be achieved by the combination of using translocatedherbicides along with soil removal. Many trials have been carried out and the chemicals detailedbelow have been selected for their success.

Terms & ConditionsDEFINITIONS & INTERPRETATION In these conditions, the following words shall, where the context so admits, have the following meanings:-

• The Company - Green-tech Ltd Company Reg No.04543146 (Green-tech)

• The Customer - The organisation or individual from whom the order is received.

• The Goods - Goods or services supplied by theCompany to the Customer

• Working Day - Any day which is not a Saturday, or aSunday or a bank or public holiday in England

In these conditions, references to the singular include the plural, and references to any statute or statutory provisionshall, unless the context requires otherwise, be construed asa reference to that statute or statutory provision as from time to time amended, consolidated, modified, extended, re-enacted or replaced.

PREVAILING CLAUSEUnless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, these conditions shall govern and form part of every contract for theprovision of all Goods which are provided by the Companyand shall prevail over and exclude any terms or conditions,whether expressed or implied, of the Customer.

PRICESPrices in the catalogue and on the website are correct at thetime of going to press and all prices quoted are in UK sterling.All prices are subject to VAT at the rate ruling and should betreated as a guide only. Due to our policy of continuousimprovement, Green-tech Ltd retain the right to alter any priceor specification without prior notice.

ORDERSOrders will be accepted by telephone, fax, in writing or by e-mail. All orders over £5000 must be confirmed in writing.1st orders must be paid for up front before a 30 day creditaccount will be considered.

QUOTATIONSAre given without engagement and are based on informationprovided by the customer.

DELIVERIESDeliveries will be made as soon as possible after an order isplaced (unless the customer specifies a deferred deliverydate). The company cannot guarantee a time or date of delivery. Customers are required to be on site at time of delivery, unless they have previously informed the company ofalternative arrangements. Timed deliveries will incur an extracharge. No responsibility will be accepted for an overnight 24hours delivery contracted to an independent carrier whichdoes not arrive on time, nor will any claims for consequentialloss be accepted. If the customer requires the delivery vehicle to be driven off the public highway in order to make adelivery, then this will be entirely at the customers own riskand the company will not accept any responsibility fordamage to property caused by the vehicles. Unloading ofgoods is the responsibility of the customer. Goods shall bedeemed to be delivered when handed to the carrier.

SHORTAGES/DISCREPANCIES POLICYThe customer is responsible for checking quantities when adelivery is made or they collect. Any shortages/discrepanciesmust be notified within 48 hours of receipt, by telephone andconfirmed in writing within 7 days to the company. After thistime no responsibility will be accepted for any shortages ordiscrepancies. Please note that many items are natural productsand as such may have varying colours and textures etc.

CARRIAGEWhere possible carriage will be paid on orders over £300 invalue. Access to the delivery address is the customer’sresponsibility. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform thecompany of any site restrictions to vehicle size.

DAMAGE & RETURNED GOODSAny goods received damaged or of a defective specificationshould be notified on the delivery note and within 48 hours ofreceipt, by telephone and confirmed in writing within 7 days tothe company. The company will replace any goods damagedin transit or of a defective specification providing the aboveconditions are met. No other returns will be accepted. Whengoods are delivered by a carrier damages must be noted ontheir paperwork at the time of receipt and on the copy kept bythe carrier.

NON-DELIVERYMust be notified within 5 days of receipt of the invoice andconfirmed in writing, otherwise no liability will be considered.

RETURNS POLICYIn exceptional circumstances and only at the discretion of theDirectors, goods may be accepted for return. In these circumstances a handling charge of 25% will be applied andthe customer is responsible for the safe and complete returnof the goods.

TITLE & RESPONSIBILITYTitle of the goods will remain with the company until FULLpayment is received. Responsibility and risk in the goods shallpass to the customer upon delivery.

CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGEUnder no circumstances will the company be liable under thishead, nor for those arising through unavoidable delays inmanufacture of deliveries

OVERDUE ACCOUNTSAccounts are due for settlement within 30 days of invoice.Overdue accounts WILL be charged at 5% over YorkshireBank base rate. Accounts remaining unpaid after 75 days willalso become subject to a 25% surcharge. Payment can bemade by cash, cheque, BACS or credit/debit cards. In authorising us to accept payment with your credit/debit cardyou accept overdue accounts may in the future be settledusing your card details. Customers with overdue accountscan expect to have further deliveries suspended without priorprice notice.

PESTICIDE & CHEMICAL SALESAll pesticides and chemicals sold are with the understandingthat they will be used by competent end users within theguidelines of FEPA (Food and Environment Protection Act 1985).All pesticides and chemicals are sold with the understandingthat they are used strictly within the latest ApprovedRecommendations for that product. When using pesticidesand chemicals. Always read the label and use safely.
