Writing the Feasibility Report
A feasibility report describes the
concepts proposed to achieve Anebusinesss requirements and
also describes how practical(feasible) the proposed ebusiness
is. Preferably, more than onesolution is offered, in which casethe report compares the various
solutions and determines whichsolution is best for the ebusiness.
A feasibility report can assist youto understand the concepts
proposed by providing

information that includes:Viability: Is the ebusiness viable?
Why? How do we know?
Technical Feasibility: Can theebusiness be implemented? Howeasily? Does it require
technology/resources that arereadily available? How do weknow?
Desirability: Is there a
demonstrated need or demand forthe ebusiness?Affordability: Whatwill the ebusiness cost toimplement? To maintain?
Comparisons: Will this ebusinessbe better than or preferred overany other ebusinesss?
Feasibility reports need notalways make recommendations.

represent the various argumentsand evidence for/against the
proposed ebusiness and ideas forestablishing the business.
Typical components of afeasibility report:

3. Executive Summary.a
concise summary of the reports
key points4. Introductionpurpose of the
report, overview of concepts
proposed.
