Vision Statement

Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.” I believe wholeheartedly in this quote and use it as a foundation for my vision as a school leader.

I also use CARE as an acronym to show what I value in a learning environment:C- CollaborationA- Academic achievement R- Relationships and family voiceE- Excellence

Collaboration:I believe that collaboration among all of a school’s constituents is essential to build a strong learning environment.

Staff members work as a team to do what is in the best interest of the students Students feel a sense of community with their teachers, peers, and school Parents and community members are welcome at school and actively involved Teaching and learning can only occur in an atmosphere of collegiality and support

Academic Achievement:I believe that student learning is a top priority of a school.

Academic achievement is a shared responsibility involving the student, their family or caretakers, all teachers, school staff, and the school administration team.

Education program develops the whole child (physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively)

Curriculum is flexible, challenging and ever-changing so that each child will achieve success

Relationships and Family Voice:I believe strongly in building long-lasting relationships and view families as integral pieces of the education process.

I always have an open door policy which helps to promote transparency and communication

Curriculum and parent nights aid in keeping families informed and engaged Bi-monthly parent meetings serve as a medium for parent voice and advocacy Diversity should be embraced and celebrated

Excellence:I believe that a school should be a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment for all involved. We should strive for nothing less than excellence in everything we do.

Quality instruction ensures that all students are set up for success A nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment promotes learning Our employees are dedicated and perform with the utmost integrity Maintaining a high-quality culture of excellence within the school promotes learning

Throughout my career the most important concept has always been showing how much I care. I believe that caring about those you serve will build a strong school.
