Graduate courses available to exchange students -- fall 2016

During the fall semester, you may choose among dedicated electives courses to achieve a minor, core

program courses, and general elective courses. More information is available under each section below.

If a program has so indicated, the right-hand information box on the course description shows which

quarter the course is offered.

Q1 means that a course is taught in weeks 36 - 43 (varies with course) – full-credit course, taught in

half a semester.

Q2 means that a course is taught in weeks 44 - 51 (varies with course) – full-credit course, taught in

half a semester.

If there is no Q1 or Q2, then the course is taught in a full semester.

Students are advised against taking more than two quarter-courses in the same quarter, i.e. max. two Q1-

courses or max. two Q2-courses.

NOTE: The oversubscribed courses are marked “oversubscribed during round one” and will be open

for application during the second course application round. Remember to ask your home university

for pre-approval of credit-transfer for all your course requests as we cannot guarantee against

oversubscription during round two. Undersubscribed courses are marked “Not established” and will

not run at all.

CBS MINORS AVAILABLE TO GRADUATE EXCHANGE

STUDENTS -- FALL 2016

The following minors are open to a limited number of graduate exchange students.

When registering online, register for the minor course code ONLY, not for the individual courses in the

minor.

Most minor codes are worth 22.5 ECTS credits. Therefore, you must add one more course worth 7.5 ECTS

credits to achieve the full course load of 30 ECTS credits.

Some of the courses that make up a minor are also available as individual elective courses. However, for

such courses with limited seats, priority will be given to students registered in a minor over students

registered for the elective courses individually.

CBS CORE PROGRAM COURSES AVAILABLE TO

GRADUATE EXCHANGE STUDENTS -- FALL 2016

Graduate exchange students have the great opportunity of enrolling in these CBS core program courses.

However, note that the number of seats in these courses are limited and that there might be a risk of

schedule overlap as the course schedules and exam schedules for the electives and core courses are

administered by different secretariats with no need for coordination since program students are not doing

electives when they are in their core courses.

NOTE: Core courses are not open to undergraduate exchange students, as a bachelor degree is

required for taking these courses.
