Grade 10 Activities

GRADE: 10

(Short bond paper, computerized or handwritten)

Differentiate the following feedback mechanisms.

1. Positive Feedback mechanism

2. Negative Feedback Mechanism

Then, give at least 3 examples with explanation for each feedback mechanism that

are happening in our body. If hormones are involved in the process, identify these hormones,

as well as their function in the process.

You may submit your outputs online through my gmail, [email protected]

GRADE: 10

Do this using 1 piece of paper.

Using your previous output about Looping Statements, choose one to solve this problem.

1. Design an interface with a command button.

2. Then write the codes for that button that once it is clicked, it will display the line, " I love

CIC Mandaue" 100 times.

GRADE: 10

Directions: Choose and answer one item per topic, then answer the generalization question.

Permutation refers to an arrangement of objects in a definitive order. Changing

the order of the objects being arranged creates a new permutation. Learn more

about permutation by doing one of the following tasks and answer the generalization

questions:

A. How many ways can 5 boys and 5 girls be seated at a round table if no restrictions

are imposed? If boys and girls sit alternately? (Draw a sample illustration of the possible

arrangements.)

B. From 5 numbered chips

1) How many 3 digit numbers can be fomed?

2.) How many 2 digit numbers can be formed?

4.)How many numbers can be formed taken 4 at a time?

C. Mrs. PAMO uses the four letters of her surname (in upper case) P, A, M , and O in

different order to assign computer log-in passwords to her 20 students. Each letter

appears only once in a password.

1. Write down the possible passwords.

2. Are there enough passwords for Mrs. Pamo’s 20 students?

3. How many different passwords can Mrs. Pamo create?

4. Explain how to find the number of passwords possible if there are 5 letters

available.

Combination refers to the selection of objects regardless of their order. That is,

changing the order of the objects does not create a new combination. Learn more about

permutation by doing one of the following tasks and answer the generalization questions:

A. How many ways can a committee of three be formed from a group of 10

members?

B. Four out of seven students needed to hand out programs at the drama club

performance. In how many ways can the four students be chosen?

C. An English club had 17 players in their squad. There were 9 English players and 8

foreign players. How many different teams could they select if each team

had 5 English players and 6 foreign players?

Generalization:

1. What are the similarities and differences between permutation and combination? Present

yor idea through a Venn diagram, illustration (with short description), or a set of examples.

*All of your IW outputs and other activities will be passed when we get back to school.

* PDF files of the notes for these topics will be sent to the GC of your section. Please make sure you’ll

have a copy of the files. There are exercises to be answered on one of the files and the instructions

on how and where to answer the exercises are included in the file.

ACTIVITY CARD 3F

A research paper is one of the major tasks that most Grade 10 students would like to

do away with because it involves extensive reading and a step-to-step procedure that

would be followed. It entails the gathering of data, organizing and interpreting them.

Writing a research paper at the beginning is tedious and a difficult task, but as you

work on with each stage, you realize that all your efforts are not wasted. You continue to

learn many things as you go along.

Probe the beauty of writing research papers and do the activities below.

1. Research about the Basic Steps in Writing a Research Paper and list five

characteristics of a Good Research Paper.

2. Research on the Guidelines in writing Footnotes and Bibliography.

3. Write an essay on the benefits and advantages of writing or doing research.

NOTE: Answer Drill No. 2 right away, then do Activity Card 3F. You may submit it when we get

back to school or send it to the email add of Mdm. Jadraque ([email protected])

or Mdm. Santacera ([email protected]). Please specify your name, grade &

section and the subject.

Thank you and Congratulations to those who have submitted Drill No. 1 and Activity

Card 3E. I hope those who have not submitted online are also working and keeping

up. Be ready with your submission by the time we get back to school.

God bless and keep safe!
