Open the Door to My Heart Lord

As we travel our journey as Believers of Christ we should always

keep in mind that we are to allow the Love of God to flow in and

thru us.

The congregation at worship is the place for celebrating the home-

coming each week of the Prodigals, including all of us, and driving

away all thoughts of righteous resentments about who all is coming to

dinner. Resentments lead to alienation, going off in to a far countryof our own making.

As the father welcomed the son, so God in Christ welcomes us. That

has implications for the life of a congregation. As Paul writes in

Romans 15: 7, Welcome one Anotherjust as Christ has welcomed

you, for the Glory of God.

To experience the Grace of

On Palm Sunday Christians celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, the week before his death and

resurrection. For many Christian churches, Palm Sunday, often referred to as "Passion Sunday," marks the beginning

of Holy Week, which concludes on Easter Sunday.

The Bible reveals that when Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted him by waving palm branches and covering

his path with palm branches. Immediately following this great time of celebration in the ministry of Jesus, he begins

his journey to the cross.

The biblical account of Palm Sunday can be found in Matthew 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-44; and John

12:12-19.

On Easter Sunday, we will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, JesusChrist. According to Scripture, Jesus came back to life, or was raised

from the dead, three days after his death on the cross. As part of the

Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion is commemoratedon Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter. Through his

death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus pur-

chasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.

Graces Victory GardenThe seeds have arrived and according to the Farmers Almanac, March 20th-22ndare the Best

Planting Days for Aboveground Crops in 2013, especially Peas, Beans, Cucumbers and Squash wherethe climate is suitable. Plant Seedbeds And Flower Gardens on these days for best results and praywithout ceasing. With this advice in mind, we will meet at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20 to

plant this years garden. Invite your friends to join you in this fun but learning experience about our

heritage and Gods Grace as we learn to appreciate all the hard work that goes into providing our

food source! Children, Youth, & Adults are encouraged to attend.

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world

through gift-filled shoe boxes and the message of Gods unconditional love. What better time than

Easter to begin collecting cool, spring toys and items that are not available at Christmas time. Begin

collecting your items and leave them in the collection box in front of the sanctuary.

Youth News (7th12th grade)Hey guys,

Just wanted to forward this info on our youth summer mission trip. June 17-21@ Camp Wesley Pines. I have made my own deadline with a $30 deposit for Sun-day, March 24 that way I can get us registered by March 31(10% discount). Thereis a required 1 adult to every 5 youth on this trip. Monday is registration day/orientation, Tues-Thurs. will be work days and depart by 10am on Friday. Since wewill be leaving so early on Friday. I am planning a stop in Collins, Ms @ Grand Para-dise Waterpark- $25 admission (grandparadisewaterpark.com). We would love to

have you join us, if you have any questions..pleasegive me a call or email.

Also, for the Youth Leaders, I thought we mightwant to have another youth director/youth coor-dinator/youth pastor meeting(lol).. How doesMon. March 18 @9 am sound?? Just let me know.
