Compliant Trust. B. Confident Trust. C. Courageous Trust. D. Conquered or Surrendered Trust. E. Cultivated or Learned Trust. F. Committed Trust. G. Compelling or Strong Trust. H. Convinced Trust. I. Compact Trust. Slide 6 J. Composed or Calm Trust Composed, calm, serene; or self-possessed, (behaving in a calm and confident way). Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. Slide 13 The battle is turned over to the Lord, the problems, the trials, and the difficulties that you face, all are turned over to Him. Ex 14:13-14 Slide 14 The beauty of C.T. is the ability to derive strength from the peace that comes by simply faith-resting in Him. Psa 23; Psa 131:2; Isa 12:2; Rom 5:1-3 Slide 15 Isa 12:2, Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. Slide 16 Psa 131:2, Surely I have composed and quieted my soul; like a weaned child rests against his mother, my soul is like a weaned child within me. Slide 17 Wives are to express Composed trust when dealing with their husbands, 1 Peter 3:4. Slide 18 1 Peter 3:4, But let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. Slide 19 Praying for your government leaders is a demonstration of composed trust that results in a peaceful life, 1 Tim 2:1-2. Slide 20 K. Clear-Headed Trust Clear-Headed, having a clear orderly mind, to be able to think in a sensible and calm way. E.g., lucid, perceptive, logical, realistic, etc. Slide 21 Clear-Head Trust means that you are able to cycle doctrine through your soul in time of pressure and chaos. Rom 12:2-3; Eph 4:22-24 Slide 22 Problems, difficulties, and trials have a tendency to create confusion and cloud our thinking. Reliance on the Lord clears the fog. Psa 13:3-6; 19:8; 119:105; Isa 50:6-7 Slide 23 Psa 19:8, The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. Slide 24 Psa 119:105, Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Slide 25 John 16:13, But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. Slide 26 Paul exhorted all to have clear-headed trust in the Lord, Titus 2:6, 11-12-13. Slide 27 Titus 2:6, Likewise urge the young men to be sensible, (SOPHRONEO). Slide 28 In 1 Thes 5:6-8 we are exhorted to of sober mind (NEPHEO, to be sober, to be calm and collected in spirit), clear headed, so that we can cycle and apply Gods Word in Faith-Rest. Slide 29 To have clear-headed trust we must first examine ourselves, then through the Balance of Residency we can have sober faith-rest, Mat 7:5; Eph 5:18; 1 Peter 1:13; 5:8. Slide 30 Mat 7:5, You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brothers eye. Cf. Luke 6:42 Slide 31 1 Peter 1:13, Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober (clear-headed) in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Slide 32 1 Peter 5:8-9, Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.
