The CME&I (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation) Division

is experienced in the Construction activities for CME & I Facilities and pipe line / flow line

projects, flow line construction for wellhead connections, including all types of fabrication works,

design, fabrication, erection and commissioning of petroleum storage tanks, related civil works /

earth works and necessary building works.

The scope of activities under this division is listed below:

This division is experienced in carrying out projects which involves moving of large

quantities of earth and surface preparation works for large construction projects.

With the support of one of the largest fleet of plant and equipment available in Oman, this

division is capable of undertaking various activities both for our core business sector and

other development projects in Oman. Resources owned by this division include heavy earth

moving equipment, asphalt and batching plants, heavy duty cranes, etc

HEAVY CIVIL AND ROAD CONSTURCTION DIVISION

This division is experienced in the execution of large contracts for construction of roads

and other heavy civil works including earth moving and site preparation works.

We undertake the following activities using our own plant and equipment:

- Site Preparation for large projects;

- Temporary Facilities Construction;

In addition to the resources available with this division, we have access to large

inventory of plant, equipment and manpower available within our Group Company in

Oman. Major Contacts undertaken by this division include a long term service contract

for the construction of more than 500 Well Drilling Locations for PDO and site

preparation for Oman LNG Plant at Qalhat in Sur.

Our project experience for this division include cutting, transportation and disposal of

large quantities of earth as part of our scope for the construction of Terminal Facilities

for Oman Refinery Company in Muscat and 62 Km Marmul to Andhur Road in South Oman

for PDO.

Our experience in surface preparation for Greenfield projects in Oman include LNG Plant

in Sur and a number or projects initiated by PDO and other clients in Oman.

Mechanical Maintenance Services is one of our

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

GPS is the first company in Oman, in its category, to get accreditation to ISO 9002

Quality System in 1995.

A dedicated team of Quality Assurance and Quality Control Engineers (lead by the

Company’s QA/QC Manager and Quality Systems Engineer) supports the

implementation and monitoring of Quality Management of the Company.

More than 90 QA/QC Personnel as of January 2010 is the strength of this Department

which supports both our Construction and Service Contracts in addition to other

company departments for the implementation of Quality Management Systems and

Procedures.

All departments in the Company are certified to ISO 9001 and regular internal and

external audits are conducted to check the compliance and renewal of certificate.

GPS is currently certified to ISO 9001 Quality System for all its activities.



GPS has achieved it’s development from a simple construction contractor to E P I T

C M during the last 13 years and a commendable growth from a Pipeline contractor

to a Down-Stream Facilities Contractor.
