The Annual Report of the Institute depicts important activities and programmes

undertaken and executed by the Institute and its Branches during the year 2015-16. As

most of the programmes are allotted by O/o the DC (MSME), due thrust is given to

complete the same exquisitely by maintaining a well-ordered time frame and also to cater to

the requirements of the local entrepreneurs, both prospective and existing.

The Annual Report thus provides detailed information of various activities performed by

the Institute and its branches for promotion and development of MSMEs in West Bengal and

the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. It is expected that the information

contained in the Report would portray the significant role being played by the Institute and

also bring forth comments for better service.

Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises-Development Institute, Kolkata looks after the promotion and development of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises in the States of West Bengal and Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. At present there are three Branch Institutes covering 20 districts in the state of West Bengal and one Br. Institute at Port Blair covering three districts in the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Administration under the jurisdiction of MSME-DI, Kolkata.

Key activities of MSME-DI, Kolkata and its Branch Institutes: In view of the overall development and promotion of MSMEs, the Institute is empowered with well qualified and experienced technical officers who are actively engaged in various key activities as follows. Consultancy Services:

10 The Institute renders consultancy services to the prospective and existing entrepreneurs in the fields of:- i) Project selection, ii) Techno-economic feasibility, iii) Marketing, iv) Modernization & technology upgradation, v) Reimbursement for Bar-code registration, Participation in International Trade Fairs, ISO certification, Product Certification, Corporate Governance Practice etc. 2. Human Resource Development:

To build up entrepreneurial and managerial skills, this Institute organizes various types of training programmes:

i. Entrepreneurship Development Programme; ii. Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Programme on various trades and products; iii. Management Development Programmes on Industrial Management, Working Capital Management, Material Management etc iv. Skill Development Programmes on Machine Shop Practice, Heat Treatment, Wood Carving, Art ware & Pottery etc; Computer Training on both Software and Hardware; Training on Computer Aided Design & Computer Aided Manufacturing, etc. 3. Export Promotion:

i) Organising specialized training programme (in collaboration with eminent promotional agencies) on Export Management and Export Packaging.

ii) Providing financial assistance to eligible manufacturing MSEs for participating in selected International Trade Fairs under MDA scheme.

4. Development of New Projects:

i) Assisting and guiding in setting up of new projects through preparatio of District Industrial Potentiality Survey Reports and State Industrial Profile by way of providing information on potential resources, infrastructure, market etc.

ii) Disseminating information on project status, marketing, financing, technology, raw materials, etc.

iii) Preparing viable projects, appraising of projects and assessing capacity 5. Marketing Support:

i) Providing marketing assistance to small enterprises through the Single Point Registration Scheme of NSIC for participation in the Govt./PSU Stores Purchase Programmes.

ii) Providing marketing assistance by organizing Vendor Development Programmes and Buyers Sellers Meet of micro, small, medium and large units.

iii) Public Procurement Policy for goods produced and services rendered by Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) be procured by Central Ministries & Departments/ Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

11 6. Common Workshop Facilities: Undertaking job work at very low cost for small enterprises in the following areas :

i) Metallurgy – Heat Treatment ii) Glass and Ceramic iii) Mechanical Engineering iv) Computer Aided manufacturing – Ultra Modern CNC Wire Cutting Machines, NC

Spark Erosion, CNC Lathe etc. v) Conventional – Milling, Cylindrical Grinding, Surface Grinding, Jig Boring, etc.

7. MSE-Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP) : The objective of MSE-CDP is as follows:-

i) To support the sustainability and growth of MSEs by addressing common issues such as improvement of technology, skills and quality, market access, access to capital, etc.

ii) To build capacity of MSEs for common supportive action through formation of SPVs, consortia, upgradation of associations, etc.

iii) To create/upgrade infrastructural facilities in the new/existing industrial areas/clusters of MSEs.

iv) To set up common facility centers (for testing, training centre, raw material depot, effluent treatment, complementing production processes, etc. 8. Modernisation & Techno-upgradation :

Assisting the micro & small scale units to modernize and upgrade technology by organizing :

Training on ISO-9000 and TQM (Total Quality Management) 9. Small Enterprises Network (S E N E T): i) Providing information on various activities and programmes through Websites Storing various data for information and providing training on IT through Small Enterprises Computer Network. ii) Online status feed back for NSIC regn. cases and ISO-9000 reimbursement cases. 10. ISO-Consultancy work for ISO-9001:2000 Certification:

The Institute renders ISO consultancy for the development of Quality Management System (QMS) of MSMEs for obtaining ISO-9001 certification. As per the directives of the O/o DC (MSME), New Delhi, the Institute also provides reimbursement of the charges for acquiring ISO-9001 certification to the extent of 75% of the cost subject

to a maximum limit of Rs. 75,000/- in each case.

11. Bar Code Registration & Reimbursement Scheme:

The Institute conducts Awareness programme on Bar Code Registration by GS1 India & its reimbursement for registered MSEs. As per the present scheme, 75% of Bar Code registration fee is reimbursed for the units who have adopted Bar Code on or after 1st Jan., 2002 and 75% of annual recurring fee for the 1st three years is also reimbursed w.e.f. 1st June, 2007.

Apart from above activities, the institute maintains close liaison with various Govt.departments, promotional agencies, trade associations & NGOs involved in the execution of Govt. schemes & promotional programmes for the development of MSMEs in the State.

CHAPTER – 3.2

Support to MSMEs for Technology & Quality Up gradation(TEQUP)

The objective of this scheme is to enhance MSMEs competitiveness in the National as well as International Market through various activities such as i) Technology up gradation in Packaging, ii) Skill Development in modern marketing ,iii) Taking up competitive studies etc. Also, the objectives of the Scheme are to assist for Capacity Building of MSME Clusters for Energy Efficiency/Clean Development Interventions and other technologies mandated as per the global standards, Implementation of Energy Efficient Technologies (EET) in MSME sector/units, Setting up of Carbon Credit Aggregation Centers (CCA) for introducing and popularizing clean development mechanism(CDM) in MSME clusters and Encouraging MSMEs to acquire product certification/ licenses from National/International bodies and adopt other technologies mandated as per the global standards.

MSME-DI, Kolkata has taken initiative to popularize the scheme and conducted the

Lean Manufacturing Under the Scheme, MSMEs will be assisted in reducing their manufacturing costs, through proper personnel management, better space utilization, and scientific inventory management, improved processed flows, reduced engineering time and so on. LMCS also brings improvement in the quality of products and lowers costs, which are essential for competing in national and international markets. The larger enterprises in India have been adopting LMCS to remain competitive, but MSMEs have generally stayed away from such Programmes as they are not fully aware of the benefits.

a) Report On Technical Bid Evaluation For Bargachia LMP Cluster –1, held on 04.09.2015

Business Incubator

The Scheme provides early stage funding for nurturing innovative business ideas (new indigenous technology, processes, products, procedure etc.) which could be commercialized in a year.

The main objective is to promote development of knowledge-based innovative

ventures and to improve the competitiveness and survival instincts of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Such entrepreneurial innovative ideas are sought to be developed in reputed Technical Management institutions before these can become commercially viable and attract venture capital.

The idea is primarily for sustaining, at some basic or introductory level, the

incubation of ideas that would have otherwise been lost for want of support. The expectations are that a sizeable percentage of the grantees/incubates would be graduating to higher levels of operation that would then require other form of support under other schemes/organizations including from Venture Capital or Angel Funding.

MARKETING SUPPORT

Under Marketing support, the Institute regularly renders assistance to MSEs through Single Point Registration Scheme of NSIC for participation in the Govt. Store Purchase Programme and registration of those units. Besides, the Institute organizes National Level and State Level Vendor Development Programmes and Buyers-Sellers Meet at different locations of the state to enable large, medium and small scale enterprises to participate in such programmes and draw mutual benefits. Necessity and implementation of Public Procurement Policy was discussed and introduced to the participants as well as participating PSUs.

During the year 2015-16, 4 Nos. of NLVDP were allotted to MSME-DI, Kolkata and this institute has completed 01 no of NLVDP. MICRO & SMALL ENTERPRISES CLUSTER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (MSE CDP)

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India (GoI) has adopted the cluster development approach as a key strategy for enhancing the productivity and competitiveness as well as capacity building of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and their collectives in the country. Clustering of units also enables providers of various services to them, including banks and credit agencies, to provide their services more economically, thus reducing costs and improving the availability of services for these enterprises.

Fund Trust for Micro & Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) was organized by MSME-DI, Kolkata in association with Bengal National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BNCCI) on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Chamber premises. The programme was attended by the following dignitaries.

The programme started with the Welcome Address by Dr. G. P. Sarkar, President, BNCCI, Kolkata. In his address, Dr. Sarkar welcomed all the participants and dignitaries and spoke a few words about CGTMSE Scheme. He told that CGTMSE is a laudable scheme of Govt. of India and urged that new entrepreneurs should come forward to take their credit under CGTMSE cover. Shri Sarkar also requested the bankers to come forward and support the business plan under CGTMSE.

The Key Note Address was addressed by Shri K. L. Rao, Director, MSME-DI, Kolkata. In his address, Shri Rao described the different schemes of MSME and urged the bankers to send the new project proposals to MSME-DI, Kolkata for appraisal. Shri Rao told that an appraised project report may be financed by banks under CGTMSE cover.

CHAPTER -7

MSME MDA

MSME-DI, Kolkata renders assistance to MSMEs in order to enable them to utilize their export potential through various avenues for competing in the global market. Besides, the Institute organises various programmes such as Export Management Training Programmes, Training Programmes on Packaging for Exports, Seminar on Bar Coding, etc. every year and also disseminates information on Policies & Procedures for export, latest rules & regulations of various organizations related to exports. The basic aim of such programmes is to assist the MSMEs and help them overcome their constraints so that they may have better access in the overseas market.

The Export Division selects & recommends many MSEs to exhibit their products at the Pavilion of the Ministry in the International Trade Fair in many foreign countries. This office regularly prepares Business Enquiries & Bulletin on Exports. Besides as a member, this office attends various meetings conducted by the DGFT, Kolkata, Export Inspection Agency, Kolkata. This office maintains a good liaison with various Export Promotion Councils and assists MSEs to export their products. The significant activities undertaken by the Institute under Export Promotion are given as follows:

Regular assistance under MDA scheme is rendered to MSEs for participation in International Trade Fairs organized in different countries of the world. 7.3 Awareness Programme on Bar Code: Bar Coding has a significant impact on the success of any enterprise/company

andorganization. Timely and accurate capture of product information and its communication electronically across the Supply Chain ahead of physical product flow is critical to lowering inventory costs, inaccurate sales forecasting & dynamic production scheduling and in product track and trace. Bar Coding not only facilitates the exchange of information between buyers and sellers, but also provides the potential for better visibility and sharing of information across an entire Supply Chain.

With the objective of spreading awareness about the utilities of Bar Coding,

importance of its adoption and the facilities available from Govt. for acquiring the same, the Institute organized 8 sensitization -cum-seminar on Bar Code for 247 candidates during the year 2015-16 in the districts of Kolkata, Hooghly, Malda, Birbhum by MSME-DI,Kolkata, Br.MSME-DI,Siliguri and at Burdwan by Br.MSME-DI, Durgapur and at Suri by Br. REPORT One day training programme on packaging for export was organized in the Conference Hall of MSME-DI, Kolkata on 14.1.2016 with faculty support from Indian Institute of Packaging, Kolkata. In this training programme 46 candidates participated out of which women candidates were 19 , SC candidates were 6 and general male candidates were 21 in nos. Course fee collected from 21 general candidates @ 400/- to the tune of Rs. 8,400/- is already deposited in Govt. account.

The programme was inaugurated by Director Shri K. L. RAO at 11 a.m. . The Technical Session started at 11.30 a.m. and continued upto 6.30 p.m. with lunch break of half an hour at 2 p.m. Shri Bidhan Das Dy. Director, IIT Kolkata demonstrated various packaging material and packaging methods for Food, Chemical products, Hosiery, Handicraft items etc. He also discussed various functions of packaging, availability of packing materials, export worthy packaging materials, machineries involved in different methods of packaging to the audience.

The presentation was lively with audio visual aids. Specific product and its packaging materials were elaborately discussed with individuals

In the 2nd Technical Session Shri N. Natarajan , Asstt. Director, IIT Kolkata discussed about packaging of ready to serve food items, various liquid products and modern methods of packaging. After Technical Session II Shri N. Natarajan & Shri S,K,Sahu, Asstt. Director (Chem) clarified the question raised by individuals and interacted with them. The average feedback submitted by the trainees is very good.

CHAPTER -8

Credit Link Capital Subsidy Scheme for Technology Up gradation (CLCSS)

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is operating a scheme namely “Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS) for technology upgradation of Micro and Small Enterprises. The scheme was launched in October-2000 and revised from 29.9.2005. The revised scheme aims at facilitating technology upgradation of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) by providing 15% capital subsidy (limited to maximum Rs.15 lakhs) for purchase of Plant & Machinery. Maximum limit of eligible loan for calculation of subsidy under the scheme is Rs.100 lakhs. Presently, more than 1500 well established/improved technologies under 51 sub-sectors have been approved under the Scheme.

NATIONAL AWARD The Scheme of National Awards for MSMEs has been in operation since long. MSME-DI, Kolkata is actively involved in implementing the scheme by involving both Governmental and non-Governmental Agencies in the State. The Small Enterprises Network (SENET) Division attached to this Institute is actively engaged with a variety of activities like networking, storing, retrieving and sharing of all data & information relating to the development of MSEs. 13.3 , Delayed Payments

The Council "West Bengal State Micro & Small Enterprises Facilitation Council (WBSM&SEFC)" in accordance with the provision of the Micro Small & Medium Enterprise Development Act.,2006( MSMED Act.,2006) which provides for facilitating the promotion & development and enhancing the competitiveness of micro, small & medium enterprises. The Council acts as Conciliator or Arbitrator for final settlement of the outstanding dues between the parties & meets once in a month. Every petitioner units have to submit their application in proper prescribed form to the Council for realization of outstanding dues from the buyer units. In accordance with the provision of newly constituted W.B.S.M & S.E Facilitation Council Act, all the petitioner units have to submit an affidavit (duly executed) in support of the documents submitted by the units to the Council. MSME-DI,Kolkata received petitions from 5 units during the year 2015-16. CHAPTER -15 Special Programme : MEETINGS/SEMINARS

1) Patricipation in Business Conclave of MSME-Synergy

1) REPORT ON SYNERGY GOUR BANGA - 2015

A three-day Business Conclave of MSMEs – Synergy North 24 Parogona –Nadia 2015 was held at Guru Nanak Campus, JIS Group, Panihati, North 24 Paragona w.e.f 29th -31st May, 2015. The conclave was held for the MSMEs of districts namely North 24 Paragona & Nadia of West Bengal. The programme was organized by Department of Micro & Small Scale Enterprises & Textiles, Govt. of West Bengal in collaboration with the District Administration of North 24 Paragona & Nadia.

MSME-Development Institute, Kolkata was closely associated with the event. The programme was unique and first time in North 24 Paragona & Nadia of West Bengal and fully dedicated to the local MSME Entrepreneurs and Facilitators.

The programme was inaugurated on 29th May, 2015 by Sri Swapan Debnath, Hon’ble Minister of State, Micro and Small Scale Enterprises and Textiles, Govt. of West Bengal. The programme was presided over by Sri Jyotipriya Mallick, Hon’ble MIC, Deptt. of Food & Supplies, Govt. of West Bengal. Sri Ujjal Biswas, Hon’ble MIC DEPPT of TE & T, Govt. of West Bengal was present in the inaugural programme as chief guest. Apart from that, Sri Pundarikakshya Saha, Hon’ble MOS, Dept of PHE, Govt. of West Bengal and Sri Bani Kumar Roy, Hon’ble Sabhadhipati, Nadia Zilla Parishad and Sri Gouri Shankar Dutta, Chairman, West Bengal Khadi & Village Industries Board and Smt Rahima Mondal, Hon’ble Sabhadhipati, North 24 Paragona Zilla Parishad were present at the inaugural session of the programme. District Magistrates & Collector of North 24 Paragona & Nadia and other important dignitaries were also present at the inaugural function.

The event was multi dimensional, interactive and customized solutions point for MSME sector. It was an effort of networking under a single umbrella among the various groups, Industry Associations & representatives, bank/financial intuitions, Skill development agencies, Technical & Financial Facilitator or Agencies, Government Departments, Social enterprises and NGOs for a common goal to offer accessible and simplified solutions to MSMEs thus creating a more business –facilitating environment for the sector.

The participating institutions and organizations were to discuss the various problems of the existing and budding entrepreneurs, enterprises etc at various

facilitating stalls. There were designated clinics cum Help Desk Pavilions set up by State & Central Government and private agencies to sort out the bottlenecks of MSMEs at one-to-one level.

MSME-Development Institute was allocated a special stall (20’ X 10’) for

motivate and guidance of budding and existing entrepreneurs in the programme. The major schemes for MSME sector were displayed in Bengali and English at the stall by banner. A team consisting of officials of the MSME-DI, Kolkata was engaged with the specific work. Officials of MSME-DI, Kolkata interacted with at the stall on General Quarries, various Schemes like Bar Code, Marketing Scheme, and various specific information including Reimbursement under NMCP Schemes, Public Procurement Policy 2012, CGTMSE & CLCSS schemes with the budding and existing entrepreneur. MSME-DI, Kolkata has prepared leaflets on various scheme of MSMEs and displayed at the stall. The scheme specific leaflets are also prepared by the institute and distributed among the visitors free of cost for wide publicity of the scheme of O/o the DC(MSME), New Delhi, implemented through MSME-DI, Kolkata.

During the last two days of the event, the stall of the MSME-DI received a huge response from the visitors. Specific support was extended to local entrepreneurs to innovative working (IPR) atmosphere, agro business, Food processing, modern marketing techniques, Cluster Development Programme. Intensive assistance & guidance provided to about 275 budding and existing entrepreneurs from the MSME-DI, Kolkata stall during the programme. 2) A REPORT ON SYNERGY DURGAPUR – 2015. Synergy Durgapur – 2015, a Business Conclave focusing on the districts of

Burdwan & Bankura of West Bengal was organised at Durgapur Haat, City Centre, Durgapur w.e.f. 18th to 19th December 2015 by the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises & Textiles, Govt. of West Bengal. Synergy-MSME is basically a business event where different Government Departments, Banks/ Financial Institutions, Service Providers and other agencies sit together under one umbrella to provide multi-dimensional interactive and customised solution to business needs of MSMEs.

The event was inaugurated by Shri Swapan Debnath, Hon’ble Minister of State, Dept.

of MSME & Dept. of ARD, Govt. of West Bengal at Durgapur Haat on 18.12.2015 with the august gathering of Directorate of MSME & T, Govt. West Bengal, District Administrations, Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipatis, representatives of People, representatives of local Chambers of Commerce/ Industries Associations, existing & prospective Entrepreneurs of both the districts of Burdwan and Bankura of West Bengal, Press/ Publicity Media etc. and continued for two days. Over 40 different agencies including various Government Departments, Banks/ Financial Institutions, Professional Consultants and other agencies

61have provided necessary clarifications, assistance available and solutions on various issues related to finance, marketing, technology, statutory compliances, project report guidance, cluster development etc. along with some capacity building courses & training programmes for the entrepreneurs, such as Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), Financial Literacy Programme, Industrial Fire Safety & demonstration by Fire & Emergency Services Dept. of Govt. West Bengal, Corporate Governance by Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) etc.

Like other agencies, Directorate of MSME-Development Institute, Kolkata had also

played a vital role with it’s Officials of Kolkata, Durgapur & Suri Offices by providing necessary assistances on related issues to the approaching entrepreneurs/ people to the MSME-DI Clinic cum Help Desk Pavilion/ Stall during the two days event. Apart from wide visual publicity and display of various Govt. Schemes under M/o MSME, Govt. Of India, 61 participants (in total) were guided/ motivated through one-to-one interactions from the MSME-DI Clinic cum Help Desk of Synergy Durgapur – 2015 by the Officials of MSME-DI, Kolkata and it’s two branches with the help of various Schemes of M/o MSME, Govt. of India during the two days event.

As an overall outcome of such two day’s Business Conclave, as reported by the State

Directorate during the Press Meet had on 19.12.2015 evening, following information are collected:

i) Total Entrepreneurs visited in different Clinics cum Help Desks & Counselling done: >2000 nos. ii) Total Land Mutation and Conversion cases happened in the run up of Synergy: 277 nos.(including Burdwan Dist.: 171 nos. & Bankura Dist.: 106 nos.).

3. Some important Meetings/Workshops/Programmes attended by the Director

Ø MSME-DI, Kolkata and IIT, Kharagpur jointly organized a Workshop on MSME covering MSME Act, steps to be followed/taken by prospective entrepreneurs, various schemes of DC(MSME) etc. on 04.04.15

Ø Visited Kharagpur for site inspection of 25 acres of land in Vidyasagar Park for TCSP taking Shri S. Maity of TR, Bhubaneswar on 10.04.15.

Ø Visited MSME-DI, Agartala on 20.04.15 for administrative & other related works as a Director of MSME-DI, Agartala (Addl. Charge).

Ø Attended Sr. Officers Meeting at NIESBUD, New Delhi from 6 – 7th May, 2015 as per the directives of JDC(Admn.), O/O the DC(MSME), New Delhi. Followed the instruction on activity and performance provided by the Sr. Officers and shared the views on behalf of MSME-DI, Kolkata.

Ø Attended a Seminar on “Total Start – Bengal Entrepreneurs” organised by Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Kolkata on 13.05.2015 and delivered a talk on various scheme of Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India.

Ø Attended a meeting at SDO Office, Barrackpur on 15.05.2015 organised by G.M, DIC, North 24-Pgs. for forming a core committee to perform duties jointly for

development of MSE Sector in North 24-Pgs. Dist. under the guidance of District Magistrate, North 24 Pgs. Dist.

Ø Attended a meeting on 19.05.15 at the office of the Director(MSME), Govt. of W.B. for participating in MSME Synergy at Sodepur, North 24 Pgs. Dist. from 29 – 31.05.15.

Ø Participated in MSME Synergy at Guru Nanak Inst. of Technology & Dental Science, Sodepur from 29.05. 15 to 31.05.15 occupying a Stall (20 ft. x 10 ft.) and displaying banner on various schemes of MSME. Audio visual arrangement was also made for awareness & motivation to Entrepreneurs and Visitors. Most of the officers attended duty in the MSME Synergy. Intensive assistance & guidance was provided to about 275 entrepreneurs by the officers of MSME-DI, Kol. in this Synergy.

Ø Director attended meeting and delivered on “Energy Audits for MSME Entrepreneurs” and various schemes of Govt. of India in the workshop on Green Manufacturing on 25.06.2015 at E.D.I. premises, Kolkata.

A detailed discussion was held towards implementation of PMEGP scheme in Hooghly district. In all 313 cases of DIC, Hooghly and 145 cases of KVIB were approved in the said meeting for onwards transmission of the same to various bank branches.

v Meeting held with representatives of Confederation of Women Enterprise (COWE), Siliguri regarding TREAD Scheme implementation.

v Meeting with CII, Siliguri chapter regarding SLVDP proposal during December, 2015. v Meeting of Director with GM, Sub-DIC, Siliguri & cluster action regarding status of

v The AD(In Charge) and Shri. P. Gopal Krishnan, Office Superintendent, had attended interview process of the applicants of PMEGP conducted at office of GM, DIC, Birbhum.

v The AD(In Charge) had visited to DIC Malda on 20.07.2015, DIC Murshidabad on 21.07.2015 & DIC Birbhum on 22.07.2015 to appraise and to validate the report on the details of training and skill need for the cluster as well as for mapping skill need District wise, prepared by MSME Development Institute Kolkata, by the concerned General Manager of DIC.

v Asstt. Director (L/F), Br. MSME Development Institute, Suri, Birbhum, had attended training programme on “Six Sigma Black Belt” organized by PPDC, Agra at Ooty (TN), from 10.08.2015 to 16.08.2015.

v Asstt. Director (L/F) & Shri. P. Gopal Krishnan, Office Superintendent, Br. MSME Development Institute, Suri, Birbhum, had attended the Mega Credit Camp under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana organized by UCO Bank (Lead Bank) at DRDC Hall, Birbhum on 28.09.2015 where Hon’ble District Magistrate, Birbhum, Hon’ble Sabhadipati, Birbhum Zila Parisad & higher officials of UCO Bank & other Banks were participated. Loans under PMMY were disbursed to large number of applicants during the programme.

v DD (I/c.) &, Asstt. Director (L/F), Br. MSME Development Institute, Suri, Birbhum, had visited NTPC Farakka during 10.09.15 & 11.09.15 for preliminary discussion of the proposed SLVDP at NTPC Farakka and inauguration & coordination of 2 nos. of ESDPs on the topics “Food Processing” & “Readymade Garments” for women candidate (ST), jointly organized by MSME DI, Kolkata & NTPC Farakka at Barhait & Pathra under Sahebganj District, Jharkhand. On 24.09.15 Shri. Nandy had further visited on the same location for follow up of the training programmes.

v Created Professional Tax Certificate of this institute for the first time from Directorate of Commercial Tax, Govt. of West Bengal. First time online

submission of Professional Tax contribution of the officer & staff member of this institute was submitted through GRIPS portal (Government Receipt Portal System) duly generated e-challan and submission the e-challan along with the Demand draft of Tax contribution to SBI.

v Shri. Rajesh Kumar Shaw, Hindi Translator, Biswa Bharati, Shanti Niketan, Raj Bhasa Cell had visited this institute on 17.11.2015 to collect a report. He was shown the amount & effort made by this office to work in Hindi.
