Description: The Certificate of Completion (CCL) is offered to students as a post-associate of applied sciences degree in GateWay’s water treatment and facilities programs and/or to graduates of similar programs. The certificate of completion will prepare students to set-up, operate, and maintain water and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration systems in the highly technical environment of water treatment plants and HVAC and refrigeration facilities. Program content will focus on water treatment technologies and/or facilities systems technologies.

The bio-science research industry produces by-products as a result of its research. Technicians who maintain the facilities, air side, portable water and waste water, must be aware of the environment and how to control pressurized cabinets and outflow of waste products.

Description: The multimedia curriculum responds to the needs of students who seek to combine technical and conceptual problem solving techniques in graphic art, animation, film, video and Web design needed for multimedia production. The curriculum opens exciting learning opportunities in digital design, photo imaging, computing, Internet and the Web, 3D geometric modeling, animation, traditional video, digital video and film.

Multimedia graduates work on music videos, interactive games, television commercials, editorial video production, 3D computer graphics, advertising graphics, animations, architectural model simulation, film and motion picture special and digital effects and web-site graphics. The first year interdisciplinary curriculum requires completion of core courses. Upon completion students choose one of the following specialty tracks: Computer Imaging and Animation, Digital Animation, Multimedia Imaging or the Web Publishing Design.

The Multimedia Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree offers four Multimedia Tracks: Design and Interactive Imaging, Digital Animation, Web Publishing Design, Media Imaging.

Description: The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Clinical Research Coordinating (CRC) is a two-year, full-time program with varied clinical internship experiences recommended for those students without a previous degree or for those seeking a Bachelor’s degree offered through state colleges or universities. The curriculum specializes in mostly didactic the first year and some clinical internships plus specialized didactic CRC coursework and more advanced internships the second year. The certificate of completion program may be completed before completing the AAS degree track.

The AAS degree focus is on the achievement of behavioral competencies and technical skills, including internships at local health care institutions’ research departments and at specialized research facilities. The program prepares students to achieve knowledge, skill, and competencies for; clinical research operations, project management, medico-legal principles, research ethics, clinical trial study design and study data management, research site preparations, subject screening, enrollment, recruitment, follow up visits, maintenance and dispensing of investigational product supplies, completion of case report forms and regulatory documents, and adherence to Good Clinical Practice Guidelines. The program prepares students to obtain various specialized clinical research team positions, including; Institutional Review Board Coordinator, Clinical Research Coordinator, Research Site Manager, Study Monitor, or Regulatory Affairs specialist.

The AAS and certificate programs adhere to the educational standards established by the leading clinical research national associations. Students are eligible to take a national certification exam offered by The Society for Clinical Research Professionals after at least one year of direct clinical research coordinating (CRC) experience and completion of the certificate of completion program, or two years CRC work experience for the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.

Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs) are specialists who manage, and implement human subject clinical trials in a diversity of health care settings, including; hospitals, physician offices, specialty disease clinics, contract research organizations, and various research companies. Clinical Research is performed in numerous health care specialties and diseases to help develop new treatments, drugs, medical devices, therapies, vaccines, biologics, and healthcare services that advance medical and health care for the world. CRCs required knowledge and skill sets ranging from; understanding the healthcare system and basic financing, anatomy and physiology, basic patient assessment skills, math, critical reading and writing, computer applications, clinical research operations, project management, medico-legal principles, research ethics, clinical trial study design and study data management, business applications within the healthcare arena, to quality assurance practices for accuracy and efficiency process development at research sites. The AAS focus is on the achievement of behavioral competencies and technical skills for CRCs including; research site preparations, subject screening, enrollment, recruitment, follow up visits, maintenance and dispensing of investigational product supplies, completion of case report forms and regulatory documents, and adherence to Good Clinical Practice Guidelines. CRCs work with

physicians, sponsors, and many different professional team members in orchestrating the ethical, legal and social implications of clinical trials. Description: This program is designed to meet the increasing need for personnel employed in the construction industry throughout Arizona. It is geared to provide continuous training and retraining to keep pace with advanced technology involving new methods and materials, and to emphasize the human relations aspect of the building industry. A Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Building Safety Technology will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of program requirements. In addition, an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Building Safety and Planning Technology is available. Focusing on construction codes, building inspection, and construction methods and materials, the Building Safety Technology program is designed to meet the needs of personnel employed in city plan review and inspection departments, as well as of individuals working in the building trades. A Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Building Safety Technology will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of program requirements.
