We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land and pay our respects to Elders past,
present and future. Newsletter Term 1 Week 6
Welcome to Weeks 6 & 7
Well we are half way through the term and the students and staff have been busy with
many activities. Some of our students were visited by (Joffa) Jeff Taylor from Toon School
Workshops. Jeff is a cartoonist and speaker who visits schools across Australia, helping to
motivate students on how to feel good about themselves .
On Monday, 10 of our student leaders participated in the GRIP Leadership Conference
held at the Goulburn Workers Club. All students thoroughly enjoyed their day, and
participated in practical and interactive Leadership Training
Athletics Field Events
Students will begin their field events this week in preparation for the Athletics Carnival
which is due to be held on Friday 5th April at Hudson Park. It is advisable that students
wear the appropriate clothing to participate in their events such as long jump, high
jump. We recommend that our female students wear shorts and not dresses. A
permission note will be sent home over the next couple of weeks providing more
information about the Athletics Carnival.
Newsletter will now be sent home with students on Thursdays
News from 2/3M
Congratulations to 2/3M for winning class of the week. The students were able to
celebrate with a uniform free day and a picnic lunch. We have also been doing some
great things for science and learning about things in our environment.
News from K/1R We have been very busy settling back into the new school year and learning lots of new things. Each day
we are working on our phonics, reading, writing, numeracy and more! We have read lots of books - so far
our favourites are ‘The Gruffalo’ and ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. We made our own very hungry
caterpillar and ordered the days of the week along his body. Keeping safe as a pedestrian, passenger
and on wheels has been exciting and fun as we explore Safety Town.
