"A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle."(Pro 18:19)When our love is turned into hatred, it is so bitter. They are so wounded thatmany will never again be able to trust or love another person again.

Resentment and hurt eat away inside and destroy all that we are called to do andto be.

One of the six things the LORD hates...that is an abomination unto Him..."A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren."(Pro 6:19)

Perhaps you think you are "called" to point out other peoples faults and problems...do you make yourself a god that you can judge? Really?? Show me that one inthe Bible.

Do you see that those who "sow discord" among the brethren are an abomination tothe LORD?

To "sow discord" means to whisper rumors around. Gossip, slander, rumors and talking about others behind their backs.

Those who "sow discord" usually have bitterness and strife in their hearts with

    envy and jealously.

James says where envying and strife is ther is confusion and every evil work.

To "sow discord" means to be a "talebearer" and it often one who is a "scorner"...

The scripture says to "cast out" a scorner and the strife and reproach shall cease.

The scripture does not say to "cast out" the one in sin, or the one who is trying to learn the ways of God...the scripture is clear, we are to "cast out" the one who is scorning and the one who is sowing discord among the brethren.

I had a person tell me it was their "duty" to point out the sins of others. Really???Do they now do the work of God and judge another? Really???

No one is able to say they are without sin. If they do they are a liar. Liarshave no part in the kingdom of heaven.

    Here are a few of the Bibles references to how gossipers and "tongue waggers" are to be seen according to the Word of God;

"A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends." (Pro 16:28)

"debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful"

..."Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips"...

"They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under theirlips. Selah."(Psa 140:3)

"Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. Thou sittest andspeakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son." (Psa 50:19-20)

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Rev 21:8)

Whoa...did you catch that? ALL liars have their part in the lake of fire..thesecond death!

"A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape." (Pro 19:5)"A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish." (Pro 19:9)"A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow."(Pro 25:18)

I encourage you today to KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.

JESUS said it this way: "But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: forwhatsoever is more than these cometh of evil." (Matt 5:37)

James says it this way; "let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation."

    condemnation?evil?the second death?perish?punished?

All because of lying gossip and a wagging tongue. Spreading rumors and gossip.Telling lies and assuming to know things that you do not know.

Do not waste your time among people who do such things.

Do not be "caught up" in that trap. The "trap" of gossip and talebearing.

Jesus teaches us:"Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?"

"But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and

    they defile the man."

"For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:"

"These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man."(Matt 15:18-20)

To understand what defile means it is to be impure...unrighteous...unclean...and

    nothing unclean can enter heaven.

Your own tongue can defile you.

Your lies, slander, gossip and talebearing will defile you.

I fear God.I will obey Him and do what HE has said to do.That means I will not gossip and pack "tales", rumors. That means I will let my "yea be yea", and my "nay be nay"....and that is enough.

We hear so much today from many pulpits about our outward deeds...the "things" we do that the church condemns...yet, rarely do we hear the preachers preach to themselves about their own judgemental and tongue wagging gossip among themselves. (Yes they do)

"For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way."(2Th 2:7)

(Col 2:18-23) "Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up

by his fleshly mind,And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as t

hough living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,(Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;)after the commandments and doctrines of men?Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body;not in any honourto the satisfying of the flesh."

For instance..."Oh, let me tell you what I hear Sister JustNewBorn was seen doing!"...I have just condemned myself the moment I say that.

The flesh might have been satisfied but my heart shows the wickedness there, themoment I open my mouth and say such a thing. Vainly Puffed up. You might thinkI am discussing their condition out of a heart of love while the Bible says plainly it is a deceitful heart, condemned by God.

    A heart of wickedness.
