Job Description: LEAD ESTIMATOR - CIVIL & STRUCTURAL
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Basic understanding of other engineering disciplines.
Good command of English language both written and oral.
10-15 ears of e!perience out of which 5-" ears must have been in
estimating and 5-# ears in
construction$ pro%ect coordination or pro%ect support
functions.
&nternational wor'ing e!posure is desirable.
Good interpersonal and team-wor'ing s'ills is a must.
(esult oriented.
)ble to wor' within a multinational and multicultural
environment.
Good leadership s'ills.

)bilit to wor' under pressure.
E!cellent computer s'ills$ especiall *icrosoft E!cel and +ord at
power user level.

Duties
Careful stud of the tender documents$ specifications and
drawings.
iaise with engineering department through the proposal
owner/coordinator for the pre-bid
engineering wor's including material ta'e-off$ specifications$
engineering man-hours$ methodstatement etc.
Chec' the overall accurac of the ta'eoff and specifications
issued b engineering department.
repare material ta'e off for C scope for proposals when there is
no support available from
engineering and when the situation demands.
iaise with procurement department for the
materials/euipment/subcontract prices$ including$
providing procurement department with latest revision
specifications$ *,2s$ liaising withengineering and procurement
departments for technical ad%udication of bids.
reparation of commercial ad%udication of
materials/euipment/subcontract uotations.
reparation of complete cost estimate in accordance with compan
wor' instructions b using
compan norms and procedures.
,ogether with Estimating *anager assess and allocate direct and
indirect costs.
articipate in the estimate review process with Estimating
*anager.
Co-operate in the introduction of new techniues in
estimating
Carr out site visits as and when reuired.
+or' closel as part of a team with both colleagues within the
department and the office team.
Ensure all compan procedures with respect to estimating and
procurement are adhered to.
Ensure that detailed spreadsheets are completed and that an
accurate bid analsis is carried out
on all uotations received. Ensure all the files are maintained
as per compan 3) proceduresand full traceabilit maintained.
