Students in KT were using visualising to enhance how

they comprehended the story they listened to. This

partner ac vity increased the discussion about the

story and helped students par cipate in a retell.

Year 1 students were focussing on developing

resilience during maths problem solving tasks.

Students used ‘the

amazing spli ng plant’ to

model ways a number can

be mul plied by two over

and over again.

Year 3 students had to solve numerical and wri en

me problems using iPads, mini clocks and experiment

with different ways to record their answers.

Year 5 students were learning an explicit way to

comprehend wri en word problems in maths.

Students used the ‘See‐Plan‐Do‐Check’ template to

discuss what the maths ques ons were asking them to

do and explore different ways they could solve the

problem.

Grandparents Day 2018 Students in Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 have been

prac sing to present a great concert to all our

grandparents on 6 June. We are looking forward to a

day of celebra ng the important role grandparents

play in so many aspects of a child’s life. Please be

reminded that the school canteen will be closed for

ALL students on this day.

Crossing Ryde Road a er school We remind all students who cross Ryde Road in the

a ernoons to walk within the pedestrian lines and

cross in a safe manner. Students who cross Ryde Road

to catch the bus have been reminded by teachers to

walk calmly and line up in a sensible way to safely get

on the bus.
