Shepherds, in the field abiding, Watching o’er your flocks by night, God with man is now residing; Yon-der shines the infant light: Come and worship, Come and worship, Worship Christ the newborn King, Sages, leave your contemplations; Brighter visions beam afar; Seek the great Desire of nations; Ye have seen His natal star: Come and worship, Come and worship, Worship Christ the newborn King. THE INVOCATION: O Comforter of the world’s peoples, we tarry in your temple, awaiting a sign. You have long promised that those who hunger for righteousness shall not taste death before their deliverance. But death swaggers now outside our door, taunting us with each strike of the clock. Redeem us, O God. Send your life into our midst; deliver your spirit into our hearts. Then we, once feeble, shall cry, “God, my mother!” We, once feeble, shall cry, “God, my father!” We, once feeble, will become your children; we, once feeble, will take your name. Hear us as we ask all of this and so much more in the name of Jesus the Christ. Amen. THE PRAYER RESPONSE: “Thank You Lord” THE LITANY:

Leader: God commanded the light of divine glory to shine out of the darkness, People: And we beheld that light in the face of Jesus Christ our Lord. Leader: We stood and gazed, as if given an idol on which to muse, People: But we quickly learned that it was a lamp by which to see the truth. Leader: Its light reveals God’s heavenly will for all earthly rulers, People: That they might establish justice and righteousness throughout the earth; Leader: That they might be like the gentle rains that fall upon the grass, People: Renewing the hope of the hungry for food and the stricken for relief; Leader: That they might be like belated showers that drench a thirsty land, People: Restoring the strength of the weak and the faith of the despondent: Leader: That they might be like the sun by day and the moon and stars by night, People: Reviving the joy of the sorrowful and the fellowship of the forsaken. All: Rejoice and make merry! The light that was shining there and then is

shining here and now! Amen. THE DECALOGUE INTRODUCTION: “From All that Dwells” THE DECALOGUE (Abridged): PG. #xv (15) THE MINISTRY OF MUSIC: Trinity Mass Choir THE STEWARDSHIP OF GIVING: #646 “We Give Thee but Thine Own”

THE OFFERTORY PRAYER: O God of creation, you cause the heavens to be glad and the earth to rejoice. You inspire the seas to roar and the fields to exalt. At your approach all the trees of the wood sing for joy, for they know that you come as no other comes: You come as righteousness and truth. As you come, come with blessings for each of us, as we say thank you for the opportunity to give you our tithes and offerings. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen. THE PEACE: (All Standing) Pastor: The peace of the Lord always be with you. People: And also with you.

THE GENERAL CONFESSION: Pastor: Let us humbly confess our sins unto Almighty God. All: Almighty God, Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, Creator and Judge of all people,

we acknowledge and confess our manifold sins and offenses, which we have committed against Your divine majesty by thought, word and deed. We do earnestly repent, and are heartily sorry for these our misdoing. Have mercy on us, have mercy on us, most merciful God, for Your son our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake. Forgive us our sins and offenses and grant that we may ever hereafter serve and please You in the newness of life, to the honor and glory of Your Name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

THE DECLARATION OF PARDON: (Minister) Almighty God, our heavenly Father, Who of His great mercy has promised forgiveness of sins to all those who turn to Him with true repentance and sincere faith; have mercy upon us. Pardon and deliver us from all our sins. Confirm and strengthen us in all goodness, and bring us to everlasting life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

THE GREAT THANKSGIVING and CONSECRATION: Pastor: The Lord be with you. People: And also with you. Pastor: Lift up your hearts. People: We lift them up to the Lord. Pastor: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. People: It is right to give Him thanks and praise. Pastor: It is right and a good and joyful thing always and everywhere to give thanks to

You, Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth: For by water and the Holy Spirit You have made us a new people in Jesus Christ our Lord, to set forth Your glory in all the world. Therefore we praise You, joining our voices with angels and archangels and with all the company of heaven, who forever sing this hymn to proclaim the glory of Your Name.

All: Holy, holy, holy, Lord, God of Power and might, Heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

THE CONSECRATION: (Ministers face Lord’s Table, people sit and bow) All glory, power and honor to You, Almighty God, Holy Father, Creator of heaven and earth,

who did make us in Your own image. And when we fell into sin, You of Your tender mercy did give Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ, to take our nature upon Him, and to suffer death upon the cross for our redemption: Who made there, by His own oblation of Himself once offered, a full and perfect sacrifice for the whole world: And instituted and commanded us to continue this perpetual memorial of His precious death until His coming again.

For in the night in which He was betrayed, He took bread; and when He had given thanks to You, He broke it, and gave it to his disciples, and said, "Take, eat: This is My body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me." In the same way also, after supper, He took the cup; and when he had given thanks, He gave it to them and said, "Drink this, all of you; for this is My blood of the New Covenant, which is poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

Therefore, with this bread and cup we remember the life our Lord offered for us. And, believing the witness of His resurrection, we await His coming in power to share with us the great and promised feast.

Gracious God, You are holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness. Bless and sanctify these gifts with Your Holy Spirit and bless us to Your service that we may faithfully receive in unity and peace the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

THE LORD’S PRAYER: (Pastor and People) Our Father in heaven, holy is Your Name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are Yours, now and forever. Amen.

THE PRAYER OF HUMBLE ACCESS: (Ministers kneeling) O merciful Lord, we do not come to Your holy table trusting in our own grace and mercy, but in the greatness of Your mercy. We are not worthy enough to gather up the crumbs under Your table. You are the Lord and Your love has met and always will meet every human need. Grant us humble access to Your love in the sacramental feast of the body and blood of Jesus Christ and wash away our sinful pride, so that, in mercy we may be drawn near to You and to Him, Who with the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and forever. Amen.

THE BIDDING: (Ministers stand) You that truly and earnestly repent of your sins and are in love and charity with your neighbors, and intend to lead a new life, following the commandments of God, and walking hereafter in His holy ways; Draw near with faith to receive the holy Sacrament, and make your humble confession to Almighty God, in the presence of His Church, devoutly kneeling.

OPERATION ANDREW MONTH: Andrew, one of the disciples of Jesus Christ is called the “Introducer”. He is so called because he introduced his brother, Simon Peter and the little boy with the five loaves of bread and two little fishes, and others to Jesus. This program is designed to de-emphasize the need to dress-up to worship God Almighty, through Jesus Christ; more than new clothes, we need new hearts, and clean spirits. We call upon each and every member to participate. An important element of Operation Andrew is that each of us tries to bring somebody to Church with us, someone who does not have a Church home, who may have been out of church for a long time, those who do not know Him as their personal Savior. God is too good to
