Shipwreck!!

• Scientists have discovered a sunken ship at the bottom of the ocean.

• They believe that the ship is from the 1500’s and that there may be many clues about early explorers at the site.

• Your job is to dive to the sunken ship and gather information about the early exploration.

Your mission…• You will work with a partner and sit on dry land.• You will take turns to swim to the sunken ship,

excavate and “artifact” and swim back to your partner.

• Read about the artifact and complete the notes in the corresponding section of our notes.(this will help you keep track of which ones you’ve completed!)

• The other partner will swim back to the ship, replace the “artifact” in the correct spot, and excavate the next “artifact”.

• You can do them in any order.

Uhhhh…swimming?• Yes• In order to swim, you must put on your goggles,

hold your breath and make a swimming motion with your arms.

• You’re gonna look silly, but that’s part of the fun!• If you do not swim correctly, I will send you back

to dry land to try again.• If you spend too much time on dry land, you will

not be able to explore the ship and will have to read explorer notes from your lab (in other words, it will be homework!)

Question to Consider…
