Godfather from my lenses

Godfather seems to have been pictured in an altogether era from today. Though there is a tinge of criminalization but there is no act of professional crime where some has been impacted. No signs of women getting into prostitution neither any act of lives getting ruined by the act of gambling. A completely organized patriarchal society has been depicted where the power lies with the God father and the only criminal spotted are the traitors. The movie starts in a classical way where a man has come to Godfather to ask punishment for his daughters rapist and the similar fashion continues for 2 more events and this how the movie gave insight to all the characteristic features of all the characters. The movie clearly doesnt give too much importance to the women as nowhere in the movie, Vitoss wifes name has been mentioned. She has been an insignificant shadow, who is just there to pose with her husband in wedding pictures. Conni, the Dons daughter, is so disregarded that her husband is not allowed into the family business and is thrown a bone and later, when he is killed, Michael coldly lies to his sister about what happened. Loyalty to the family is another important aspect of the movie. It weighted more than much expected honesty. The title of the movie is very ironical as it is not about the father but about his son Michael, who is back from military after a long time and is not ready to join his father business. The Godfathers role in the family enterprise is described by his name; he stands outside the next generation which will carry on and, hopefully, angle the family into legitimate enterprises.
