GOD FORGIVES
The Lord said to Joshua, “Today I have removed the re-proach of Egypt from you.” After forty years of wandering in the desert, this hard-headed people have finally reached the Promised Land. No more do they eat the manna in the desert, but they partake of the fruits of their new homeland. God has kept the prom-ise to their parents in Egypt. Even though they were a sinful people, many times ques-tioning God and even worshiping false gods, God has forgiven them and fulfilled the promise. The “take-away” for us is that there is no sin that is unforgivable. We may have of-fended our neighbors, given a bad example to someone, even worshiped the false gods of money and power. But God is a merciful God, true to the words spoken to us. God forgives all and calls us back to love. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
DIOS PERDONA
Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

Easter Flowers Collection
Hopefully, you know that Easter is not just one Sunday but a period of 7 weeks / 8 Sundays – from Easter Sun-day through Pentecost Sunday. Thus, our parish keeps the environment in our worship space reflective of this festive season for all these weeks. To this end, we pur-chase Easter flowers throughout the season. Last year, this cost us just a little under $2,000. Our Easter Flowers Collections have been providing the funds needed for this. Specific envelopes were included in the mailed pack-ets and will be available on the table in the vestibule. Donations, in memory / honor of a loved one, may be made through Palm Sunday (14 April).

Complete catechesis involves four elements: Word – being formed by the message of Jesus
through the proclamation of the Scriptures and passing on the Tradition of our Church.
Worship – participating in the liturgies (in particular, Sun-day Mass) and various prayer rituals of the Church.
Service – being active in outreach to others. Community – interacting with other members of the parish
and diocesan community of faith. Our Religious Education Program seeks to include all four of the elements of a Complete Catechesis. For this reason, Reli-gious Education classes are scheduled on Sunday so that your family will participate in Sunday Mass (either the 10 AM in Eng-lish before the class or at 1 PM in Spanish after the class). For information, please call Becki (795-1633 x 104).
Catecismo

Why is there the option to wear rose colored
vestments this Sunday? This Sunday, the Fourth Sun-day of Lent (also known as “Laetare Sunday”) is rather unique. Like the third Sunday of Advent (Gaudete Sunday), this particular Sunday is a break in an otherwise penitential season. The vestments for this day can be rose. It takes its name from the opening words of the Mass, the Entrance Antiphon (which we replace with a Gathering Hymn). “Laetare [Rejoice], Jerusalem”. The tradition of this Sunday comes from the recognition that we are halfway through our Len-ten time and Easter is nearer to us than when we began on Ash Wednesday. It is also a reminder that salvation from our sins, for which we are repenting, has already been accomplished in Christ, and that Lent invites us to be open to this reconciling, transforming grace.
