President&CEOOverview. The Chason Group, Inc., incollaboration with POWER 10, has been selected toconduct an executive search for a professional toserve as President and CEO of the Greater NorthFulton Chamber of Commerce in Alpharetta,Georgia. Tim Chason and Randy Cardoza of TheChason Group are working with the GNFCCleadership to coordinate the executive search.
About the Greater North Fulton Chamber. TheChamber has been a catalyst for economicdevelopment, business growth and quality of lifefor North Fulton County for decades. With amembership base of over 1,400, the organizationis recognized for fostering strong business togovernment relations and aggressively advocatinginfrastructure improvements for the region.
Some of the Chamber’s cornerstone programsinclude the Talent Coalition, a federation ofbusiness executives designed to develop a globallycompetitive workforce in healthcare andtechnology; Leadership North Fulton; EmergingLeaders Program; Women in Business; YoungBusiness Professionals; and Tech400. TheChamber geographically represents the areas ofAlpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park,Roswell and Sandy Springs.
Position Responsibilities. The President and CEO isassigned to provide executive leadership to theChamber. The professional reports to the Board ofDirectors through an elected Chair. Financialmanagement, human resources development, andstrategic planning and implementation are the keyresponsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications. The minimumqualifications for the President’s position include:Bachelor’s degree, ideally with other post graduatework, from an accredited college or equivalentexperience; a minimum of ten years of executivemanagement leadership experience in thebusiness, economic development and/orcommunity development field(s).
Key Skill Sets. The Chamber’s Search Committeeis seeking a savvy communicator and professionalleader who has the capacity to establish value-added relationships with business, governmentand community groups and individuals to fosterand retain the quality of life in the North Fultonregion. The President should possess the ability tostrategically develop new streams of revenue andevaluate current paths for relevancy andefficiency. Proven organizational experience witha nonprofit and / or business is required.

The Region. Approximately 20 miles north ofdowntown Atlanta, the north Fulton area is thestrongest business corridor in the Metro Atlantaregion. Population estimates are currently in the379,000 realm. Projections indicate the area willjump to 408,000 citizens by 2021. The currentmedian household income is $89,377 with 2021estimates reaching to $100,342. Healthcare and ITdominate the job market in North Fulton. Thereare 113,748 healthcare and 95,513 IT positions inthe defined region today.
Existing Businesses. North Fulton is headquartersto four Fortune 500 companies: FirstData, Intercontinental Exchange, UPS, and Veritiv.With a business climate that is renowned for itsavailable, affordable buildings and developablesites, well-educated workforce, and wide-rangingarray of business services and benefits, NorthFulton has attracted businesses from internationalconglomerates, high-tech research firms and
financial ventures, to energetic localentrepreneurs.
Future Economic Development. Six corebusiness sectors drive the area's economy –technology, healthcare, telecommunications,finance/insurance, logistics and business services.In the healthcare arena, NorthsideHospital, WellStar North Fulton Hospital, Emory St.Joseph’s Hospital, and Children’s Healthcare ofAtlanta have strong presence in North Fulton.
