PROJECTS THAT ILLUMINATE SUCCESS: KUSHMUNDA PROJECTAbout the project

A shining example of the use of a wide range of Gmmco products is the KushmundaProject M/s.SECL – Kushmunda Project produces 47 MT coals per annum. Gmmco-Cat has supplied the complete range of equipment for this project. From loading equipment, hauling equipment to support equipment like dozers and graders have all been used for project operation.

This project has been equipped with Cat® large mining electric rope shovels, hauling trucks, motor graders and dozers.

Fleet includes 2 X ERS 7495 (42 cum), 4X 182M Shovel, 20 X 793D Trucks (240T), 33 X 773E Trucks, 5 X D11T Dozer, 1 X 834K and 6 X 24M Graders. These machines are supported with guaranteed Parts cost and Annual availability. Gmmco provides 24 X 7 service support to these equipments. Kusmunda is successfully meeting its production target with these equipmentalong with product support provided by Gmmco.

We have also used on-off highway trucks from BharatBenz for top soil development and transportation work.

Gmmco is successfully executing MARC contract for India’s largest Mining Machineries at M/S. South-eastern Coalfields Limited, Korba, and Chhattisgarh. The Fleet includes 3 no’s Cat® 7495 – 42 cum Electric Rope Shovel, 2 no’s of Cat 6030 – 15 cum Hydraulic Mining Shovel and 22 no’s Cat 793 D – 240T Large Mining Trucks. The contract period is 12 years with fixed parts and labour rates and 85% Annual Availability Guarantee.

Gmmco has the vast experience of undertaking and executing Maintenance and Repair contract (MARC) successfully. MARC includes guaranteed hourly rate for parts and labour and with guaranteed uptime of equipment 85% throughout the contract period.

Providing onsite technical solutions including fabrication of custom built fixtures to bring back 992G on roll

Loader 992K was under breakdown due to failure of rear turn-on assemblies which is primarily a fix at factory levels. NCL and Gmmco team jointly accepted the challenge to fix the problem

onsite. The work was completed under continued supervision of technical team with 100% precision and equipment was

decommissioned. The rework quality was as good as factory fixed even after 44500 hrs. of equipment usage
